Of course the kids have lost interest. Stones are too hot for them to drop any more dough on. Plus they are watching Mrs. Doubtfire.

That was a funny movie (not sure if its funny enough to get bored of Toll House cookies, but....)

I like the drive-by fruiting scene... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Happy Thanksgiving DIS geeks!! How is everyone doing? I am 700 pages behind now so please forgive me if I just jump in and don't even try to catch up.

We're in Charlottesville, VA right now visiting my parents for T Day tomorrow. On Saturday JP (who is 6 and 364/365 today) had his last basketball game for the fall season, then we got in the car and drove all night to get here by noon. We only stopped for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants -- Steak n Shake. John and Amy, do you have this where you are in OH? They don't have one in MN and we just LOVE it.... By the way, that's about 20 hours in the car for those who are keeping track.

As soon as we arrived in Cville on Sunday, my whole family, including my brother and his wife and kids (who flew in from Calgary), 1 sister, parents and me Paul and the kids all drove 2 hours away to the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. The only person missing is my sister who lives in London. She moved there in April and I have not forgiven her yet. We had a lot of fun at the waterpark for a few days, left our mark on an Outback restaurant (my 1 and 3 year old niece and nephew had the mother of all screaming matches, oy), then drove back here to the parental abode just outside Cville. Right now everyone but me and my SIL and the 2 little ones are at a UVA basketball game. Tomorrow's the big turkey dinner, then Friday everyone is going to see Happy Feet before the Husker football game is on TV -- an annual must see event since me, dh, db and dsil all went to UNL.

Anyway, that's what we've all been up to, hope you are all enjoying this holiday week as well. I am SOOOO excited about the cruise and seeing you all, it seems so close now!

now it's ~ she's babysitting the new puppy...ugh no thanks, that will be cute for 2 minutes and then the girls will try and squich it to death.

then my Grandma will call....with the "we don't get to see you" routine. HELLO.........none of them have anyone to worry about (in terms of getting ready, packing up etc..) and could all easily come here. I have three children I have to drag around.

how are you feeling PJ? I saw earlier that you said it hurt to sneeze. I had that part of the cold last week. now I just make whistling noises when I breathe through my nose. The dogs really hate it. Dh isn't too fond of it either.

ok at work today, it felt like I had a bady in my sinuses and it was trying to get out.

WoooHooo PJ!! Is mom jealous yet? ;)

I was going to add this when I caught up, but since you brought it up.

SHE HELD MY DOCS HOSTAGE FOR TAKE-OUT DINNER! :confused3

Ps. when I asked my co-workers if that was fair, they yelled at mom on the phone to hold out for dinner. :sad2:

:sad2: Wow! You would think if someone was giving you money to help stop you from being evicted you would at least show up! Unreal...I guess they don't care if they are evicted and/or if others are inconvenienced trying to help them.

We really can't judge in this situation....We all can just get in our cars/minivans/suvs and drive someplace...

What if the person had to take the public transportation or even worse in their situation a cab...They're not always on time and traffic is pretty bad tonight.

I couldn't answer 2 of them... :guilty:

Guesses:
- Was Becka the first 10000?
- Twins: Ken and Elaine, and.....hmmm...

Can I be tutored on these? :confused3

Whose is our Captain?

Whose Ken? LOL!

I'm gona go watch the movie with the kids. I think I'll look over our docs some more. I could have sworn we were all in the same book last time, but Sarah and I each have our own. :confused3

A lot better than the others in the house! :rotfl: Amanda is quite mad about it.

Last year & this year we have everyone in one book. SO much easier than when there was a book for each of us. :thumbsup2
