None at the McCarthy's. that stinks. we are in the same state. you would think they could go from canton to cincinnati without any problem. or is it akron?

I'm glad you got yours Amy, John & Sophia and everyone else

HEAR YE! HEAR YE!

The DISer stockings are done and packed up!!! :thumbsup2 I sure hope that I see most of you in the terminal so that I am not carrying these bags around with me all day. :teeth: Have you seen the biggest bag that Target has? One of those is filled with the velour ones & there is another bag of felt ones that is right next to it.

Don't worry, in a few months they will be reunited and the kids will be all grown with their own kids!

Apparently Genie Francis is in negotiations with TPTB at GH to come back. :rolleyes1

I thought you wanted to deliver them to each of our staterooms. How hard could that be after we all get upgraded at the port?

Thanks for all the work Lisa. I can't wait to meet all of you.

The girls are in the kitchen making chocolate chip cookies by themselves... :scared:

Oh, that smilie reminds me that I also added our Santa hats to the cruise packing pile. :)

so how long does it take for them to clean up after themselves? DD loves making stuff but I still can't convince her that she needs to do clean up afterwards. she really does have a good hand at cooking. she likes to try new recipes but really doesn't like to cut things up. we had meatloaf that had really big chunks of onions & green peppers. when I asked her about it, she told me that she is afraid of cutting herself. I have a chopping thingy but heck I am not even sure how to use it.

How did they get THERE? I know we gave them our correct address...I double checked it.

In any case, just forward them on to us so we can be on our way...thanks! :rolleyes1

Dh is at his parents' house with the kids baking pies and helping get ready for tomorrow. I can't go over because of the smoke and dust. I am still not over my sinus infection/cold. tomorrow will be very difficult but the weather is supposed to cooperate. I tend to sit outside a lot because of the smoke. my DH has never smoked but every member of his immediate and I bet 80% of his extended family smoke. they just don't understand how hard it is to go over and have to use the breathing machine when we get home. it has gotten so bad that we take changes of clothes when going from DH's parents or relatives houses to my relatives houses. we even make sure that the kids have coats that we can wash when we get home. I have tried talking to MIL but she says she really cannot quit. she tried once and had kidney problems??? I don't get that but she is not the worst one. BILs are really inconsiderate with their smoking. they just puff away even if Ds & I are already wheezing. I do love my in laws but this is one thing I wish I could change.

Pj

PS I have DOCs in CANADA!!!!! And my last set of DME tags came today as well! I only need to pack, get better and sleep before I board the plane.

how are you feeling PJ? I saw earlier that you said it hurt to sneeze. I had that part of the cold last week. now I just make whistling noises when I breathe through my nose. The dogs really hate it. Dh isn't too fond of it either.

Update: They didn't do bad. I helped them with the standing mixer with the flour. They are dropping them on the stone right now.

Now I have a question?? Let them lick the bowl or no??

I do. :teeth:

Now I'm even more confused... says we're only allowed one ziplock bag... and this is what it says about meds...
Declare larger liquids. Prescription medications, baby formula and milk are allowed in quantities exceeding three ounces and are not required to be in the zip-top bag. Declare these items for inspection at the checkpoint.

I'm still browsing around the site so maybe I'll find out more about meds, but I think the whole airport security thing is going to be really stressful for me.
It really is not that bad. One ziplock bag per person...3 for a family of 3 with each ones meds in their own bag. You will be fine. Really. :grouphug:

I did have them carry the stuff over to the counter for me to put away. They put the dirty stuff in the sink. When they are all done, they will wipe down the table. Of course none of this is on their own mind you. ;)

You aren't the only one. My parents were chain smokers (were - mom passed of non-lung cancer) and I grew up with the smoke for 18 years...When we would go over there DW would also complain to me that she couldn't take it...I finally got to the point where I couldn't go over without my eyes watering being in the same room. We would come home and the clothes would reak...it was horrible. My brothers and I would always harp on my parents about how much money they were throwing away...with no progress. Its an addiction that is hard to break. :confused3

I actually saw a woman (mother or grandmother) walking up the street yesterday with a kid who looked about 12...she was puffing on a cigaratte and then handed to the kid for a puff...if I wasn't moving in traffic, I would have yelled at them. That is just wrong on so many levels... :sad2:
