I would bring it on the trip. I tried to get our pediatrician to give us an antibiotic for the kids - just in case - but he wouldn't. Doesn't believe in prescribing antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. I understand that but I'm a worrywort and like to be prepared for worst case scenario.

Should I get it filled or just take it to the doctor onboard & have them fill it if I need to?

hey I resemble that remark. Aren't the early people wearing our dresses to the parrot restaurant.

Do you mean the tropical Mickey outfits? Usually we do wear those to PC however this cruise early dining will be in PC for both formal nights & those are not our formal outfits. It sounds like many of us are wearing them the first night. Should I put that on the meets plans?

Shockey is MAD, they keep showing him...actually I can't stand him...to me he is a TO.
BUT he was the best at the time I had to choose and needed a TE...and actually given the ball no matter his ankle. Shockey delivers for the most part, although he and ELI have LOTS of issues....

Oh my heck I forgot to tell you all. I had the fluff at work so everyone could see it and last week, during the night, it exploded and attacked my stereo! The employees at scheduling meeting were screaming with laughter. They said you have to take a picture and send this to your friends. It looked like it was growing on the side. Then we all got to taste it. Funny Day!

Is it one of the liquid antibiotics? I think those are only good for about 10 days so you'd probably have to have it done onboard. I know they've recently started giving me chewable antibiotics... not sure if it's only available to specific types or if most antibiotics come in chewables. You could always ask your pharmacist if they can give you chewable form and if so go ahead and fill it. That's what I'd do anyhow.

Oh, but Lisa, my BF got a prescription for antibiotics when they went on their cruise, just in case and her pharmacist was able to give her the powder and instructions on how much water to add if she ended up needing them (she didn't) but that way it wouldn't have involved a visit to the ship's doctor.

Oh, I got that for DS one time & I ended up taking it for what turned out to be a bad case of strep. Thank goodness we had that. It started the day we drove down to WDW on the 2nd cruise.

I was recently given a prescription for penicillin for an achey root canal. Never took it but got it filled and will bring it along in case, heaven forbid, DH or I get sick. I like to be prepared like that. Just wish I had one for the kids but worst case I suppose I can just go to the ships doctor if they get sick. I'm paranoid though since I had to cancel our June cruise over DS's illness.

DH finally has a primary physician and went to his first major physical with the guy. Came back not a happy camper because of the tests (its been 5 yrs since last drink the gross drink). Me being so supportive replied "Everyhing is fine. What do you want something to obsess about since things are quiet" Yeah - I apologized. It just came out.
