I ended up going to TRU at lunch and just about finished off my Christmas shopping for the kids. I have never been done so early. About the only thing I have left is to check K-Mart on Black Friday to get one of those Fur Real Lion Cubs for Nathan for 1/2 price.

I ended up getting Nathan way too much stuff this year but at 4 he is not going to understand that 4 of his presents cost $125 when he sees how much stuff that DD is getting. Quantity means a lot of a 4 year old so I picked him up a few smaller items today to add to his stash (Cars puzzle, Cars UNO game, etc.) so maybe they won't look so bad.

I did end up finding DD some princess shoes that I think will work. They had some Cinderella light up glass slippers for $9.99. They have a wider foot and they are not just slip ons (they have sides like a slipper... ). Plus they have a lower sturdier looking heel. I think she will love them. They are supposed to light up when you walk and they even come on a blue pillow.

It was in The Washington Post yesterday that Dan Snyder (owner of the Redskins football team) and his wife will be attending the soiree. Snyder became movie-making partners with Cruise a while back when his other studio dumped him. Tom and Katie flew out to D.C. to attend a Redskins game shortly thereafter and supposedly, the families "bonded".


(Amazing how easily you can bond when several million dollars are at stake.)

8 Minutes left until I can leave work....

Aaron is picking up the kids and I get to do some more shopping. I need to return DH's khaki's to Old Navy and get the smaller size. I think then I am going to go over to JCPenny's and do some more clothes shopping. I am thinking of getting some black boots and I need to find a semi-formal outfit for DS and DH needs another dress shirt. Boots and mens' dress shirts are both 40-50% off so hopefully I will have some good luck and find something at a good price.
