I just drive toward the terminal and then when I see the Magic I just follow the signs. It's a great sight and I always get a big grin on my face. :goodvibes

I was going to say go to the ship once you get to the bridge. :thumbsup2 I don't care where they dock it, that's where I am going. :)

Directions to the Port:

Disney Cruise Line
9150 Charles M Rowland Drive
Port Canaveral, FL 32920

From Orlando & WDW:

Take I-75 south to Florida's Turnpike. Take the turnpike south to exit 254. Take the Bee Line Expressway 528 east 50 miles to Cape Canaveral. You will cross two bridges on 528. If you look to the left you should be able to see the ship. At this point follow the route 401 exit for the Disney Terminal.

From MCO:

Follow the airport signs to the North Exit and take the Bee Line Expressway 528 east 43 miles to Cape Canaveral. You will cross two bridges on 528. If you look to the left you should be able to see the ship. At this point follow the route 401 exit for the Disney Terminal.

We will be heading to the van by 8:30!!! :cool1: Of course that means that my goal is to be on the road by 9 with the last minute bathroom visits & issues.

Have you guys heard Little Big Town? They came to our local fair - some friends (going on the cruise) invited us to go with them. I am soooo glad they did. I'm not a huge country fan, but I really like this group - so much that I bought one of their cd's - and I've actually listened to it over and over and over (unusual for me). Their story is facinating, too - they have a website.

They are really good! :woohoo:

Its very rough - mom passed Jan 8 2005 and I have been feeling down the last few days thnking about how the holidays were that year. My dad, who I have never get emotional, was a wreck...I think we were more concerned about him then how WE felt.

I am still fairly young and have only lost a few people that I was close to....my grandfather died in the house that was in the family for years...my mom passed in the same house, same room...(both of cancer). My other GF (actually a step-grandfather- but raised as a GF) died of a heart attack while I was away at college - the odd thing was, I "felt" him go...the last week of school before the summer, I felt really depressed one day and couldn't figure out why...my mom said he passed that day (she didn't tell me until she came to get me from school...all I could say was - "I know...")

I only have one grandparent still alove, shes in her 80's...but HER mother is still alive and very active. Which reminds me, DW!! We need to call her and get her pot pie recipe asap...I've already lost mom's mac&cheese recipe and can't afford to lose the Pot Pie, no way. No crust involved...

:grouphug: The first person I remember losing was Mr. Foreman. He & his wife lived across the street from us & they were like our GPs since ours were so far away. He died on my 10th birthday. :( That was suppose to be my special birthday too since it is on the 10th. I attended many funerals of family friends who were elderly while growing up. I haven't been to any family member's funerals though. My Great Uncle Willy was the only one I really would have wanted to go to. That is who DS is named after. I never got to meet him but I treasure each one of his letters. :lovestruc

Men - Warning - Women talk ahead!!

Speaking of hair cuts...I have a dilemma - I'd been letting my hair grow out because I wanted a new style, not sure what, but something different and I knew the best way was to let it grow out first.
SO...2.5 weeks ago, I go to a reputable salon and pay for a haircut from the 2nd most expensive cutter - 'scuse me, stylist - there. Well, you know what's coming...I DON'T LIKE IT!!! It's not horrible, but something is just not right about it - plus it's more maintenance than I want - I'm a wash and go girl - this I have to use a straightening serum, and use a round brush and dryer on!! So, what am I to do???? I want to get it cut again (appointment with her on the 1st for trim/color), but I don't want to wait that long because I'm not liking it now and I don't want to wait too long to see if I like the next cut. SO...what would you do?? Go to another salon? There are 2 others that I'm considering going to. I would like an appointment for next week (to give time for the next disaster to grow out!)...or should I let this disaster continue to grow and let this girl try again? Only problem I see is there will be no time to correct it if I don't like it the 2nd time around. Hmmm...what to do???? Suggestions welcome!

I would be honest with the person. If you don't like the cut, they should make good on it & correct it if they can.

I am drowning in my behindness. I am never going to catch up, so i will try a little each day. Cause I feel like I am missing everything!!!! Catching up is not nearly as fun as being in it NOW!

I do have many suitcases and I am a heavy packer. We have one suitcase that is actually so big we named it monstro.

My hair and drug bag weighs 7 pounds. (fun trivia)

Lisa, I gather from recent posts your MIL is not doing well. I hope you and your family are all ok. Our prayers are with you.

I don't know who is mad at us, but I don't care. We are going on a cruise!!!

John, I was thinking of you yesterday when I was complying with a subpoena for company suing a former sales employee of ours (from 2004) who is, and was in Ohio. They wanted all his employment records, sales history etc... Fun Fun!!!!

No packing yet. Just got everything cleaned and put away from AZ.

I will try to keep up now, and welcome to all the new members who now think I am a new member because I have been READING POSTS FOR 5 HOURS!

kim

ROFL! NO WAY!!! Kim, you can't pretend to be innocent. ;) Didn't you hear? The kids are making plans to go on a Disney cruise with their kids & spouses & Sophia & her family & Savannah & her family when they get older. We can tag along too! :rotfl:

You skipped posts?

No, no...you can't do that....did you see the whole series of posts about the armadillo? That was some story...I forget where that was though.... :rolleyes1

Andy,

I am reading these slowly and i think you are telling me another GA tall tale! I have never seen that show and believed every single word you said. Now I am wary, I mean really, are their any texans or Arizonans on this cruise (except Aaron)... Armadillo.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Also for only the ladies (highlight to read below)...

WARNING MEN! I am not kidding here you really don't want to read this information. You may think I am just trying to give you a hard time but you really will be sorry if you read this. Just pretend you never saw this post! It will be far too much TMI for any of you to handle.

All of this stress has actually pushed back that TOM so while I thought I would have to deal with all of that during the cruise it now looks like I won't after all. I am soooooo happy. It was really bumming me out!

I tell you....the pill the pill the pill!!!! Doubling up so no worries. :thumbsup2 LOL! Now all of you who don't have a white background can read it anyway....but she warned you....TWICE NOW! :rotfl:

So everyone in the Hummerzine will not be there at the time the terminal opens? :confused3

Why wouldn't they? They are leaving at 9. It doesn't take an hour to get the the port from WDW. :)

I heard, I am just trying to figure out how they are going to become wealthy so they can afford to take all of us in our old age. Since Savannah has decided to become an Ice Skater, she may have to sell a Kidney. Of course Sophia could be a famous model and Kaitlyn could be a movie star, so maybe you all will take pity on us with a non professional athlete.

Wouldn't that be funny though? There are some very very cute 7 - 10 year old boys in this group, and they are from good families... In 10 or 50 years maybe a DIS wedding? :rotfl2:
