Anyone can be a member of the PTO. All members have voting rights (but you have to show up at the meetings to vote; we don't send out ballots or have a referendum)
Committees with current business or followup reports share info at the monthly meetings. Committees make their decisions, but they do have a set budget and an income goal/expectation if it's a fundraising event.

A mickey bar to a kid is like lobster to a big kid, so if you have lobster they give you a big, with a big red lobster on it, don't they do that in your neck of the woods? It is to catch the butter drippings. The waiters always tie ours on with flair.

It is amazing to learn what every one likes, dislikes, is annoyed by, loves, you name it! I feel like I am really learning what makes some of you guys tick. I love this thread and I love getting to know each of you! This will be one rockin' cruise!

I have way too many bags. So far I am planning on a large rolling duffel, medium rolling duffel, small duffel, 2 smaller rolling bags and a carryon day bag. Plus two backpacks for the kids. After I started packing this weekend I think I am also going to need another suitcase.

ETA: I also have a garmet bag and a toiletry bag...how did I forget! I am in such trouble!!!!

Ok - now I don't feel so bad!

Any committee that wants to make major changes (kill an event, spend more than budgeted, etc) will go to the president to have it put on the agenda. Discussion and vote at the meeting.

People just volunteer to chair committees. Usually arm-twisting is involved. You can only chair a committee for 2 years (so that no project is under one person's control forever and ever). If no one can be convinced to take over a committee, then you can chair it again (more than 2 years). Officers are one year (again, some people have done it for additional years because no one else would volunteer).

Actually I will be leaving the group around 1 pm ... I have a early dinner with friends who live on the island at 2pm ....I will provide directions to get back to anyone who needs them or you can follow me back , cause I will be returning my Jeep when I come back and walking to dinner ....Directions are real easy ...theres only one road back to town ..lol

I got my AAA TripTik (maps) in the mail. The only thing is that it has us driving through East St. Louis at night.... Um..I don't think so! We will find an alternate route through STL.

You guys won't believe what I did .... then again a few of you might not be suprised.

Last night when I got home I got dressed in some sweat pants and a t-s***. That is what I sleep in. I have been lazy here this morning and I have never changed. I just looked down and....you guessed it.... my shirt has been on backwards all this time.

Can one of you be my personal wardrobe assistant on the cruise and come by my room every morning to make sure I have put my clothes on correctly? This is starting to scare me....

Okay - who is volunteering to be Becka's personal wardrome police????


I guess I can do it since we will be close by!
