Do you guys put your kid's names on door signs? I have some cute ideas for the kids but I can't decide if it would be a stupid move or not?

I hope I have time to make door signs....

Was wondering myself. I got DD and I jackets at Disney Store a few months back (Mine is Tink and hers Eeyore) I'm curious if they're the same ones.

These are brand new. They just came to the store. They are minnie and mickey.

I have to watch these every year that's why I bought them on DVD.

Although it is fun to watch A Christmas Story on TNT all day long!

My DH loves "A Christmas Story." I even got him a t-****t with it on!

You don't need suitcases for that. Just pull out a trashbag & stuff it. Better yet, use those plastic bags from the store so that the kids can help carry them. in.

Did I happen to mention lately that I love my ipod.

It is so cool. I was just listening to My Marie (country) which I love. Then the next song is a rockin' Goo Goo Dolls song. It is so cool. I love that I can Dis and listen to my music and the whole family can be asleep and I don't bug them!!!

I just saw John's post again. The one movie I like is the Shining. Jack Nickelson cracks me up in that one. People have said that I am sick to laugh at any of that movie. I saw an interview with him a couple years ago that said he played the role as a comedy.

I like that movie but honestly can't laugh at it. My dad's a mean drunk and I always felt that he reminded me so much of Jack's character in that movie. Scary stuff.

I don't think it will melt at all. He thinks it will melt in FL. Do you think he is nuts? Do you think the chocolate will be fine?

I've never been to FL but it'll be december so I'm assuming that's not "chocolate melting" weather that time of year.

Well,

It is approaching 1:00, and we still do not have total results, but it appears we have a margin we will not overcome, and our levy will fail. It will be a sad day for our school district, which has done everything right, but I guess the voters are just tired of additional tax.

All field trips will remain cancelled
22-28 MORE teachers will need to be cut
busing will be extremely curtailed
Pay to Participate fees will rise by 50%

AND it will probably be impossible to maintain student achievement with the loss of those teachers.

It is a sad day for our district

Ohio needs another solution.

Speaking of DD #2. I think DrHug mentioned that she hooked up with a couple of guys and formed a band. Well, they started playing in a tavern in a tiny town for no pay (just tips), and now have gigs scheduled in a Casino over on the coast and a couple of taverns around that are paying them. The casino job will pay them about $300 each. They spent yesterday at our house, downstairs, making a recording to send out as a demo to get more gigs. She sings and plays bass guitar on some of the songs. One of the guys is really, really good on the guitar and has a good voice too. He is "older", around our age. She seems to be having fun with it and the little $$ will help her out also.

That sounds fun!! DrHugs will have to guest star with them sometime!

You really did not have mail on Saturday. Maybe you left Friday's mail in the box and saw it on Saturday.

But I remember checking it and there was none there, then seeing the mail truck on my way down the street. With the kids off Thurs and Fri, it probably was Friday.

Something tells me that everyone, including kids, will be known by name quite quickly by the whole ship!

Honestly I was annoyed with him last night. I told him I would let it up to the jury (you guys). The jury is back...and he lost!!!!

I bought santa and reindeer bags. I have chocolate reese bells, miniatures, and other stuff. I need to get working on that!

I'm thinking of bringing candy canes and/or other holiday goodies like that for the stockings. Has anyone else claimed these?

I love to scare myself. Like more thriller than gore. Exorcist was one that did me in though. Oh, and the Blair Witch Project!

I love scary movies, but can't watch Exorcist. Blair Witch was creepy but the girl in it got on my nerves.

That's a great party So did you close it out already or do you still have time to decide? What do you need? The cookware and the knives are really good, but most people just get tons of gadgets... The stuff I use the most are: batter bowls, scrapers, cutting board, knives, bamboo spatulas/spoons... basic stuff. It lasts forever. Oh, and the stoneware too....

I have put it off until tomorrow since she called during Amazing Race.

I wish we could find somone instead of kenneling . . . I know Lexi always has the runs the first couple days at the kennel. She is a scamp, but she is also a fraidy cat, and I don't think she takes real well to new situations. Even at doggy day care she jumps at the window when I drop her off as I drive away.

We are so lucky. My mom and dad come to the house and take care of the dogs. My FIL also comes by and watches TV with them. I think they get more attention when we aren't home than when we are here!!!!

Hi Everyone

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was quiet. Autumn went to grandma's for the weekend so I could have a stress free weekend. Thank God for my parents. I do not think I could survive with out them. Autumn goes for a pre op appt tomorrow and has an MRI on the 20th. From there they will decide when the next surgery will be. We will forsurely hold off till after the cruise and hopefully after xmas. We decide will will definately have to take her scooter with us on the trip cause she does not have the strength the walk long distances right now. I think she can handle about 2 blocks. Its going to be a tight squeeze in the cabin, we checked to see if there was any handicapped rooms left and there was none. I was surprised when I found out that non handicapped people can request these rooms. I guess I should have thought of this when we booked oh well no big deal.

I have been packing slowly over the last week and will finish everyone thanksgiving weekend. Only need to buy a few things still thankfully all little things. We are getting so excited to go. I managed to find our arcade cards from the last trip. Hopefully they still work.
