Two questions...

Question 1 - How much do they charge to press your clothing on the ship?
DrHug had some slacks and shirts pressed and it was not much at all. Pressing is 1/2 of the price of washing. Sorry I don't have the actually price, but it is very affordable for a few items.

I'm going to get out of here for a bit. I have tried Target & DISing and can't shake the blah mood I woke up with. Maybe I am just worried about MIL but I haven't felt this low in a while.
:grouphug: Will give you a REAL HUG in less than 4 weeks!!

and for the goodies...what number is everyone basing the count on? I was thinking 200, but with 168 confirmed was thinking of just saying 170.......
I have 192. Just because that's the amounts they came in (144 and 48)

Conf call over. I need to get my butt in gear. DD to school. Get brain to function again. Hope to check in later....
Have a good day Carla.

ETA: it's obvious I need glasses....I can't even see the numbers from my office chair!

I just finished up what I hope is my last order with Oriental Trading! It looks to be here on 11/22. I plan to turn around and ship my boxes that day if possible. I know the post office has got to be crazy this time of year.

I want to finish the magnets this week and get them all laminated and bagged up by family. You should have seen John trying to come up with some Mickey concoction for his "own" magnet - I am not sure he was ever taught how to use scissors properly in Kindergarten.

Do you think I can ship my goodie bags which will each contain chocolate???? I never did the shipping thing but we have so much!

Okay - caught up!

DH also asked if we had any events scheduled for our group....I responded, "Events?! Events?! We have a wedding to attend, my dear! And there is this race on CC that you have to attend." He said, "For the beach?!" I said, "Yup."

By the way Kristina - he is looking forward to meeting you guys at the airport!!

I think they would be ok....but I wonder is the warehouse airconditioned? I think it will be cool enough though that they would be alright.

I told DH that he, John1 and Mike were going to be the Cheetah Boys. Actually, I told him I signed him up...to do that. The look on his face was priceless....he couldn't think of anything to say but what do I have to wear for this?

is someone making us a schedule of the activities...? Did I read that somewhere? and not the DCL activities, the DIS activities.

I am very nervous about shipping to this place. Did you ever hear of anyone not getting their stuff?

I like to steam vegtables in the microwave too. This way we can eat fresh vegetables and they are ready quickly and you don't lose as much nutrients as boiling. I put in a little bit of water and cover with plastic wrap leaving a small vent. The steam is very hot when you remove them so be careful.
I do this with green beans, sugar snap peas, asparagus, broccoli. It allows the vegetables to be crisp and not soggy.

I think it works the least well with asparagus because I like my asparagus to be perfect. and if you miss the timing the asparagus can get droopy.

elaine

I got a cool Tupperware microwave steamer thing. I loved steamed veggies.

I didn't even consider doing the boxes until today. My DH is secretly freaking out because I have so much stuff to pack. I am pretty sure I will ship my Dis goodies.

This will be my first time shipping there as well. Hopefully everything will be smooth. I am sure someone on the main board would have posted if they did not receive their boxes.

I just clipped my DS's fingernails. I swear he acts like I am cutting off his finger tips! I am traumatizing him today. I threw his favorite blanket in the wash machine. He said "You know I do not like that washed. I like it to smell good." Yuck...he calls it good when it needs to be washed!!!!
