Ok I came on to post a note to Charlotte and what do I end up doing but start to read and I haven't read for days and days. DD just came in to say "Are we going or not..." This time I am in my office on the computer and her Dad is on her computer which is adding insult to injury.

Oh she came in to see what I am typing - gotta type fast and send her out. Now that she can read she can't sit here on my lap and look at the smilies.

She saw her package today - she loved them! You are so sweet Charlotte to offer these to us. My nephew was MOST impressed. He read the label to her. She didn't open it last night because we went to the Halloween event but this morning I got her to get up and do everything that I requested (hehe) and then she got to open it.

"How did that Tink know we are going on the cruise?! ...What neat ideas! I wonder who thought of them...well of course it must have been her because she would like that attention. Remember her with the Mermaids? She would not want anyone else to pick it out would she?! Wow this is veryspecial!"

We've also put them away until the cruise.

Raining raining raining. If we did not have errands we'd stay home. DH got up early to get that tire for the Saturn (that saga still continued). Turns out the rim issue is never ending because the version of the car we got at the time was a special addition (bigger engine, tire) they don't make it anymore! After 7 years the dealers don't keep them.

ok this one is pretty embarassing but as long as Lisa told the story about DD peeing on the corner, I can tell another one about Giona.

His nursery school teacher has a fake boulder in her front yard, as ornament?
He stood on top of it and pulled down his pants in front of several other kids and peed like the Dutch boy fountain. It was both funny and mortifying. I just can't understand where they would get the idea that that was kosher. He didn't go behind a tree, he stood in the middle of the yard on top of a rock. Definitely some self esteem issues there.

Quiet day on the boards today! We are heading out in a bit to get DrHug an eye exam and glasses ordered at the VA hosp. Nice they have Sat appts now. Then hurry home to see some football.

Miserable weather and day. We went to eat and the Cinc/Syracuse game was playing. We are off again. I'm going to the Hallmark Store for that sale and DH and DD are going to Seussical the Musical Storytime at the library. It's at 2P so we all need to get a move on.

Weather here is terible also. Rainy and very windy. John and Alex are at the big footbal game today. It is a high school game and a huge deal. It is a tradition and over 100 years old Several years ago Sports Ill. did a big story on the game, cover and everything!!

Actually the weather here is very weird.... Raining one minute with hail and thunder and lightening and now I look out and it is snowing!! The wind is terrible!! Another crack of thunder with the snow!!!!

I'm highly allergic to animals but we have 2 minature poodles. they don't have fur. they have hair, therefore they don't produce as much dander as other dogs. I saw a labroodle (sp) last week they also only have hair. I never thought I could have a dog but we stumbled upon a terrier poodle the new years eve after we were married and we have had poodles ever since. they are so comforting--they act a lot like cats--sit on your lap and pet. they also love getting in the window like a cat and laying there watching the outside world.

our weather has quieted down a bit since yesterday. very windy but at least it is not raining. ds's soccer game was put on rain delay. dh said they would play and he is right. it was scheduled for 11:30 now we get to go at 4:30. its tourney weekend, the league doesn't want to delay todays games because that would mess up the whole schedule. well hopefully we won't get what Amy & John have. you guys are north of us. we have the wind but no thunder/snow storms. just keep it up there through tomorrow so that we can get the games done.

I had to join the tradition of DISing from the library. Of course I was the one who took DD to the story telling because DH was so slllloooooww. He met me there. So now I am off.

He makes me laugh though. I was sitting next to parents from DD's class and when he came in he motioned me over. I went over and pointed out DD was sitting beside her classmate and he could take my seat. Oh No Way. Gee, he might have to "speak" to someone he didn't know. I guess that it was bad enough that we dragged him to the Halloween event yesterday. Here is the funny thing, last night he said "I really enjoyed myself last night." I said "Excuse me?!" I thought I'd misunderstood. He laughed and repeated it.

Ok, the storytime is only 45 minutes if I don't go now I'm not going to get to the Hallmark store. Since church is at 4P I'll feel rushed if I can't leisurely check it all out.

ok peeps..... Ding is a software program from southwest airlines that you download onto your computer......

Then you can set it up to pick the airports you want to see the special ding fares.... When a new list is available your computer supposedly dings (like in the SWA commercial.... Ding fares are not available on-line or over the phone.... Yes you can use a credit to purchase them..... Dings are only valid for a short time ...Like say it dinged now...That special may only be bookable within 3 hrs or something like that .....

If you want to rebook a ding fare later on (say a week or month later) you are subject to what ever fares are offered then (not the original fare)

You forgot to say, "You are now free to move about the country." Likw SW does.

Ok...funny story but not about peeing anywhere....when Devon was little we were in a Target in Philly and were shopping (of course). We turned into another aisle and there was a teenager with a big pointy mohawk haircut that stuck up real tall.

Devon screams out, "LOOK MOM, Indian Hair!" We just turned and walked away.

truthfully, if you are going to have hair like that - it is going to be commented on - just a fact. I try and act natural about those things and just discuss with them why some people like to make a statement etc. .....
