That's an "accidental" pirate! (Congrats by the way!) A true pirate swoops in at the last minute and steals it! ARRGGGHHH! pirate:

Actually DH doesn't collect anything or have many outside interests. His biggest problem is losing things and that includes tools. They somehow get "lost" or ruined between here and work. Hopefully the garage will fix this. Although he has already filled up some of it with stuff for the restaurant. He does like to buy stuff that we will need "eventually" though. We have two different lamp posts that he never decided on which one he wanted and never got put up.
:rotfl2: :lmao: We have tons of this stuff. The kids call it "the pile of stuff Dad bought and never opened!" :lmao:

I just said NO!!!

The secretary called and someone who I called every day last week to come pick up their order showed up. I told her to have the cafeteria manager get the box out of the freezer for her. Another person called to find out when someone would be there so she can pick it up. She will have to call me to set up a time when it is convenient for me. :thumbsup2

Good job! Breathe in, breathe out...

I have just updated the website confirming all of the seating arrangements for us. I have requested that we be given the table numbers before the cruise....we'll see. :)

:rotfl2: DH is the king of taking stuff back though when he finds he won't use it. At least usually. I swear the people at HD and Lowes know him by name.

We went to McCormick and Schmick's for dinner. They have a free dinner for veterans each year for Veterans Day. Dennis got his free meal and we bought mine. We had salmon and it was yummy. It is also pretty awesome to sit in the room with all those heros. There was a table of about 20 people right by us and they were all marines from different eras, both male and female. The whole restaurant is packed with vets every year. Dennis thanked the hostess for doing this and she said it is their pleasure and that this is the most exciting day in the restaurant, including Christmas. She then said "don't get me choked up here". How nice is that?? :thumbsup2

Love it!!

On Friday I was pumping gas and at the next island over a younger guy got out and walked up to an elderly gentleman, pointed to his license plate and asked "Did you serve in the War?"...the elderly man must have said yes, and this young guy held his hand out and said, "Thank you!"

It was short, sweet and sincere. But I started bawling at my gas pump!!!

Would this be the dining manager doing this Lisa? In the gratuities section, they are listed as your discretion, but I never knew there was one or at least who they were. KWIM?

What a sweet story Karen!! I'll bet it made the gentleman's day! :thumbsup2

We have this problem too - we are trying to unload all the pre-school toys. As soon as I put something into a garbage bag the kids see it as a new undiscovered toy box and start pulling everything out to play with. It's like wokring backwards - is there an equation for this? I end up in the negative column. I can only get things done when they are not around.

elaine
We piled all the PS toys into a box and sent them to Grandmas. I told DD she could visit them when she went over there. You see, Santa is on the way and Birthday is on the way, and we will need room at home for new toys.

I did let her choose which ones went. One for GM and two for home.

Good thing Grandma just moved into a new house with a big empty playroom! Lucky me!

I called DCL the other day to make sure we were credited for our Repo cruise. There was a reduction in port charges I believe. Got $224 knocked off. Rebooking onboard can save us another $1250, tips included another $761.50 (plus free us up to tip better if the service is excellent!). Plus we can get about $900 in ship board credit between DCL and DU. All in all it will cost less than 2 - 7 night cruises for us! :woohoo:

A girl can still have here dream...

I have been thinking about this. How do you approach someone who you know is extremely mad at you? I don't want her to think I am rubbing it in or being snide in anyway. That is the part that has me hung up. I don't know the best way to go about doing it.
Delegate then keep your hands off for a while. People have been offering to help, use them.

I'm going to delve into the DCL DVD. I haven't gotten a chance to see it all yet...

Kim - love the pictures of your daughter. She is such a cutie. I LOVE her hair!!

I will tell you my day...I will give you it play by play...I will of course break it up....(I need to help the post count)

Wake up and get everyone ready for Chruch...rushing around as always.

The current pres. and the sec. did not have the ballots run off. The pres. "This was not my fault." She was actually telling people this! I did not hear this as I was actually teaching SS to little children. This is what was told to me later.

We finally get our ballots. The current Pres was pacing the halls (instead of going to SS like everyone else.) After she got the results she sat in the church office and cried. This woman sings in the choir (which I direct.)
She cried for the ENTIRE service. She was bawling during the anthem. I was sitting directly in front of her. It was horrible. I feel like this woman might have a nervous breakdown or something. It was unbelievable.

We despiratly needed a change. One of the counters told my DH that it was a total landslide. I have been praying for her. I never thought she would take it so badly. I didn't want to hurt her....it was just time for her to give it up. KWIM?

The story gets "better."

Better? How?

She doesn't sound like someone I would want to be our church SS President.

The pastor was preaching today....about CRYING!!!! The scripture was about Laserus and Jesus weeping. He was talking about Jesus and compassion. But he was talking about crying alot...and there was the current pres....bawling. It was very awkward. We are not a Catholic church (they usually have the choir loft in the back in a loft.) Our choir loft is in the front of the church. The entire congregation saw this. It was horrible.

I was so happy that I won but I couldn't "be happy."

Hugs Brandi. We're happy for you and you can be happy here!!!

The weather has been very jumpy lately. Makes it hard to get used to the cold when the temp do drop. KWIM? But I am very thankful for the warmer days. I swear I am ready to move south!
:sunny:
It's really cold today. I had to wear a sweater.

Do you know the difference between a Yankee and a D*** Yankee?

Oh wait, wrong audience. :rotfl:

Georgia has a coastline. You can keep working a resort area!

I am the WW queen! OK, not really but I worked really hard last week and at weigh in today I was down 4.4 pounds!!! :woohoo:

Of course this week is going to be rough so it is probably a good thing I lost so much this past week! ;)
