There is always that option, but I never think of that because for me it's about what I can get that's exclusive to DCL. Otherwise I bring whatever I like for decorations. I might, however, break down and get their birthday celebration gift with the decorations and little cake - - to see if it has improved - lol. The last time I had that, the package did not include the door magnet, but now it does.

Then again, maybe I should save my money towards a few Apple Black Martinis to celebrate.

What is everyone doing about Christmas decorations at home? Asked JIm if we should decorate ahead of time and he said no. Needed to remind him, by the time we get home there will only be 12 days till Chrimstmas. Now I am in a panic. I am a planner. I am almost done shopping. But the thought of packing, decorating, baking and work in between is making me worried. Plus, I am going away for a girls weekend away next weekend. Hope that helps me relax. How is everyone else getting things done?

I am doing it after Thanksgiving. I have about 1 week and that will be my pre-cruise project. No tree before we go, that would be dead.. but everything else will be up and collecting dust. Presents will wait until I get back, though I have most the stuff already bought for Sianna - and family gifts I may pick up in St. Martin. Since we will be in FL until the 16th, we only have a week before Christmas! We have Seaworld, Discovery Cove, and Busch Gardens planned for that week.

My Mother-in-law has a house in our backyard, so she is feeding and watching the dogs for us. I don't 'bake' so don't have to worry about that, and holidays cards will be mailed before we go.

My cruise packing is starting to accumulate on my office futon, though I will have to move it next week because Mike's Grandmother will be sleeping on it when she does a 5 day visit next week.

Since we are driving down I am doing up a box of two of 'stay in the car stuff' which is basically beach towels, and some small stuff we will need for our time share versus the cruise. We will leave it in the car while we are on the ship. Nothing of value, just stuff to make our life easier like Mike's coffee packets

I'm tired.. spent the last few days building more sites. The good news is..we finally rented our other house on Tues.. better news...they may actually buy it from us before the year is up. Keep your fingers crossed!

I am going to ask John if he will put the tree up next weekend. dont think it will happen. We leave for Pgh the 20th and wont be back til the 27th. if not ... .it will go up the weekend after Turkey Day.

I normally send my Christmas cards out the first week of Dec... looks like that might not happen either.

I have a feeling time is going to fly!!

We did a week long WDW stay and a 3 night cruise last year in early December and opted to do nothing with decoarting. Since we have no children and we spend our whole holiday traveling from one family to the other (they live 8 hrs apart), we thought it would just be easier. But when it was all said and done, we really missed it. Especially the DH. This year we leave the day after Thanksgiving to head to the world we have decided that next weekend and the following week will be christmas decorating time. Yes the neighbors may wonder but who really cares lol

I will put up our Christmas trees the day after Thanksgiving. They are artificial - one for inside and a smaller one for the covered part of the patio (The lizards love it!). I'll also do the inside decorations. The outside can wait until after the cruise. We don't string lights outside, but have several wreaths and such plus a glittery wire-frame snowman and penguin. Hey - This is Florida and I can dream, can't I?

Speaking of Dream - Did any of you watch the actual RIDE on the AquaDuck on Good Morning America this morning? It was so cold that she wore a wetsuit. Doesn't look like you can see much from inside the tube due to the fogginess from the water. I would feel claustrophobic. What surprised me is that it seemed to move a lot slower than I expected. I've never been in a waterslide tube but have seen some and they were all faster. Hmmm. The structure does seem to dominate the ship, as I figured it would, but I'm sure the ride will be fun for all those looking forward to it.

We will do our Christmas decorating Thanksgiving weekend. I will have my cards ready to mail before we leave but not mail them until we get back. My shopping is almost completed. I will try to have the presents wrapped and under the tree before we cruise. I don't do any cookie baking anymore, I find that if I bake them we will eat them. On Christmas Eve my neighbor brings us a tray of her cookies. I try to have as much done before we leave so that when we return we can just relax and enjoy the Christmas Season. I love Christmas time.

quick question about FE. I thought I read the asterik was for a yes, but Some asterik have a no. Just plain ole confused. My darn printer is acting up and cutting some off the list at the end of the page. Keep printing and changing size and still get the same. Just want to check the final total. Doing FE gift today.

The asterik is if your information is correct! still have you as a yes for the Fe list!

The Cruisin Nuts website is accurate for the Fe list of names etc... my goal this weekend is a spreadsheet for the fes.

Yep - Those we have as doing the FE have a "YES" in the FE column of their listing. Has nothing to do with the asterisk. As Val noted, the asterisk by a user name indicates that the user has confirmed that their info (number of people, ages, stateroom #, etc.) is correct. I did this because some people had stateroom changes or assignments from GTY, or changed their dining or whatever, so when they notify me or post on the thread that their info is correct, they get an asterisk!

thanks for the asterik confirmation. was originally trying to find the post that said what it meant, but could not find it right away, but knew someone would respond quickly. Didnt get the FE done today like I thought. But, after going thru all the presents and making my lists, I can say I am about 85% done Christmas shopping. Dont like to wrap too soon, like enjoying the music while I wrap. 4 weeks and I will be on a plane.
