12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

Cool! Thanks! When she finishes, if you like you can email it to me at Taswira (at) msn.com. (Replace the "at" with the proper symbol - lol)

Yeah - Some of those lines/words aren't very clear, with those little chipmunk voices. I didn't want to rely solely on my own interpretation - ha-ha. Between us I'm sure it will be deciphered to close enough though. I appreciate the effort! :thumbsup2

Shari- we emailed. She really wanted me to post it too, "Just in case other kids want to start learning it too, Mom." Sorry it's such a long post- I promised :confused3

Lyrics to the Chip and Dale song
We are two chipmunks on vacation. My name is Chip, my name is Dale. We want to trip the lights fantastic. I know the boat I want to sail and on a sunny day we play a a and gather peanuts in the bay a a. It’s a holiday.
We’re on vacation, rest an relaxation- sand and sea are o’ so nice it’s a tropic paradise.
We landed here on this island and all it’s shells we want to see. We want to dine on peoples’ picnics “yum yum” while they’re playing in the sea and we can hear the people say a a looks like our food just walked away a a “purr”
We’re on vacation, rest an relaxation- sand and sea are o’ so nice it’s a tropic paradise.
We climb up to the tallest tree- I take pictures(Chip) They’re all of me!(dale) We play in castles made of sand. I hope I get a tan- me too. We are the chipmunks on vacation my name is Chip, my name is Dale. We want to trip the lights fantastic. I know just the boat I want to sail. La la la la la la la la la la la la la ha ha.
Talking…Hey Chip! What Dale? I’m up here in this tree. So what are you doing up there? Lookie I found these huge acorns up here in this tree. Those aren't acorns, they’re coconuts. Oh well here’s one for you catch. No don’t drop it, Dale get over.. What do you want? (then they start to fight) Wait wait wait. We have to sing our song now.
We’re on vacation rest an relaxation- sand and sea are o’ so nice it’s a tropic paradise. 1 more time now- we’re on vacation rest an relaxation- sand and sea are o so nice la la la la la la la la la la la la

translated out of Chipmunk by Mac :cheer2::thumbsup2

Thanks, Mac! I received it and I replied to the email. :)

I will post it on our website sometime tomorrow morning after I make a new page for it. I really appreciate your help with this. :goodvibes

Shari

Shari- She can't wait. She says you are a very nice lady. Too cute! I love the DIS! :goodvibes
Tell her THANK YOU . . for everything!

I added the lyrics HERE and they are also linked from our News and Fun pages, with a little paragraph thanking Mac.

I noticed she had "corrected" the bad chipmunk grammar of "Sand and sea is" to "Sand and sea are" - lol - but I switched that back to the way they sing it, just so people can sing along. Uneducated chipmunks! ;)

Anyway, I just altered a few words of the translation. Please let her know that I appreciate her help VERY MUCH. I certainly would never have figured out those line about the shells and the picnics! Mac is a gem! :thanks:

Oh! You made her day. She is so funny. She spent at least two hours at my computer yesterday, "translating chipmunk" as she put it. I went to sleep with it in my head :) She is so excited to meet the other kids and you too!
Have a great weekend and thanks again for all of your work on our behalf. You are an amazing headmunk!

Stephanie

:cool1: Mac for translating. I was giong to have the kids work on it this weekend. I listened to it the other day... I was clueless. :rotfl2:

Well it is day #6 of rain here in Georgia. I am officially tired of it. ( I thought I moved to drought capital of the world.) it is now flooding capital. the pool has been overflowing for days.

the kids and I put up the Halloween decorations last night. we did this while John is in Germany. he is not a huge fan of decorating for holidays.

hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Stephanie - It's a pleasure! And THANKS to both of you for the compliments. That's so nice of you. :goodvibes

Val - Sounds like you've had a lot going on! I'm with you on the rain. We're not flooding, but the everyday rain of central Florida makes it impossible to make any outdoor plans this time of year. I get so depressed over it sometimes. Tomorrow I am putting up Halloween decorations. Even without kids, I am BIG on Halloween decor!

EVERYONE: In addition to Mac's lyrics page for the vacation song, I added something else new to our cruise website today. Check out our NEWS page again (You may need to refresh the page if this doesn't show) and scroll down until you reach the CRUISIN' NUTS LICENSE PLATE graphic. You're going to love it! This was created for me by DIS user "jordak." It is perfect for making a door magnet. :thumbsup2

Shari- so cute! Love the license plate. Can't wait to magnetize it.

Val- I love Utah because it is so dry- I am a rain hater too. This past June we had about 24 days straight with measurable rain. I was ready to move somewhere drier like Oregon! Hang in there. Rain is so depressing. Maybe you can work on cruise stuff or something!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.:woohoo:

Being mostly "stuck" in Florida nowadays looking after my elderly mom, I really miss the DRY climate of my other home - Idaho. But it seems almost everywhere is experiencing abnormal weather this year . . too hot, too cold, too wet. I hope things return to normal.

Stephanie - I love Utah also and have skied at Snowbird, Alta and Park City. Nice area. :thumbsup2

big shocker... day 7 of rain! I have mentioned I am not a huge fan of rain? Utah sounds wonderful right about now. :) We were there in 98, we saw Zion etc. beautiful!!!! we want to take the kids out west sometime, but we are overbooked for vacations for next year.. maybe in 2011. :)

I sympathize. It seems here in the south, every home should have a boat . . just in case. :boat:

Anxiously awaiting 2010! :hyper:

welcome back Jennifer!! :)

remind me where you went to eat!! :)

We went to eat at

Tony's Town Square at the Magic Kingdom - I had spaghetti and sausage ( I know boring lol but had to try it lol.) and chocolate cheesecake (it had a pretty stencil design of Lady and the Tramp Eating spaghetti).

Coral Reef at EPCOT - I had the NY strip steak with a Ceasar salad and Chocolate mousse for dessert. I have to say the Ceasar salad was amazing, so much parmesean cheese it didnt miss one bite.

Mama Melrose at Disney's Hollywood Studios - This was a huge surprise to me I had Chicken Pipette - and besides Le Cellier this was my favorite meal.

Les Chef De France at EPCOT - I had the Onion Soup which was terrific!! The Beef filet and chocolate mousse.

Sci Fi Dine In at Disney's Hollywood Studios - I tried the BLT soup what an interesting taste great tomato soup with bacon and lettuce added to the top. Im thinking of trying this one at home. I had the Reuben for my meal it was ok. It was kind of soggy, so much so that our waiter dropped the plate when he came to clear the table because it was slippery. Then I had the PB and chocolate cake which was really good.

Le Cellier at EPCOT - for our Final meal, what a way to finish I had the bread sticks which are part of every meal, ( amazing) I dipped them in my Cheese Soup (highly reccomend you try it) then I had the Le Cellier signature steak with mushroom rissoto it just melts in your mouth. I could eat it at least 3 times a week lol. I also tried the cream cheese mashed potatoes! and to finish my meal off right I had the Chocolate mousse (which comes looking like a moose!!)

Over all We had an amazing time and some great meals. I am going to post a full trip report in another spot later this week. Meals parks etc.. Sorry to go into such detail hope noone mind lol.

Jenn - You realize that we'll all gain weight simply from reading that post! Time to exercise!

And my problem is that I'm close enough to head down there and order everything you had!

If you would like to have your user name on our cruiser list link to a photo of yourself or your entire family that's on this cruise, please email it to Taswira (at) msn.com and I will get it done! :surfweb:

:thanks:

Just saw the latest on the TV news and it looks like it's still going on. Are you anywhere in the vicinity of the worst of it? Frightening!

Keep posting to let us know you are okay.....

I'm glad you are ok.

taswira - lol I gained weight eating it all even with all the walking I did.

Yep - Sure glad you are okay, Val. :)

Today I added MS Word docs of current menus and info for restaurants, room service and quick service locations on the Magic. I got the menus directly from DCL's website. They will be updated if I am aware of any changes before we sail.

See our new MENUS page for links to the menus. I saved them in a format that should be compatible with older versions of Word.

Jennifer... all the dining sounds wonderful!!! :) I think I gained weight just reading about it. :)

The rain has stopped for now!!!:cool1: it was sunny yesterday and today. I hear a bunch of roads are still closed etc. what a mess! I am just thankful we were not in danger .
