12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

Thanks! You are all most welcome! I hope to improve the site more as our cruise gets closer, and I am so happy to be sailing with such a wonderful bunch of Cruisin' Nuts! :cool1:

486 days and counting -- is it 2010 yet?
Not quite, but we are getting there. I'm just glad we have a cruise for this October coming up and another Disney Vacation in March to look forward to before this cruise. Keeps me busy planning and not thinking about the ones that are so far away yet :(

Hey all - BIG news! First off, I am thrilled with our Cruisin' Nuts and how everything is shaping up. I am anxious to meet everyone and I'm hoping to come up with more ideas and good content for our Cruisin' Nuts website soon. But I want to let everyone know . . .

I will ALSO be sailing on the January 9, 2010 Magic on the western itinerary! My mother (who will be 87 this Nov.) decided that she wanted to take one more Disney cruise (I took her on a 4-night years ago) and had better do it while she is able. She insisted on the western because she has never been to Key West and wants to see Grand Cayman again, so she had me book it today and we are my usual Cat. 7, deck 7.

I took a look at the thread for that sailing and it is only 6 pages so far and very few cruisers. I will post over there, but since my mom will be sailing with me, I won't get involved with doing a website or anything. That's exclusively for our Cruisin' Nuts!

I hope all our Cruisin' Nuts are having a great weekend!

Tomorrow morning I have to go renew my passport. I'm going to pay the extra fee to expedite so I'll have it in plenty of time for the Jan. cruise with my mom. I hate having to get a new photo. I've been happy with the ones on all my previous passports, but this time will likely settle for a quick digital one at the local post office that has a passport processing center. I hope I won't regret it, since I'll be stuck with it for 10 years! Eeeek!

Wish I was going on a Cruise earlier but I will settle for the parks:) Hope you have a great time planning and enjoying the trip!!

Hey Jenngoofys, we'll be there right before you. Staying at Fort Wilderness this year. :) We are planning to attend Chip & Dale's campfire sing a long. Can't wait. My twin DDs loved meeting twin chipmunks last year.

Last year was our first trip to WDW. We actually met Shari & Holly. However, I'm not sure we were at our best - as we were extremely overwhelmed by it all. I am hoping we are better prepared this time around. :)

Jenngoofys - Thanks for the well wishes! I won't be doing much planning for that Jan. cruise though. My packing list will be exactly as on my last cruise (minus Pal Mickey & his wardrobe - LOL) and this will mainly be just a chance for my mom and I to get away and relax. My only "planning" involved getting new passport pics made today and sending off my passport renewal app. Having had 3 previous passports with photos I would not hesitate to show anyone, this time (digital at the post office instead of a portrait at a studio) I want to hide it like my driver's license! Problem with this one is that I actually look my age - Yikes!

dato63 - Holly & I were thrilled to meet you guys on your first WDW visit, and we thought you looked fine! It was understandable that the girls were a tad shy when confronted by us - heh-heh. Maybe I'll run into you this time as well. I know you all will have an even better time than last year and will be more comfortable knowing your way around more.

Shari-- awesome!! I wish we were going sooner. :( but we did just book 4 days at Disney for Nov 20th. they offered free dining, and with 5 of us...that is a great deal!! We have Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace and Le Cellier booked. We have never been to le Cellier so we are excited about that one.
and we are doing the Christmas party at MK on Friday night... .we have always done the Halloween party... love that one!! :)

Just moved my fish extender out in place sight! seeing that always makes me smile!!

Taswira,

I hope your passport picture came out well! I can't wait until I can book the Contemporary for our stay after the cruise! I saw that I can book the Radisson now for the night before -- will have to do that soon too! It's starting to come together!

Does anyone here plan to do Karaoke on our cruise? On every cruise I've intended to but never did. It always seemed a bit hectic with everyone looking at the song list (usually without much light), selecting a song and getting on the list to perform. So I never managed it. I'm sure I won't when my mom is with me, but am halfway considering it for this cruise. If not, I'll be there to support any of you who do! :)

I wish they had their song list online somewhere. That would make it easy to choose in advance, and practice - lol. Oh, well . . . .

I love to watch Karaoke!! DH and I don't get out much, so it's been a while since I've had the joy of watching someone. I can't sing though - seriously can't sing like a bad American Idol audition. . .that'd be me. :) I will happily smile & clap for others.

I looked at the Navigators someone posted, to see what activities kids have - I should have looked at adult ones too. :) How fun!!

Magic3forme - what night did you get the MVMCP tickets for? We are going on 11/20th. :) I can't wait. I booked CRT for a late lunch prior to the party. My DDs found eating at the castle very magical. . . . We head home on 11/21st.

Dato63--- We are going on 11/20 also. :) that is our first day of our trip. I think we might have Crystal Palace that day... we like to do a big lunch on the special days and then a counter service for dinner.
We are staying at the Port Orleans.. Riverside.. I think?? if it is chilly out... look for the group with 5 Steelers jerseys on.

That is our family picture on the cruise too... we are normally very easy to spot!!

Shari & Holly picked us out at Epcot due to our DDs. We have identical twin girls - and they recognized the curly hair. It was odd as we were leaving (tired) and hear "Is that Madison and Makayla?" And I'm sure our expressions were priceless as who in this big place would know our DDs?

We hit WDW on 11/14th. We are staying at Fort Wilderness this year.

I'll keep an eye out for steeler jerseys. :) Our DDs will be dressed as Cinderella for MVMCP - as we are doing BBB and CRT before it starts.

Dato63--- dont laugh.. but what are BBB and CRT? lol. I know I should know this ... but it is not ringing a bell!! :)

LOL - In case she isn't online to answer you right now: I believe BBB is Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo (not sure of spelling!) - the princess makeover for little girls. CRT is Cinderella's Royal Table restaurant. :goodvibes

thanks Shari!!!

we are past the "princess stage" ... so no wonder it didnt ring a bell. :rotfl:

I got Le Cellier!!!!

CRT for Thanksgiving breakfast
Liberty Tree Tavern For Thanksgiving Dinner
Crystal Palace for dinner
and Sci Fi for lunch

Once I got the major ressies
I couldnt get Chef Mickey's in the mix so had to sacrifice that one

Doing MVMCP on the 29th

Dato63 - sorry we will miss you when are you there? We are the 24th - 30th.

Taswira - you are welcome. as far as your photo i bet you will have no issue showing it to board the ship LOL

Karaoke, nope youd all jump ship LOL

Magic3forme - you leave the day we arrive sorry we will miss you too.

Our internet/cable provided died last night.

I'm sorry - I've been on disboard so long I do abbreviate now. My husband is always giving me odd looks.

Like Shari said on the BBB & CRT. We did them last year for our DDs 5th birthday, and they have begged to go back. We are very much in the princess phase around here.

Jenngoofys - We are there before you are. From 11/14th - 11/21st. And, by the way, I'm jealous about you getting Sci-Fi. I had wanted to try that. It looks so unique & cool. But our DDs are not very brave - I recently took them to a theater and they cried the whole time. So in the interest of tear prevention I decided we'll have to wait a few years to try it. On our DHS day we are going to try the 50s Prime Time Cafe this year.

We were bummed to find out they are only doing Fantasmic on Sunday only. no other nights while we are there. that is our favorite show. We deciced we are going to skip it this year and not go near Hollywood Studios that day.

Chef mickeys is a must for us. :) last year on our anniversary they gave us champagne and cupcakes. :) The Contemp is my favorite resort to just walk around.

We still need one more place to eat. Hollywood studios is the park where we dont have a sit down yet. I am not a huge fan of Hollywood and Vine, and Mama Melrose is Italian (I have a food allergy to cheese).
I am most excited about Le Cellier. :)

speaking of food.... is everyone doing Palo for dinner on the cruise? or brunch? we didnt do brunch this last night and I wish we would have. I am going to book the REAS package this time and be able to book 105 days in advance!! and I want the robes!!
