Hi there, we just booked yesterday. Our family includes:

Me DW
DH and our DS who will 12 by the time we set sail
This will be our 3rd cruise, we will be in room 6628, we had this room for our first cuise and loved. We cruised last October and got a cat 3 since my dad went with us.
Yes, we would love to do the FE, we had a blast doing them before.

Hello Beach Party of 3- we met you on the cruise in October, you probably know us by GolfnPirate who is my husband. Hello Mike, talked with you one night up on deck during the World Series, I was the nurse from MD.

Cant wait to talk with everyone and meet you!!

Welcome!

I was in room 6630 on the Wonder last December, I loved that area too!

About 619 days left!

Welcome to all the new Cruisers!!!

I haven't fallen off the face of the planet I ended up booking on Friday the 13th a ticket to fly to Indianapolis on Sunday the 15th to go visit a great friend in Frankton, IN. Stayed 7 nights and Flew home Sunday the 22nd. I had a great time, learned I am NOT a Country girl and need my city life LOL!

We cancelled our Grand Floridian Stay over my Birthday because we need new furniture and well we wanted to hit Sanibel Island this year instead!!! So End of June over July 4th we will be spending the holiday on Sanibel Island.

Then we will stay at All Star Music over Labor Day *IF* they do Free Dining. But thats flexible.

We are getting things together for our cruises though got a few new things to wear for pirate nights. (since we are doing a back to back, need slightly different things just in case LOL)

I have to renew my Passport by March 2010 so that will be my first priority in 2010 is to get that done! I can't believe its been 10 years since I got it and that means June 2010 is 10 years since I graduated High School YIKES!!!! I feel Old.

I hope everyone is doing well....Trying to be more active now!

Hi all fellow cruisers, has anyone done the Eastern before? We are thinking of doing the walking tour of St Thomas and the island tour of St Maarten. Were they worth it? I want to make sure that i save time to shop.

We had 6628 on our first Cruise in 2006 (also an Eastern) and loved it too! We are in a different room more midship this cruise but how neat that a Dis'er will be in our old room :)

I am headed to Atlanta to house hunt this weekend. My mom is coming into town to watch the kids. My mom is fostering 8 day old kittens, so the kids are excited to see them. and my mom spoils them rotten for the weekend. :)

Good Luck with the house hunting!!! I hope you find something that is perfect for your family!!

We booked a 4 night trip to WDW over Labor Day and were lucky to get the Free Dining offer applied so we will have an "almost end" of summer trip to look forward to LOL.

Awesome for the free dining!! Hope you get some great places to eat.

We had some success in Atl and of course we come home and hear of a bunch of other subdivisions we should have gone to.

I have John jr home sick yet again... his kindergarten class needs to learn they dont have to share everything!! germs can be left at home. :lmao:

Hey all - I don't have time to say much right now. We are driving down to Las Vegas EARLY tomorrow morning (from Idaho) and I might not go online while down there. So this Saturday may be my next time on the thread. Any cruiser adds will be made on the site at that time. Meanwhile, I received this notice in an email for Disney Travel Agents. I imagine it's already on the DIS somewhere, but just in case, here it is.

"Disney Cruise Line® has announced plans to reposition the Disney Wonder® Cruise Ship from its base in Port Canaveral, Fla., to the West Coast in 2011.

A two-year agreement, with a three-year extension option, will be considered by the Port of Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners on April 2, 2009.

With the port’s proximity to the Disneyland® Resort, you’ll be able to offer Clients even more magical Disney vacation choices – both on land and sea!

The addition of a new homeport for Disney Cruise Line is part of the overall expansion plan for The Walt Disney Company. Two new ships, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, will arrive in Port Canaveral, Fla., in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

We are looking forward to returning to the Port of Los Angeles and offering our special brand of family cruises on the West Coast,” said Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Jay Rasulo. “Having a Disney Cruise Line ship based in this region is something families on the West Coast have wanted for a long time, and we’re pleased to bring the Disney Wonder to Southern California in 2011."

Disney Cruise Line successfully tested the West Coast market with two summer seasons of Mexican Riviera cruises in 2005 and 2008. Disney Cruise Line has not yet announced the details of its itineraries for 2011.

Known for establishing family travel in the cruise market, Disney Cruise Line continues to be a leader in the industry. The Disney Wonder was recently named the top large cruise ship experience by readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine in the 9th annual “Reader’s Cruise Poll.”

The Disney Magic Cruise Ship, which was also ranked in the top five cruise experiences in the poll, will embark on a season of limited itineraries exploring Northern Europe and the Mediterranean in 2010."

Talk to you guys this weekend! :)

Yes, I saw that elsewhere on the DIS. I would really like to be able to do a repo, and what better way than on the ship I enjoyed my first cruise on!

We would also love to do a repo. I read somewhere that it could be Christmas/New Year which I would not like. I would not want to be away form my adult children for the holidays.

Hey all sorry started my new job at WDW on Tuesday and I am having a blast so far. Can't say much other then Keys to the Kingdom tour is pretty much the Orientation for CM's so if you want a hint of Backstage "magic" then that is the tour you should take.

Other then that my lips are sealed.

Mom and I heard about the news about the Wonder and have decided that if they anounce a Repo Cruise with the Wonder before our Sailing Dates for the B2B that we will swap that for the 2 cruises. But until the news comes out for dates etc we won't be making any decisions.

I would love to go on a repo!

I just can't wait for even this cruise. I've already planned part out:

Arrive day before, stay at Radisson @ the port
Start cruise
Return from cruise
Take transport to Contemporary Resort (never stayed there before!)
Spend a couple days at WDW
Go home :(

Anyone else already thinking this far? (I wouldn't be surprised)

Uh-oh . . Sorry to hear that then as I guess it's likely you won't be sailing with the Cruisin' Nuts, huh? For me, this one is very special and I would not swap it for anything, but that's because I'm such a Chip 'n' Dale addict.

I am disappointed that San Diego lost its bid, but maybe someday . . . ;)

I made it back from Las Vegas late last night and am playing catch-up . Have LOTS of photos to edit for my DH before I head back to FL on Tuesday and face 5 weeks worth of "snail mail" to sort through. Ugh!

We have all ready thought about the night before etc too. the past 2 cruises we have done the Mickeys Halloween party the night before. ( not getting in until 1am). :) then driving to the port in the am.

we are going to be driving this time not flying, since we live closer, so that will save us a ton of money. and a lot less stress of missing a flight etc etc. I want to stay out by the port this time. (not sure where though).

the Contemp is my favorite resort!! We go to Chef Mickeys every big trip. We rode the monorail the one time just in a big circle.

:goodvibes That's so great that you'll be able to drive instead of flying. I used to love flying anywhere, but nowadays commercial air travel is more of a necessary evil for me instead of a pleasure and . . oh yeah . . usually entails some sort of stress even on a "good" day. :rolleyes1

LivingtheWDWdream - I'm glad you like your new job so far! Where at WDW will you be working? I'd love to stop by to say hello sometime.

I used to fly for a living when I was working a contract. Fly out Monday, work out a week, sometimes traveling while out, then fly back home Friday. One time I flew home from a different airport.

I did get to see some interesting places. Louisville, KY; Central Ohio; Bowling Green, KY; Pittsburgh, PA and drove through the Adirondacks to some place in WV; Peoria, IL; Danville, IL.

I don't want to repeat that for too long.

dh John flies out every week for work. and about every 6 weeks or so he flies to Poland, France, Germany and China. He has to go to Japan in May. (I just love the free hotel points and airfare... that will be our family vacation in Dec.. we are hoping for Hawaii).

we are off to Vegas in the morning. (first time ever going.)
have a great week!!
