11th Nov - Worried Now

I've seen some posts saying that the crowds will be horrendous this week, really worried now as we've booked from the 10-14th Nov and there is no way of changing it.

I s'pose we will just get on with it, and make use of EMH. Also gutted as Buzz ride is closed - is that a definite? I know its listed as closed but wondered whether anyone has been before and expected a ride to be closed and it wasn't - just trying to remain hopeful!

Thanks,
Marie

It will be busy but if you make full use of EMH and get all the big rides done early in the day before the day visitors arrive you should be OK. Another tip is to do Fantasyland again in the evening if you don't mind missing Dreams! one night, as some of the rides are still open when Dreams! is being shown.

It is very rare that this happens :sad1:

I would just go with the mindset that it will be closed and if it isn't then it will be a bonus!

You might also have the added bonus of Star Tours being open for EMH to compensate for Buzz being shut!

Never realised that - I thought the whole of Fantasyland shut early for Dreams. Which ones stay open? I would guess it would be those nearest Adventureland like Dumbo and Peter Pan?

I too thought Fantasyland shuts whilst dreams is on

November 11th is a holiday in Belgium, but I doubt the entire country will be at DLRP, hehe.

It's so hard to say how busy it can be, it really depends.
I've heard last year July 14th was crazy, and this year it was really calm (French national holiday).

Peter Pan and It's a Small World stay open and just before Dreams! starts they close the Tea Cups ride.

Are you sure?? The whole of Fantasyland and Adventure Land are shut because of the pyrotechnics and health and safety guidelines, usually an hour before Dreams. We got moved on from both in recent trip as they rope off the areas and have CM's monitoring them. There are huge sandwich boards stating this throughout Fantasyland prewarning you it closes early.

Its a huge French holiday though, and it does seem the world and his wife are there and gets extremely packed to the point of NYE crowds.
But the days leading up to it are usually very quiet, unless there is a weekend either side of it as a lot of French guest will taken extended holiday. One year my group almost had the park to ourselves, then the next day we couldn't believe the crowds!

@Lisa we have definately been on PoTC ride just before Dreams starts -which is of course in Adventure Land - all seems very random lol

Fantasyland definitely closed early for Dreams in July.
To the OP I Was concerned when I read reports of 14th july crowds, just prepare yourself, EMH and then maybe go and watch the shows in wds, stunt. Show, tram tour, animagique, cinemagique, theres lots of high capacity attractions in the studios :)
