If you are on the BCV Tree lists, you should expect an e-mail by Wednesday evening. Looking forward to the tree exchange!
I will have some general info on exchanging later today.
So, BLT sign up has ended, and tree #2 is headed to WDW this week. However, I do not have "real names" from all of the people interested in sharing the tree. They, so far, have not responded to PM's. In some cases, the people have not been on the boards for a while, so they probably haven't seen the PM. Do I take them off the list? I know people's plans change, but I hate to have people miss out when they thought they had signed up. On the other hand, if the person at the end of the exchange isn't coming, the tree wouldn't get returned to the donor. Any good ideas on how to handle this? Thanks!
I just need info from 1 more person. Unfortunately, they are last on tree #2. Ack! What to do?![]()

Sarah,
I just realized that I am waiting to hear from the same person, since they have the BCV Tree #1 reserved for earlier in their trip. I will let you know if I hear something...
Lisa
Thank you!
I am going to follow Bobbi's suggestion for now. The donor will be at WDW this week, so the tree will get dropped off then. I will contact the next to last person if I hear something.![]()
I've heard from everyone now. Let the sharing begin!![]()
This is some info about exchanging at resorts with a business center: (Thank you, MrShiny!)
The package will initially be at the business center, although they will have it brought to your room. The last family also will send it out via the business center.
In between, Bell Services will hold it (assuming more than two families sharing the tree).
There is a fee in and out for shipping if there is a Business Center. I think most reported around $5 in addition to shipping cost (so even if prepaid). Of course you could always drop it off at a Post Office/UPS/FedEx yourself if you have time/transportation:
IKON Office Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of document management systems and services, now operates the Walt Disney World Business Centers located in convention centers at Disney's BoardWalk Resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Yacht Club Resort, providing consistent services and pricing throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
Designed to serve as Guests' "office away from home," the centers provide document services, office-equipment rental, large document reproduction, offset printing, bindery services and more.
Particularly popular among business and leisure travelers alike are Guest Parcel Services, in which Guests pay a handling fee to have their personal packages shipped to and from their resort. Handling fees (charged in addition to shipping/postage fees) range from $3-$10 depending on weight and as much as $70 for a 100-pound pallet.
Disney-owned-and-operated resort hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, without IKON-operated Business Centers (non-convention resort hotels) also offer the package-delivery services and now charge the same handling fees for departing packages, which ensures consistency.
Actually, I was thinking about continuing our thread, for VGF, because we have already booked for December 2014.
