When you want to make a reservation 11 months out - do they go buy calendar day of the first day of reservation? For example, for a vacation that starts April 30, when can the reservation be made - March 30?

It goes by the check-out date. If you want to stay April 20 to 30, you could call for the entire reservation on May 30. If you wanted to do a day by day reservation (only necessary for hard to get reservations), you would call for April 20 on May 21 (the night of April 20 would check-out on April 21), then April 21 on May 22, etc.

For a vacation that ends on April 30 (your last night being the 29th), you would be able to call on May 30, not in March. It is the day of check out that is used for the reservation.
