Okay, from what I understand I can book a vacation as far as 11 months in advance at my home resort. I have 200 points at the Beach Club Villas and more points for other resorts. I want to book BCV for the first week of January next year which will be 270 points. Can I book this 11 months in advance since I only have 200 BCV points and will need 270? Thanks!

i believe you can only book as many days as your 200 points will get you at the 11 month window. To book the remaining 70 points they will have to be from banked points or borrowed from the following year. Otherwise you have to wait until the 7 month window to book the remaining days using points from another resort.

Depends. You can use your home resort points 11 months in advance and if you have points you can borrow you can borrow the other needed ones from your next use year.

You can not use the other points form other home resorts until 7 months.

So it depends on how many points you have currently and how many you have you can borrow from.

IF you don't want to borrow, you have several choices. The best one is likely to book as many days as possible then use your other points at the 7 month window. I'd book the weeknights now and leave the ones you don't get now as weekends which tend to be much easier. Then call day one and day by day to get any nights you need at the 7 month window.

This is probably the best advice, because in the wrost case scenario, you could always book a regular resort for the weekend, and then move to the DVC resort on moderate for the remainder of the trip. We do that a lot and it is great, Disney will transfer your luggage for you from one resort to the other, so it's not a huge deal.

Since the amount of points needed for weekend nights is so entirely ridiculous I am actually thinking about staying at the Poly Friday and Saturday night on a cash reservation and then Sunday-Thursday at the BCV. Thanks for all the help!
