My daughter took her 11+ exams monday/tuesday as she wants to go to Grammar school. So a while ago I search the net for sites to help her and I found this :

http://www.bbc.co.uk/apps/ifl/northernireland/gigaquiz?path=11plus&infile=11plus

There are 75 questions, which some are quite tricky :upsidedow She managed to score 55 on this test and I scored 66. Have a go if you have a spare bit of time and let us know how you got on :)

I got 61 - bit disappointed I didn't do any better. Plus, you can't find out which ones you got wrong.

71 but as Joh said it would be interesting to see which ones you got wrong :)

Alan - you are obviously well edukated! I just prove they let anyone into Uni these days ;)

62.2! Phew, that was hard, thanks for posting,

Claire xx

Thanks guys :) I was a bit surprised myself as I have to confess to guessing the odd one towards the end ;)

Sadly at my age it's a bit late to be passing the 11+ :rotfl:

63 for me, :crazy2:

Could have done better!! See me!! As my old teacher would have written in big red writing :rotfl2:

Sue :)

56 good grief that's hard! I went to Grammar School and we had a full day of exams to get in, they were horrible. Best of luck to your daughter!

Thanks Queenie :)

Now you do three exams over 2 days which is nice and spread out :) She wasn't very happy with the English exam, apparently it was very hard :)

68 (69.2) for me - I bet it was the verbs, adverbs and nouns that got me.

I remember the 11+, I took it twice - once when I was 10 (passed, but they said I was too young to go to grammar, birthday in May) and again at 11 (passed again and got into grammar) - this was in Shrewsbury when state grammars were still around. A good job I didn't fail it on the second take!!!

I got 69 which is 90%

I'm going to get DS to do it later - he has an entrance exam on Saturday and another in a fortnight.

I managed 62.6, can`t imagine doing that at 11 though!!! I think the maths got me.

72 - but I did go to a Grammar School myself (more years ago than I'd like to admit!)

I'd like to know where I went wrong - but I think it may have been with the poems - they were a bit wierd.
