Well, I am new to disboards and very happy to have found fellow cruisers. I will be going with 3yr DD and my parents, we have adjoining staterooms. I live fairly close and definitley would be up for a meet up and would LOVE to participate in the FE, if someone can explain it to me

Can't wait, I am already working on magnets...think I am more excited than my 3yr old
Welcome to the DIS!!!!!!
I live in Orlando, its torture knowing I could be at the port in 45 minutes but they won't let me on the ship!

Trust me I asked if they felt giving the last time to let a homesick
DCL lover on the ship for free and well their reaction was more like this ...

So I guess I'll have to wait until November

seems so far yet so close.
Fish Extender Exchanges- If you want to participate just send me a PM with your stateroom, how many adults/children so I can add you to the list.
What you do, its a personal decision as to what you give and a surprise as to what you get in return. You hang on your Fish on the outside of your room, either a Fish Extender Pocket banner or a bag, or something to have your gifts put into. There is a DIS'er who sells them on Ebay but I made mine it was pretty easy but if you aren't crafty or don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I saw people using everything from reusable bags that you use from grocery shops or gift bags.
Then once it gets closer to the cruise and we have an idea of how many will actually participate and after final payment dates so we know most won't be canceling I will send everyone a copy of the spreadsheet which will tell you what staterooms are participating, number of kids/adults so you can make sure you have enough gifts.
I put adults/kids on the spreadsheet as on past cruises some people liked to put 1 item for adults, 1 for kids, so want to make sure if someone chooses to do that they are able to plan.
On our last cruise we did 2 gifts per room, the first was an inflatable beach ball with a snowman on the inside, and a holiday themed rubber duck it was close to the holidays so it fit the time of year perfectly. Nothing was overly expensive this is just meant to be a fun way to interact with fellow cruisers.
One DIS'er in the gift shop got non paper magnetic post cards and wrote a nice little message to each cruiser and did a small goody bag with stickers, and notepads all disney themed.
So it can be Disney Related, cruise related, not related to anything disney or cruises, its up to your imagination.
Then you can deliver your gifts at your leisure whenever you feel up to it. The only night I would recommend not doing is the last night of the cruise, maybe early in the day as later everyone is busy busy getting ready for dinner packing etc but its all up to your preference.
I hope I explained it right/enough
