11-7-10 Wonder cruise meet

You all crack me up!! :lmao::lmao:

Was it me calling like everyday just to hear someone say Thank you for calling Disney Cruise Line how can I make some magic for you today? LOL or the fact that I find random things to ask about just to call? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

obviously school:teacher: is NOT helping me keep my anticipation in check :sad2:

Or is it us?

When DH goes (in his best 3 year old voice) "why can't we sneak in one more cruise?" and I'm gulible enough to say ok? LOL:lmao:

12 more days...12 more days...we only have 12 more days!!! The anticipation is not helping me focus on school 1 bit though LOL.....its only school right LOL.....

Anyone planning to rebook for another cruise while onboard?

We are hoping to book a 7 night on the Fantasy the sailing after my 30th Birthday in May :) Its a repeat itinerary for us but it will give us 3 whole sea days to explore the ship, plus we will only be getting off the ship to do some shopping so most likely have half a day of exploring it as well on port days!

Whoooohooooooooooo! LOL

We went on this cruise last November too and hadn't planned on another so soon as this but when we added points on to our DVC we got this cruise for free. What kind of specials should/would we expect if we were to re-book?

Well since they changed the deposit to 20% down, onboard they are only requiring you put 10% down as a deposit, you also get 10% off and based on your CC level you get an OBC.

We want to book the May 19th 7 night and 20% would end up being $600+ for a deposit if we book now on land. If we wait until we are on board its only $300 if not less since we will get 10% off the price which if I calculated it correctly would bring it down to under $3K for a verandah. So the deposit may just be under $300. Plus we get an Onboard credit from DCL, and I will email my confirmation to my TA whose agency is giving an additional OBC until 11/9 so if I email her on the 8th I get that OBC as well!!

Plus if our plans change we can change the date of the cruise and still have the 10% discount applied but would have to pay the difference of deposit if the cost of the cruise is higher then what we had booked. (still only 10% though) When you pay in full that is when the other 10% would be paid.

Already in my pre cruise excitement...cant sleep at night !! You would think I would have long out grown this :)..We leave Wed for the Nov 4 cruise..then continue on with this cruise. Very thrilled to be back on Disney after 4 years of Carnival...( which we enjoyed alot). We will stop by and say hi.

So we have been planning this cruise for 2 years now, and so we have had plenty of time to think of what to bring what we need etc.. but now that it is getting down to "last minute" I keep thinking I am forgetting something..

So I wanted to ask others what they are packing that is not your normal every day stuff like clothing, fish extender stuff etc.

Example: we decided to bring a few "GLOW" things for the kids at night so we didn't have to buy it there...

We bring an over the door shoe rack so that we can put all our bathroom necessities in it and free up the counter space. We also bring a power strip to plug all our chargers in since we have 3 alone just for the cameras, plus the laptop, cellphone and other items that need a plug. Since there is very few outlets in the stateroom.

We found at walmart a cheap basic alarm clock that is no bigger then a deck of cards it lights up so we can use it for the alarm as well as a night light.

Traveling with 2 DS's and a DH I am bringing a small air freshener this time, sunblock is a must, since I need to drink bottled water I am bringing some of those single serve powders that you add to them. Call me crazy but I also bring a great beach read to sit on deck and read....:dance3:

Had to go back to Orlando Prime Outlets to exchange my mom's new shoes for the next size so 1 less thing to do but we have so much to do and so little time to do it.

Oh and the *fix* before the cruise where something always needs repair, replacing, or something similar...my car's battery to the tune of $150 stupid ford's and their expensive repairs. Saturday it goes in we are fingers crossed that it lasts that long. eek!

I printed out a sign for my mom's ecv that we rented for the cruise so that noone tries to drive off with it!

I have to work on her Halloween outfit for her WORK tonight, as well as her Halloween treats (mini carmel apples) but I should be working on the last part of the FE gifts I have which is what I can't do onboard because I need scissors and well I doubt those will make it onboard! I'll have to work on the last of the FE stuff Sunday.

Saturday we are doing our Pre-Cruise Pampering pedicure's and manicures for both of us. Buy 1 get 1 free :D Love new spa specials!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and we are sooooooo excited and sooooooo Ready for the cruise!

Funny you mention the pedi's Amy....I'm sitting here looking at my toes and they need some help! Hoping to get there next week myself.

Where are you going for your pedis Amy? I believe we're not far from you and I could use one too!

My husband and I just booked this cruise! We've done a few cruises with DCL so we're excited to be back onboard! :goodvibes

Thanks so much! We're pretty excited! A friend of ours has also booked a cabin, so we're all looking forward to it. I will definitely try to stop by the meet too :goodvibes

Lori- Its a new spa called Aisha Day Spa I believe its over in Hunter's Creek near Publix off John Young and Town Center Blvd.

They had a giant sign out a few weeks ago stating get a pedicure and they will give you a manicure for free. On the website it said new clients get 10% off so either way we will save money.

As far as the hurricane goes, I think it may pass before we sail, but if not DCL is good at steering away from bad weather. My parents sailed during a hurricane once and they had a few port changes, but ended up with excellent weather the entire trip :goodvibes
