WE ARE LOOKING INTO AIR FARES. WE FOUND A GREAT RATE, BUT THE FLIGHT LEAVES AT 11:30AM. COULD WE MAKE THE FLIGHT? WE WILL BE USING HAPPY LIMO FOR TRANSPORTATION.

THANKS FOR YOU HELP

I think you should be able to, but make sure you are one of the first off of the ship. We used HL before and easily made it in time to have caught that early a flight. If it isnt much more you may want to try a later flight just in case something comes up. Maybe some more will respond, but if you leave the ship by 830, get in the Limo by 845, you should be at MCO by 945 which should allow plenty of time for security checks.

Edit: since they stay on top of things concerning flights, you may want to ask Happy Limo what the earliest flight they would recommend and go by that. They know how fast they can get you there and how long security is taking now.

I wouldnt be tempted! We saw people running from their flights at 3.30pm to get the Disney Bus to CC. Besides, you miss all the fun of the ship's terminal! Get there early, or fly in the previous night, like we did!:Pinkbounc Nat

Yes, you can make it. I once made a 9:30 flight. We were booked later, but got there and they put us on the early one!

Disembarkation normally starts about 7:30. It takes an hour or less (really 45 min) to get to the airport. Customs is a 5 minute deal.....Seriously, we were at the airport by 9:00 using DCL transportationl

We did have one cruise where disembarkation didn't start till 9 (don't know what the problem was), but still, 11:30 flight would have worked.

If you are concerned and have late seating, go to the buffet breakfast early, so you can get off at 7:30ish. Tell Happy to pick you up about 8. You really would have time even if you went to late seating breakfast (at 8) and got off by 9. 9:00 is supposed to be the "all ashore" time...everyone off ship by then.

WHERE ARE YOU FLYING OUT OF ?
WE FLY OUT OF PHILADELPHIA AND OUR FLIGHT TIME
TO ORLANDO IS 2HR AND 15 MIN. YOU WILL NEED AT LEAST
1 HOUR TO GET OF THE PLANE WALK THREW THE AIRPORT AND
GET YOU LUGGAGE. FROM THE AIRPORT THE FASTEST I HAVE EVER DONE IT TO PORT CANAVERAL WAS 45 MINS AND THAT WAS ON A SATURDAY DOING 65-70 MPH AND DISNEY WANTS YOU ON BOARD BEFOR 4 PM
SO IF YOU ARE FLYING OUT OF HARRISBURG AIRPORT AN 11:30 AM FLIGHT IS TO LATE TALE SOMETHING EARLIER DONT RISK
MISS YOU CRUISE TO SAVE A COUPLE OF BUCKS
CALL THE AIRLINE AND SEE IF THEY WILL RELEASE SOME CHEAPER SEATS ON AN EARLIER FLIGHT LIKE 9 AM GOOD LUCK :chat:

You might, but it would make me nervous. We had an 11:30 flight (non-stop) from Raleigh a couple of years ago (pre-9/11) and we made it (we used Disney transport to the terminal) but I'll tell you, I had stomach cramps the whole time, I was so nervous. The bus driver told us that we were about the last people coming to the boat. Everything had to go exactly right. If we had encountered a delay anywhere, I don't think we would have made it. We got to the check in desk about 3:00 and on the boat by 3:30. With today's security measures and everything taking longer at both the airports and the terminal, I'm not sure I'd chance it plus, if you're in PA, you have a little more distance to cover than we did from Raleigh. And I don't know anything about Happy Limo and their reliability. It's up to you, but I know I'll never cut it that close again.

I assume that you are wondering about the end of the cruise and the flight going back home. You could do it theoretically. If you don't go to your regular server for breakfast you can also eat quickly at topsiders. One word of warning on 1-10-04 the line to be screened for security was very long at the Orlando airport. We waited at least 30 minutes to be screened. Our flight out was at 12:45 and we went to second breakfast and had no problem making this flight at all...

I THINK the poster is referring to flying home. Catching a flight on the way home from the cruise.

Is that right?

Am guessing you meant LEAVING the ship? Well, it would be touch and go!..............There could be a problem with disembarkation, and you would then miss your flight.:Pinkbounc Nat

We had no problems catching our 11:45 flight home; in fact, if we wouldn't have stopped for a snack we could have made the 10:30 flight. The important part is that you have a limo/towncar so you don't have to worry about getting on one of the buses.

We ate breakfast at Parrot Cay the last morning, took our time getting off the ship and were in the limo heading back to MCO by 8:30am! We didn't rush at all! You should be fine but do what you are comfortable with. Good luck!!

I'd take the great rate!! Our group had breakfast, were off the ship by 8:30, met our driver and were at the airport by 9:30, twiddled our thumbs for 2 hrs. till our 11:30 SW flight. Provided everything goes smoothly, you'll be fine. Enjoy your trip!!
:goodvibes

We made an 11:50am flight last month -- even after the ship was an hour late returning and clearing at Port Canaveral.

We also used Happy Limo and were very very happy with their service.

GOOD LUCK!

In the past we had no trouble with an 1125 USAir flight. Although we booked air on our own we were still able to check our luggage, and get our boarding passes at the USAir desk at the port. A towncar dropped us off at MCO. By the time we arrived at our gate is was 1010.

I can give you the odds in 35 cruises...out of all of those, we have only had two significant embarkation delays. One was due to a change in the terrorist alert level, and the other one was because someone mistakenly took our luggage. Disney would not take a report until literally everyone else had claimed theirs (I guess they were hoping it would show up).
Other than that, things have gone smoothly. We use Happy Limo, too, and we've made a couple of 11:30 a.m. flights. We live in Chicago, so we know that if we miss a flight, there will be more that we can fly standby on.
