I have never used the cruiseline air option. If you can swing it, your best bet is to fly down on the 29th, stay overnight in Florida and then head to the ship. The cruiselines will give you the crappiest flights most often. There should not be a connection out of Pittsburgh. This then lets you choose your own flight home at a better time.

Thanks for the info. Because of all the great info on these threads I was able to book air, room and ground at a significant savings over what DCL package was. I don't think I could have done it without all the info that is available here.

Just wondering if anyone is doing the "fish extender" thing for this cruise? It looks like a fun idea, but I don't want to do it if no one else in our group is doing it...anyone?

I too would like to do the FE. I was reading another thread and it does sound like fun.

I'd do the fish extenders if we get several people interested. I'm not sure what I would leave as little gifts though - I didn't get that far on the fish extender thread.

Great! That's three cabins so far! I'm in if you guys are! I have been reading the FE threads too...looks like people put little candies, pencils, postcards, etc...stuff like that. Looks like the Dollar Stores are the best place to get little things! Can't wait to do this!

wow havent been on forever. i would like to do the FE thing. i have to ask my dad (disneyfun1) and see. hopefully i will be able to talk to him to do it.

looking forward to WDW and DLC. now in school im learning German so when we go to Epcot i can talk to the people from Germany in German and my dad stepmom 2 stepsisters or brother will know what i am saying

Hello all...
Just to introduce ourselves as fellow sailors on the wonder nov 30. Will be me (heather 35), my DH (kevin 35), DS (cameron 7) and DD (jenna will be 1 month shy of 5th b-day). Also with our MIL (both of them) and FIL

Will be the ILs 1st disney cruise and our kids 1st ever cruise (DS was too young to remember). We'll be doing thanksgiving in FL then a few days in WDW parks after the cruise. Can't wait!!

DS is very excited about the oceaneer thing and would like to meet some friends ahead of time. I also think the FE is a fun idea - count us in. If I can't find 1 on ebay maybe i'll dust off the sewing machine

BTW I see some folks are celebrating b-days and anniv, etc. We will be celebrating DD - she will be cancer surivor x 1 year in Dec. (diagnosed 12/13/07 and doing great!! ) Does anyone know of something we could do to celebrate her (and DS - the greatest big brother ever )

There's a picture of the FE that my DH made on Page 9. I don't think it was too hard to put together. It is backed with denim and has 3 different Disney fabrics which we bought at Joanne's fabrics. We also got the decals & letters at Joanne's.

I can't wait to meet everybody.

I think that people have met in the past before on ship but I don't know if anyone is willing to get it together...I've never been on a DIS Cruise before so I'm not really sure how that would work...if anyone is interested in getting a cruise meet together, or can tell me how to get one together, please let us know...Hal001-I'll send you a PM with my DS's e-mail...

cool... now how did u do that! Disney told me we had to wait till sept 1 but they were nice enough to give DD a castawy club # even tho she hasn't ever sailed b4. did u book online or by phone? which is the best way to be able to get what u want? i've heard some reservations go fast.
