11/ 30 / 2008 / Where's my peeps?

I'm in for the fish thing but mine will look terrible. I thinhk it'll be stockings or something. I'm not creative in any way, shape or form.

Regarding a meeting, I think my kids would like to meet some kids their own age (9 and 4). But I don't think the terminal is a great idea. I don't want to wait in the terminal. I want to get on board!

i'll be racing you to the computer Sept 1 for that dolphin encounter. Are you doing morning or afternoon? we plan on morning so perhaps we'll be on together.

tlens, I will add you to the list of "FE" participants...are you in cabin 6062? I saw it posted on page 1 of the board, but it's for tiens, not tlens...is that you?

tlens, I will hopefully be doing the AM. I have a dd that will be almost 10 when we sail so it would be great to meet on the boat somewhere when we board and let the kids meet.

uh oh...I think we might be even more competition for the am dolphin encounter  DS is very excited about seeing the dolphins (I don't think DD really understands what it is but she LOVED feeding and touching the dolphins at seaworld in San Diego last march so we know she'll have fun).

tlens, my DS will be a few months shy of 8 and DD almost 5 - hopefully they can meet and hit it off. (they are also good w/ email if you would like them to get to know each other b4hand). I'm with you about getting on the ship asap. I think while in the terminal my kids will be hanging out around the model of the ship anyway so if we see anyone there b4 we board, great! but we will definitely try to meet onboard wherever the final destination is decided to be. :yay:

our FE is done. will try to get a picture posted when i figure out how :confused3

jennyb: did keegan get cameron's email? should he try to send it again?

I will have him check it when he gets home from school today. This has been the first week back for us and it's been crazy!:teacher:

It's been FOREVER since I posted to this thread. I am so pumped to get online and book our Palo ressie. What's the official time when we can start as a CC member - I know it's 90 days out but I'm confused on how the 90 days are calculated. Is 11/30 included in the calculation?

Bottom line - do we reserve Sunday night at midnight or Monday night at midnight?

Now that kids are back to school, I am excited to start planning our trip!

Here is a walking tour of Nassau I found on another thread. By the looks of it you are able to see a lot of things. Has anyone ever done one of these?? Any feedback on such a thing. We currently have a room at the Comfort Suites reserved. I have done a lot of reading and everyone says it's just about 15 minutes from Atlantis but you can use all the Atlantis stuff if you book a room there. Still don't know for sure what we are going to do, but we have until the 29th of November to figure it out!!

OK, I figured out that in less than 3 1/2 hours, we can get online for our bookings! Guess I better have some caffeine so I can stay up. :surfweb: The only thing I'm looking to book is Palo.

I recommend the Queen's Stairs and the view from the Fort.

Yeah!!!

I got Palo Dinner on Tuesday night.

I got Palo Brunch on Wednesday afternoon.

I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got Palo brunch on weds at 10 am! We opted to skip the Palo dinner this time. We also got The Wild Side for the kids again when at CC, they loved it last time, and this will be the first time our youngest DD will get to go on it since she just turned 13.

we got the stingray interaction on CC and the pm dolphin excursion on nassau. i also reserved brunch at palo.

pls tell me more about the atlantis/comfort inn "excursion". do u just book a room you have no intention of staying overnight in? does the hotel allow you to check in early in the morning? do u have use of all of atlantis property - dolphin adventure, aquarium, water park, etc?? (almost sounds too good to be true for the price of a comfort inn room  )

After getting up at all hours of the night only to have problems and not be able to book last night due to an error with the account not being marked paid in full which it was paid in full in march. I was very disappointed last night. So first thing this morning when Disney was open I called and went through hoops but they fixed my account and I was able to get the AM dolphin encounter. YEAH we are very excited.

Congrats to all that stayed up to snag those important excursions and meal reservations!

You simple have to book a room at the Comfort Suites hotel. You can take a taxi or a water taxi across.. there are mixed feelings on which one is better, but most say the land taxi is better. Make sure you agree on a price before you get into the taxi (land ones are about $4/person) You go to the hotel and check in and OUT at the same time. You pay for your room, they give you a receipt that is stamped PAID, take the receipt walk 15 minutes over to the Atlantis hotel. Bring your PAID receipt to one of the towel areas at Atlantis, they give your wrist bands and away you go. It's a lot cheaper then booking through Disney, however, if there is bad weather such as rain, you could be out the price of the hotel room since it was not book through Disney...Each room is good for 4 people.

I thought it was too good to be true too, there are many people who have done it over and over again and all have said it worked. The Comfort Suites is use to cruisers who check in and out at the same time and they have no problem with it. Also if you visit the comfort Suites website it tells you right there you are able to use all the facilities at Atlantis!!!! I booked a room for us and we have until Nov 29th to cancel it with no charge, I figure that way we have a room and we can always change our minds. It was 150/night since I do not get a AAA discount, otherwise I think it was 135/night. There are a lot of taxes and additional fees so most suggest you figure about 200/night, but that is still a lot less then what you would pay through Disney!!

If anyone else does this let me know, maybe we could share a taxi, it's been said they can hold about 12 and sometimes they will wait until they are full before they leave. :thumbsup2 :boat: :tigger: :mickeyjum :goofy:

We got our also. 9:30am! My kids don't even know we're going on a cruise (they won't find out until we arrive at the port). The dophins will be surprise #2. We'd love to meet with those who are going beforehand so our kids cna get to know each other.

Now that we are less then 90 days away!!!

When we had booked this trip Castaway Cay was on the second day. At what point did they change it back to have the beach day on the third day?
What day will the Pirate party be? The last dcl cruise it was on our first Castaway cay day, will it be the same? The reson we had two days at the Castaway was because of weather. What a great decision the captin made.

Thanks for the help!!!!

does any one know what the temp in the water will be cuz my dad (disneyfun1) booked the wildside thing. i want to know if it will be cold.

also if you can wear Camouflage on the ship? and in WDW?
