Hi all, getting close now! still waiting to see if we will get any pixie dust and an upgrade!

We booked two cat 12gty last year and were lucky enough to get upgraded to a cat 9's. However this year we have two cat 11's and we actually have cabin numbers. So far no sign of an upgrade but I am trying not to be miffed as I know the rooms will be fine and we really only sleep in them anyway!

So is anyone actually planning to meet up? also do any of you have daughters that would like penpals? My 9 year old daughter would love to correspond with someone.

I would be up for a meet, We should do it the first night since there are less activites planned on the ship the first day anyways. I am in!

Hmmm I am not sure where to suggest - how about the Promenade Lounge at 3pm? or is that too early? I have looked at the most recent navigator posted and there is not a lot going on at this time unless people wanted to do the nassau shopping talk or a tour of the ship. We then have the Safety Drill at 4pm followed by the sail away party.

Later on people will be on different dining schedules and watching shows I guess.

The other thing I worry about is how to know dis people apart from other guests?

Any suggestions?

We always meet 10th deck on the side next to the port a few minutes before the sail away party. We usually all have on certain colors or lanyards.

I like the 10th deck idea, as well as the 3pm-ish time. Muster drill will begin about 4 so that gives at least 1/2 to come and say hello, but the "before sail away party" sounds good too.

I do not have any DIS shirts or laynards (I am not cool enough to have my e-mails read on the show, ) but i dont really think it would be too hard to spot the group of us forming on the top deck, looking for other people we have never meet. Sounds funny doesn't it!

What exactly is this "party"? I have heard a couple other people talk about it. Was this something you had to sign up for? What do you get for hosting it? Any/all details would be appreicated. Sounds like fun if you ask me. What time should I be at your house?

You had to send in an application and then DCL picks a few to host a party. I think that they send you a few party favors also. A few party givers also won a cruise last time.

A Disney Cruise Line House Party. You agree to host a party at your house for friends and family to talk about Disney Cruises and they send you a bunch of party supplies.
Applied about a month ago and found out this week. I get a special host pin, luggage tags, rubber bacelets, apron, recipe cards, family fun crafts, scrapebook paper, a totem pole?, tattoos, welcome aboard sign, balloons, napkins, bandanas and mentions a onboard credit of some type. And you and your guests get entered to win a cruise.
We're very excited to be showing our neighbors and friends our past good cruisin' times! And get to get hyped up for this cruise!!!
The party is at 6pm if ya want to come up to PA.

We will have few door magnets-- it helps the kids find the door easier. And we got cutie mickey t-shirts for the boys and cutie minnie for girls! (now just have to talk my DH into wearing his---haha-- he's not a fan of matching clothes).

Yes we will have magnets on our doors too. I am trying to sort some pirate themed clothes for pirate night at the moment. My girls have some custom disney outfits but I am not sure they will wear them any more as they are waayy to cool now!! My hubby is also not keen on drawing attention either so it looks like I will have to have my fun with my little one and find him a cute mickey t shirt or one with cars or something. He is 2 now and absolutely loves mickey and minnie so I can't wait to meet some characters with him!

I just noticed the links in your signature and took a look-- those are great, your door will be great too!!!
I have a favor to ask if you have the time-- my 5 yr old just loves Herbie, (we had to have a Herbie birthday party this year and it is sooooo hard to find anything with Herbie on it) he would go crazy for a Herbie magnet with AJ on it. But only if you have time!

Im getting soooo excited!!! I went on today to check out the excursions and we have been upgraded so we are now in Room 7512 it looks like its in the same category but its an oceanview instead of an inside cabin.
