Morning Nanas!

Dawn did you check out Paradise Beach in Cozumel? That gets a lot of good reviews on the "other" cruise board. When we went there we went to Channukab Park. Grand Cayman we did the stingrays both times. We found the shopping to be fun in Cozumel (adventurous... but good bargains!). But I found the people in the shops at Grand Cayman to be kinda snooty.

greetings all. Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday. Warm here in the 'burgh but I don't think it's supposed to last.

For those looking at shore excursions in GC, I think 7 mile beach is one of the prettiest beaches in the Caribbean in terms of water clarity, color and calmness. When we did the Western, we actually got a day room at the Westin there so we could also enjoy the pool and other facilities. It was great (and relatively inexpensive compared to most excursion costs) but this time I think we'll probably just head to the beach on our own.

AND in Cozumel, we did Paradise Beach and it was our best day of the cruise (including CC). The beach was nice, the service fantastic, the food and beer cheap and good and lots of activities. We actually took out Kayaks and used the water trampoline too and had floats/rafts. Just a great day all around.

I have been trying to figure out excusions too. Did you guys know we could charter a Yacht in Cozumel through Disney...that would be a lot of fun. I will also look into getting a charter in Grand Cayman. I really want to go to Sting Ray City. What does everyone do in Key West? I are two things I want to do when I am there. Go to the Southern most point thingy and watch a sunset.

I'll check it out Melanie. It sounds alot like the Playo Del Mayo (sp?) in Grand Cayman.

The boys really want to visit a ruin in Grand Cayman. Some on mainland Mexico are just seem too far away, 45 minutes on a ferry! Has anyone gone to any of these.

Jeff, we would do 7 mile on our own also. I can't believe the cost of the excursions and for such a short time!

Kathy wanted me to post a picture of a fish extender. This is mine.

Christine,

We've been to Key West a couple of times. I'm thinking the sunset from the boat will be the best. The boats dock right by Mallory Square where people head to "watch" the sunset. The problem is it gets soooo crowded that you can't see the horizon! Here's a picture of the Southern most point thingy!

Lorna,

I've done a little researching too. We are leaning to going to Seven Mile beach in Grand Cayman and going to San Gervasio Ruins and/or Playa Del Sol Beach in Cozumel.

We also had talked about going to 7 mile beach. This Pirate excursion will take us there, but only for about an hour.

Hi every one, Today DH booked the Raddison on the phone. He was quoted 129.00 a night plus tax. This does include 2 breakfasts. I told him it was only 99.00 through internet. When he called back to question the price difference, They told him the 99.00 did not guarantee 2 beds or a non smoking room. We need 2 beds, so for now we are paying 129.00 Has anyone ever run into a problem where you have only gotten 1 bed when you need 2? I am not too worried about a smoking room. We just don't want to get there and them tell us sorry we only have rooms with 1 bed. I guess the kids could sleep on the floor:confused3 They probably would not like that too much. I know they don't have roll ways(per the internet) I am trying to decide what to do. I could not find anywhere on the internet where it said there are no guarantees on the type of room you get. I know it's only a 30.00 price difference, but that is 30.00 more I have to spend on the cruise:) Any advice????

Did you walk there? How far is it? I really want to walk around town and go to the southren most point. We also found a state park we may visit. I think it is within walking distance. If you walk it is only 1.50 to get in. Here is a link to it http://http://www.fortzacharytaylor.com/contactus.html

Sounds like 7 mile beach is the way to go. We have never been there before. Last time we swam with the StingRays. Maybe we will skip the Pirate ship thing and just get a cab. That way we have more time at the beach. It would be fun if we could get a group of us to go. I guess we have a while before we have to make up our minds.

We booked a room at the Radisson also, but it cost me $199.00 because they're are 6 of us and we needed a larger room with two king beds.

Hello . Has anyone Bought the picture on the ship that includes all the charaters? I was wondering what size it is?

That would be fun Lorna to go as a group.
