What are fish extenders and what do you put in them

?? What are we using them for??
Hi Lynn,
Remember the small fish on the wall by your cabin? It is a note holder. A fish exender is an extension of that holder. That way people can leave you some kind of candy or gift during the week.
It is usually a long strip of material that is very decorative and has 2 or 3 pockets on the front of it for people to put the gifts in. Usually around 20 to 24 inches long and around 6 inches wide, approximately.
It is fun when ever you come back to your room to see if someone has been there to leave you something.
Our resident expert is Dawn, she makes them and sells them. Perhaps she will post a picture of two for you to see how they look. Then you can be creative and make one for your family.
For the time of the year we are going I have even seen just a big stocking hung by a ribbon , some were decorated with characters, others had pockets sewed onto the front of it.
Some even get a gift bag and decorate it to hang. just get large handles to fit over the fish or add a ribbon to go over the fish to hand the bag.
types of gifts we have either given or received are:
miniature candies
note pads
neon bracelets andnecklaces
chinese finger traps
glow in the dark straws
small party favors like hand games, horns, bubbles
bottled water
spinning tops
small rubber duckies
stamp sets, disney themed
beads
pencils themed for pirates and princesses
you get the idea. Oriental trading has some great items, but your such a shopper, you can just watch those close out sales and dollar tables in the stores.
hope that explains it some, others may be able to explain better than me.
Dawn,
how bout posting a photo for Lynn?
