Just checking in. Busy day. Elizabeth was over this morning then groceries and bought carpeting for Christian's room.

Happy Birthday Emily! What did she do for her birthday? :bday:

Skylar's is Tuesday kind of a tough act so close to Christmas. Asked him what he wanted to eat and he chose Little Caesars pizza or lobster! :rotfl:

Goodnight nanas, Dawn

Evening all:

  OK, I'm excited....I booked our Radisson Hotel Room. I got it for $99.00 a nite:banana:

So now my next question is......what type of transportation did ya all take this past November??? :confused3 Should I be looking into a limo service/car rental?? Does anyone want to share if we are flying in around the same time?
Also, does the Radisson have a service that brings you to port.....I didnt read everything on the site.....I just booked the darn room;) ......

Wow, I have a lot to think about...thankfully I have a few months to work on this.....

I have been wondering the same things...

Originally I was going to rent a car one way so we could be on our own time and than take the DCL transfers back to the airport (does anyone know if I could book the transfer just one way:confused3) but than I thought about just taking a limo to the Radisson and taking the shuttle to the port. Kathy do you know if the shuttle will get us there at 10am or does it run later. I'm going for a boarding number of 3 or 4. Need as much time on the ship as possible:banana:
Nothing else happing....

Christine, the shuttles start running at 10 a.m. if I remember right.
You will be assigned a time , how ever sometimes people get excited and show up early and climb aboard and they dont make them get off. so you can wait for a long time sometimes. If you cant get 10 a.m. shuttle you could get a taxi.

i think the shuttle runs about every 20 to 30 minutes. It only takes 5 minutes to get to the port but the loading and unloading of people takes time and they deliver people to carnival terminal too.

Kathy

Wow! How did you get $99 a night? They charged me $199.00!

We would be interested in splitting limo fare with you or anyone else also. :thumbsup2

We'll have to start talking more once the cruise gets closer and we have our airfare booked and know our arrival times.

We've always wanted to ride in one of those stretched limo SUV's. If we get a few of us together who are arriving about the same time it would be a NICE, CHEAP ride to the Radisson?! :cool1: :cool1:

Greg

Hey Greg: The room rate...thru the internet...something about a sleepnumber room??? Dont know what the heck that means...but you have to pay up front on credit card....no big deal...so I did...109.89 w/tax.....
Now about sharing a streached limo....here's my story from our 06 cruise.
Traveled with family...there were nine in all...booked with "happy Limo"..we flew in friday nite...(mco) just stayed at best western airport inn. We had happy limo pick us up at 9am saturday morning....we had booked a "van" so we would have enough space for all the luggage - plus it was a little cheaper than a streach....Saturday morning arrives we get picked up in the streached lincoln navigator.....yeah Pixie dust starting already......then on the ride back from port to mco we also had the "van" booked.....we then get picked up in the streached hummer......it was awesome...no xtra charge....so I had a really good experience with happy limo......I'm game for splitting the cost....and yes we can discuss this when we start getting closer to the date...I will try and post some pictures of the limo's.

Denise:banana:

OK Greg here are the pictures: sorry about the people, just trying to give you an idea of the inside: also if you look closely at the seat where the two guys are sitting on both limos...all the luggage is piled up behind them:

Denise, great pictures!!

We did the same thing on our last cruise on Carnival. There was a group of 15 of us and we rented a streched limo SUV that would hold 20 people. We all squeezed in with our luggage and road to the port in Ft. lauderdale, it was great!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Happy friday everyone,
well we are one week closer to our cruise:thumbsup2

It is nice and chilly again here today and I am loving every minute of it.

Not much else happening around here right now.

Lynn, Lorna,
hope all of you guys are feeling better today:flower3:

Good morning everyone! Another chilly start here in Atlanta, but without the wind, it really feels good to me. Just wish I was hiking instead of sitting in an office!

Shell: Leave Dallas semi-intact for me. I have to be out there the week of the 14th!

Have a great Friday everyone!

Hey Kathy
Can you turn up the temperature just a tad for us in 2 weeks. Not so much that it's sweltering - we don't even need to swim! - just enough to thaw our freezing bones (it warmed up today - it is 17).

Jeff

A storms a comin'....a storms a comin' We are supposed to have some crazy weather here. It's actually pretty nice right now about 45. It's going to get really windy and rainy...this is a big thing in Vegas since we never had any weather. My in-laws are supposed to fly at tomorrow morning. I really really hope their flight doesn't get cancelled:scared:.

No much going on here. Thanks Kathy for the info...still not sure what we are going to do. We might just keep the car. This way Joey can drop me off at the port and he can go return the car and take the shuttle back.

Jeff,
you'll be happy to know for the next 7 days it will be around 70 all but one day, so maybe it will stay that way for you.:goodvibes

70 to 75 is perfect weather for doing the parks in my opinion.

we had snow flurries on our beaches:confused3 that was weird?

Kathy

Good Afternoon everyone! The sun did shine for a little bit...nice to see. Going to see National Treasure in an hour. Had Elizabeth all morning.

How's Andrew this morning? Lorna, are you better today? Hope so. Okie, is mom still doing ok?

I think that we are going to stay at WDW Thanksgiving and Friday night before the cruise this time. We had too much time on our hands at the Radisson. That way we can stay until whenever at WDW and head over in the morning with still plenty of time to spare! I have that on my to do first thing here in January when the boys return to school.

Check back in later. Dawn
