HAPPY NEW YEARS DAY TO EVERYONE

I hope everyone is safe after your various parties and get togethers last night.
I was up at midnight but in bed. I knew the dogs would be going crazy with all the noises at midnight if I didnt stay up and comfort the and I was right.
Today they are sleeping early to make up for not getting much sleep last night.

Good Morning    ,
Well today we are getting cold here in NY. We are going to reach a high of 18 today and tomorrow:scared1: !! My in-laws came over for alittle bit yesterday and then we relaxed the rest of the day. DH is still feeling lousy:sick:  !! He is on cough meds and his cough is so terrible it sounds like a dog darking. DH went to work today because they are busy with this being the 1st week of a new year and new month. Well today DS and I are off to run alot of errands and do afew Christmas returns at Toys R Us. That is all that is going on here. Have a great day everyone. Talk to you later;) ;) ;) !!!

Lorna: Feel Better!! Get alot of Rest!!

Linda: How are you and Bruce feeling???

Dawn: I hope your doctor's visit goes well today and you only new a patch up job and not major surgery!!!

Good morning everyone,

Greg, good to hear you got back safely and had a good time.

we finally got our cold front coming in today. It was 45 when we got up and it is going down, not up today.
Going to be 21 tonight and low the next morning is 30. On the coast they are saying they may get SNOW flurries for a couple of hours in the early morning hours tomarrow. High today low 40's and tomarrow mid 40's maybe 50's in some areas but it is going to be windy so it will feel colder.
I am really enjoying it:goodvibes

Lynn, it sounds like your family and Lornas family are both having a bad start to the new years. Time for everyone to get better.pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for everyone to get better soon.

Denise, tell Wally Happy New Years too.

well off to get some ironing done this morning.
I have some spaghetti sauce cooking in the slow cooker this morning.
It smells really good.:cloud9:

catch ya later,

Kathy

Good morning everyone! Temps in the mid-twenties here this morning, with wind chills in the low teens. Supposed to be even colder tonight!

Lorna & Lynn: Hope you guys get well soon!

Denise: Tell Wally we said hello as well!

Have a great day everyone. Back to the grindstone today!

OMG you that live in the south. That is COLD! The lake effect is still turned on...got about another 7 inches last night and still snowing :scared1:. But we are supposed to have a January thaw next week temps in the 50s!

Nothing is easy for me!!! Well, there is no patch job in the future for me. Total knee replacement will be my only option. BUT, a big but, the doctor has never done a knee replacement with my kindda knees and surgeries! He's gonna call me after he talks with his colleagues. This has already happened to me twice so here's to thinking positively that everything will turn out fine.

Hope everyone has a fine day. Check in later! Dawn

Doesn't that just excite you SO much when the doctor says he has not done a certain procedure before, and you will be his first?:scared1:

Hope everything works out!

OK, so here's a question I have for all of you. A couple years ago I was talking to a friend in NJ about New Year's and was shocked to find out that he had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned we were having pork & sauerkraut for new year's good luck dinner. I thought that tradition was everywhere, but now I've seen that there are regional traditions.

So the question is ... what do you eat on New Year's for good luck in the coming year?

And yes, we're making pork & sauerkraut. At some point today my mother will call and make sure!

Leftovers or Chinese Food. We have never had or heard of having a good luck meal on New Years'...and no I AM NOT FROM NJ!!!!!:rotfl2:

Okie: so glad to hear about your Mom.

Greg: -8 :scared1: now that's cold.

Dawn: Exciting news....I think:confused3

Everyone who is sick: did you guys get flu shots? If not, you really should. I got one this year and other than an upset stomach for a few days...I haven't been sick...knock on wood:)

Greg,
We went to Yellowstone last summer. We saw a ton of wildlife! It was pretty cool. I'm sure it's really different in the winter though!!

What did you go for?

We had some really bad roads driving home from Colorado last week too (across wyoming and nebraska)! Saw a lot of vehicles in the ditch, including semis. Thankfully we made it home ok!

Hi Nana Melanie,

Yellowstone is allot different in the winter. We didn't go into the Park. We have a condo that boarders the park and we just went up with some family, friends and neighbors to spend New Years Eve. We live about 85 miles south of West Yellowstone so it only takes us about an hour and 1/2 to get up there.

The only wildlife we saw this trip was tons of snow mobilers!! :rotfl2:

Greg

Okay so it is 18 degrees outside!! OMG DS and I were freezing to go to PetSmart to go to get Minnie Cat food. Yes tomorrow is going to feel in the single digits!! Well I have to go to the doctors for my montly visit and then we are coming right home because they is cold!! Well I have to fold all DS wash:laundy: :laundy: that I did this morning. Talk to you tomorrow!!

Greg: Are you going to use the Nursery while onaborad for you little one or are they are going to be in the club???

Would you like to be my new best friend? ;)

:lmao:

That is wild!

We were in Estes Park, Colorado for Christmas and were surprised to see big horn sheep. They were eating the salt off the road right in town.

This was the only animal that we didn't see on our trip to Yellowstone last summer.

Lynne-
Gosh I remember those fun monthly visits. Couldn't wait for them to become every week!!

We used the nursery for Jackson when we were onboard in November if you have any questions. They did a good job dealing with him considering what a stinker he was being. He started being really super clingy right before we went on the cruise. And he didn't want us to leave him at all. He was nearly 18 months.

Hi Lynn,

Yes, my DD Holly will turn 2 in Dec. this year, so we will try her out in the nursery. My wife and I want to try Palo's so we'll see if we can get her in the nursery for that. If not my teenage son will become the babysitter for a few hours. :rotfl2:

Bob, I always have room for more friends. Come on over to Yellowstone and I'll hook you up! :wizard:

I've attached a couple of pictures of our stay up at Yellowstone.

Playing games to kill time before 2008 arrives!
