Skylar won his last fall AYSO soccer game. They finish the fall undefeted. Hopefully they can keep their streak going in the spring. They are the #1 team.

We found a new place to eat and we ALL enjoyed it. The Bamboo House just around the corner from where we live. 8 of us ate lunch at the buffet--drink was extra--for $49! Can you believe that! They had sushi on the buffet too!

Yeah, everyone here has been following the story pretty close. It was really creepy the first day it happened there were Amber Alerts on all the freeways. I just hope the boy is OK and doesn't have to go back into that situation.

Christine...I wouldn't let the grandfathers wrongdoing stop you from visiting Mexico unless that isn't the only reason.

Christine, I know how you feel about Mexico. I've never been super comfortable there because I've know so many people who've had bad things happen to them on the mainland. Friends of my parents were falsely arrested for a supposed traffic violation and had to pay a HUGE amount of cash for their freedom. These people were all in their late 60's and a very polite group. Obviously a bogus arrest. Another woman I know on one of the cruise ships had a date rape drug slipped in her drink while onshore at one of the cantinas. She doesn't remember how she got back on the ship. Bottom line...Mexico strikes me as a place to be very careful.

Rule of thumb...stay in groups and don't wonder off by yourself.

Yes and no. My head feels better but because I have asthma it's now in my chest. This always happens when I get sick. I'm also starting to lose my voice, which if you know me, its complete torture for me but good for everyone else

I am actually wearing black 4 nights but that's because I am trying to cut down on my shoes. It wasn't easy for me to find 4 black outfits. I usually never wear black.

Seems like most of the dresses I end up looking at are black, so I was glad to find something different.

I may look for one or two others; otherwise, I'm wearing the same ol' dresses as years past (except for the one I wore last year for formal night.) Shell posted that pic of me with my laser-beam eyes, so now I can't wear it again.
