Good morning Nanas.

Getting ready for soccer.

Then back here to do some stuff around the house

Then a date with my lovely wife!

I wasn't on the board yesterday. It was my birthday, and I had to work. Everyone was great though. They had cake in the morning, and took me out to lunch. Went to dinner with Hubby, and then our Couples Fellowship had Carvel Ice cream cake for me! I was stuffed! Got home, and Mom and Dad had left me a Yucca plant, a beautiful fruit basket that Mom had decorated, a vase of roses, and cards that made me want to cry. All that, and she had just got her Nulasta shot that makes her bones make more bone marrow to give her more red blood cells to replace those that the chemo zaps. The shot makes her ache all over; I guess it's the bones being forced to produce marrow. She amazes me; Wednesday she got chemo, and she came home and made a chocolate peanut butter pie for us to take to our Wednesday night Bible study.

Today is my day to do whatever I want, so I'm asking Hubby to take me shopping at the Disney outlet store in Orlando, and we'll end up at WDW in the evening. I REALLY wanted to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween tonight, but they don't have it tonight. It was last night, and the next one is Monday night. The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is going on right now, but the band there today is the Smithereens, which doesn't do much for me. The other bands this year are actually ones we used to dance a lot to. We may just park hop and do a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

By the way...what are those fudge bars that ya'll were talking about on Thread #7?

SORRY WE DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS YOUR BRITHDAY YESTERDAY :confused3

I'm glad your mom is pushing herself, I'm sure it gives her great joy to do what she does and feel useful. Hugs and prayers for her.

We got our fish extender today, and it looks so cool. Thank you Dawn! That's something I can shop for today...gifts for the fish extenders. It's always better to give than receive. Now if I could just get a rich relative to feel that way, I could go on more Disney cruises!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

We had soccer this morning too Jeff. How did Elizabeth's game go? Is the finger still doing ok? The boys played a great game 3 - 2--in our favor.

It's in the 70s so I'm headed outside to do some chores and take advantage of the beautiful day. Wash car, maybe burn some branches, etc.

I've still to catch up from the last time I was on...

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! bbl

Happy Birthday Lisa!

Just about all our birthdays are in October too! My is Tuesday, Christian's is Thursday. We have soccer games both days :lmao:

pixiedust: pixiedust: for mom.

Have a great time at Disney. I'm sooo jealous. I love the Food & Wine Festival and it's been a few years since we've been. :confused3

Yes:thumbsup2

Dawn I'm Ok with going even if we can't get reservations. I figure I'll meet Wendy there at about 11am and see what happens.

We are but some of us are stopping at DTD before (we are driving from Tampa area). You are more than welcome to join us:cloud9:

Me too Christine. OK, 11 it is.

Jeff, we will be staying at the All-Star Music Thanksgiving night.

Hey all ... guess I didn't mention this before. A few months back we were looking at meeting and possibly adopting Dexter, a 1-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Well his Mom still would like to see us have him and she knows that he will be in a loving home, so we started talking to her again. Today we'll meet him and Duesey is going along to see how they get along. Then if all goes well, we'll do it again tomorrow for another play date, and pick him up to live with us when we get home from the cruise!

I    Corgis....good luck
