so are we the only ones who have done nothing re fe and regional gifts??????

No, We haven't done any yet either. I am still trying to think of good gifts, or what you would think of as good gifts.

I have read the info on the Cruisemate list, but I was still wondering do you give a gift for everyone in that cabin, or just one gift per person? Do you out your name on it? Leave special things for the kids in the cabin?

OK So do I have any takers yet? I am waiting for a 50% deposit before I book it...Look at the Balcony and suite prices. The ship doesn't come out until 2009

I was just looking at this ship the other night. Looks like it will be a great ship. Did you see where there will be balcony rooms on deck 2? We have cruised Carnival in the past. We have found as long as you are on the newer or neswest ship everything is great. There were a couple of times we went on older ships. Not nearly as good as the new ships. We are looking at the November 2010 Thanksgiving cruise. That will be my 40th birthday prestent:yay: Atleast that is what I am hoping for:banana:  So why don't you wait and go in November:confused3

:jumping1: :welcome: :jumping1:

Most of us have door magnets. You can get magnetic sheets from Wal-Mart or an office supply place. There are lots of pictures on the boards that you can just save and print.

What are the door magnets for? Are they suppose to say something about you? Or where your from?

I would look after Halloween for a costume. Everything will be 1/2 of. Dh and I are wearing Tshirts and pirate bandana. DCL ususally gives you these at dinner. My kids have a pirate costume from Pirates Of the Carrbian 2. It is an Elizabeth Swan outfit. We got them for 1/2 off:yay:

Thanks...I will wait until after Halloween. I thought about ordering from Disney Website, but I might wait until then to see what I find.

I'm really at a loss on Fish Extender ideas. I think we failed miserably on the Mexican Riviera cruise by buying a bunch of dollar store stuff and giving everyone bunches of forgettable stuff. We got a couple of really cool items that were VERY creatively focused on the region where those people were from. I have been racking my brain to equal that kind of thing but to no avail.

We still don't know how many cabins are participating, right? Don't we need to wait to buy until Nov 1? I guess I could just get a few extra to make sure I have enough.

Afternoon all:

Well its just an overcast day here...alto they keep saying the sun is supposed to come out.

So how many people are not going on another disney cruise????? I'm still decided if I want to re-book and go 2010 but on their new ship....maybe alaska????? just holding out hope....

well not much going on

later

We are not planning on re booking.:guilty: I do love DCL and hope to cruise on one of the new ships one day. We will hopefully do a cruise in 2010, but not DCL. We need to cruise when the kids are out of school, so that means Thanksgiving or spring break time. DCL is too much $$ during those times. We could go over the summer, but I would rather go on a cruise in the winter.

It's really just for fun. Plus it helps you find your room late at night:teeth:

I love to cruise in the Winter too!

Jeff I know how you feel. We got such great stuff and I gave out very generic stuff but I'm just not that creative. My favorite things were an extra large choclate bar customed wraped with our cruise info on it. We also got (of course from the same creative person) a customized lanyard. All she did was get plain white lanyards and used a lable machine to stick on our cruise info. Maybe you can use one of these ideas. I'm still sticking with the generic gifts:guilty:

Thanks for the ideas on the magnets. I may have to try some. Of course, some must say GO LSU!!!!!

Where do you store your pics to upload them so fast? I need to ours somwhere so we can post pics too.

I wanted to show some of the pics from our Cruise last January. The Celebrity Century- the Presidental Suite!!!Yahoo!!! We won at Bingo on the first day of the cruise and the prize was to stay in the suite for the whole cruise!!! It was only a 4 day though!! It was great and huge, and we had a personal butler named Elvis!!!:lmao: He kept reminding mw what his name was, I told him that I would never forget his name!!!

Those are cool ideas. I have a lot of FE gifts, but most are for the kids. I am still trying to come up with some ideas for the adults. I have a couple, but I don't know if I will have the time to do it. If not mine will be generic too:guilty: I still do not have my regional gift. There is a made in Michigan store at the Mall. I will probably see what they have.

Hi-I'm new to this thread. DH and I decided to book a Disney Cruise for Nov 29, since there were no rooms to be had at a resort. We are DVC members, and visit at least twice a year with our 3 yo dd, but this will be our first cruise.

Since it's our first DC, I had some questions...what's up with the door magnets? Does everyone do them...and how do you do them?

Welcome-     I am Lorna traveling with DH John and 2 DD ages 9 and 12. We are also cruising with our friends who have 2 boys.

I think Christine already answered the door magnet question.

I'm sure Wendy can help you with the LSU magnets

We all use photobucket. It's really easy to use. I think Shell has a full tutorial if you need help.

Wow what a great prize, yes I would love to see those pictures.

This time I am doing a gift for every cabin but you could do it for each person too if you want. You can keep it a surprise or put your name on it whatever you choose. Mine will be a surprise. Same thing with the kid stuff, it's all up to you how you want to do it. There really are no rules.
