I always thought there were a lot of kids on board during this time of year. However, after going in June I realized how few kids there really are in Nov. Wow, there were kids everywhere but they are older. Our cruise seems to have younger kids.

I agree. There was something about the number of kids on the Mexican riviera cruise. Not sure if it was because of summer, or older kids maybe - but seemed to be more than in November.

There are a lot of kids even in November - some younger, many just missing some days of school. Flounders crowd may vary depending on how many babies on board, how much demand, etc. When Emily was younger we found that if you go and get to know the staff, they will let you know when they have additional openings so you can schedule and plan around it. We never had trouble finding openings; but often she just wanted to stay with us. It was also nice to be able to roll the stroller in if they fell asleep early - ours was very portable that way - and get maybe an extra hour of adult time or time with the older kids at their activities.

The staff at Flounders is great. Very comfortable with them and they are so good with the kids and also the parents. One had a voice like Mary Poppins - she would leave reminder messages of scheduled times on the phone voice mail and it was just magical!

So, you all are going on the exact same cruise next year? Same ship, same places?

Yes, same cruise/same itinerary I think next year. The last two years were Eastern. I think it just depends on where the Magic is going the weekend after Thanksgiving. Seems that week has worked well. Who knows, however, in the future. Alaska would be cool. I would like to do a Mediterranean cruise sometime. We went to the Mexican Riviera this summer. It was nice, but like the Caribbean better. Western is my favorite I think. Plus we missed Castaway Cay!
