Ok I have to stop. I was just on Expedia checking airfare to Maui for this summer. MUST RESIST.
Jeff,
I think I would book now and then book onboard. You can always get your deposit back. You can also call DU or All Seas and ask their input.
Barbados and St. Lucia were two of our favorite trips. The water was amazing. DH did resort scuba at both locations and the diving in St. Lucia was excellent. They let him go down more than the 20 ft. resort course and he loved it. He's been wanting to take the time go get his SCUBA certified ever since.
Haven't been to Maui - we're now waiting for the Magic to go there with the new DVC Hawaii opening up!![]()
Later,
Gailyn
It's not bad enough that I can't stop thinking about Maui and Mai Tais - now Joanna had to bring WW fudge bars into it!![]()
I'm going to go read my PM![]()

OMG have you ever tasted them. Giant Chocolate fudge bars...Tastes like soft serve chocolate ice cream and they are BIG! and only ONE point
I could talk about Maui all night. We have never been to the Plantation House. Just read about it. Have you ever gone to Mama's Fish House? We have always wanted to but haven't yet.
If we go back anytime soon, we are going to do 3 islands. Oahu to see some of the history for a few days, then Kauai for the nature, then Maui because there is no way for us to go that far without going there.
How about this itinerary
Probably can't post a lot of details here but here are the ports of call. Thanksgiving week next year.
Departure Port: San Juan, Puerto Rico
Ports of Call: San Juan, Puerto Rico; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; St. John's, Antigua; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Island; San Juan, Puerto Rico

Hello, we have been to Mama's Fish House! It has wonderful food and it's a very beautiful location. It for sure a place on Maui that you don't want to miss next time you go.
Plantation House is very pretty too, and very nice dining.
We went to Maui a few years ago and stayed for two weeks, I think we ate everywhere!! We loved Hula Grill...not much can compare with that.
I told Dh if we ever go back, we need to stay at the Four Seasons Maui again, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. They wait on you hand and foot. You want for nothing there. But, it's pricey and so is the food there, it's a Spago there at the hotel.
I also found 2 choices for August 2009 for Southern Caribbean - one with Barbados and St. Lucia as a port. The other Dominica.
Here are the itineraries:
Ports of Call: San Juan, Puerto Rico; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; St. John's, Antigua; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Island; San Juan, Puerto Rico
Ports of Call: San Juan, Puerto Rico; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curacao; Roseau, Dominica; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; San Juan, Puerto Rico
I'm not brave enough to plan a cruise in August. I guess being from Louisiana, the Hurricane Season scares me too much. No August cruising me. I'm chicken.
