howdy people!!!

a lot of ruckus here lately thats for sure. Elmer told me niot to pay no mind to this inspecter fella and to go about my busness so i will. see how im usin the dots at the end of what i right. im gonna be a regular ernest hamingway pretty soon i used to love his movin pictures ernest goes to camp and such!!!
he was a looker!!!!!
i did wanna know something about this boat ride though. my cousin polly hears tell that this boat has a bunch of critters roamin around and espesially a real big rat. i know because im worldly that ships have big rats on em but i wanted to be shore.
i told my younguns that if they caught the big one that they wasnt allowed to keep it for pettin purposes.

time to start lookin for material for dress up purty night.

yep your right there are a couple of large rats roaming the ship. Also a couple of dogs, chipmunks and a pirate or two. A couple years ago the main rat did bite a couple of kids when they stole his cheese and pulled his tail.

Tell the yunguns not to fret, they are all friendly and well trained now, but dont yank on their tails, just in case.
They will even pose for pictures and sign autographs with your family.
Thank goodness they are all house broken too.

Now the pirates arnt quite as friendly, you gotta watch your ridicule and jewelry when they come around. One night we have a party to honor them so they wont steal our treasures. That party seems to appease them for the cruise. I'm sure if you offer them a swig of your home squeezins they wont bother you at all

If you have a JoAnne's Fabrics near you they had a sale on some very pretty sack cloth and Gingham checks you might like for formal night. Does Elmer have any red tennis shoes? They look great too.

We're at the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, California. We just got done unpacking and are heading to the pool.


I'll post a trip report of sorts and photos at some point..hopefully after we get home on Friday. More of a things we loved and things that were different and things we didn't love so much. One hint - WAAAAAAAAAAY too many pre-teens running amock. THis is our fourth cruise and I had never seen anything even approaching what we saw this time.

I am so jealous I want to stay at the St Regis so bad. Please take lots of pictures.

We noticed a lot of pre-teens/teens everywhere too. I knew there would be a lot since school had just gotten out. For the most part they were well behaved (except for the ones who stole my friends door magnets, which they got back because housekeeping saw them in someone elses luggage). I think most of them told their parents they were in the clubs but we saw a lot of them just hanging around the ship.

I'm trying really heard to find clothes so I can double up on shoes. I looked in my closet this weekend but it still looks like I will have at least 10 pairs. My goal is for 8 but we'll see

We have thunder and lightening this morning. No rain, just cloudy. If the storm gets much closer I may loose my internet connections, so if I disappear for very long today, that will be why.
we lost internet and TV last evening for awhile due to the storm passing through.

poor Pixie, she is afraid of thunder.
Minnie doesnt pay any attention unless it is really loud.

My problem is I don't wear much black (actually only have about 2 black dress) so it would cost me more money to go out an buy black clothes than it would to just pay the extra $50 for my luggage.


FYI - Newport News has a great casual knit dress for only $19. I have two of them and they are perfect for the cruise.
