Been up since 5am measuring water flows in the canal.

The river is at flood stage, so I'll be a busy man for the next couple of days!

Every year we have a couple of people drowned when the river gets this high. (usually fisherman/tourists who under estimate the power of the river)

My biggest fear is all the new homes that have been built along the water this past year......most all of them have very young children.

I'm still using a "Party Line" with my neighbors!!

For long distance I have to build a fire in my back yard and send smoke signals!! (every time I do that I have a bunch of Indians show up in my front yard....I tell them the casino is further down the road!)

If anyone is thinking of booking the 09 nanahead cruise, today is a good time to do it. On the DCL site they are offering 1/2 off the regular deposit. so instead of $250.00 each it is $125.00 each for the deposit.

They may fit someones budget better than waiting to book later for the full amount. I dont know how long it will be there, just thought i would pass the info along.
