Lorna, that place is beautiful! I would love to go there. Lisa's boss has a house in Michigan, and I think the area is called Blue Lake. We have an open offer to use it any time except in July (her sabbatical period every year). Hopefully, one day we are going to get up there!

I think that is on the west side of the state some where. Do you know what town it is near? Michigan is beautiful in the summer. I guess it is in the winter too, if you like snow. Hope you guys get to visit some time.

I forgot to mention to you, I was talking to my inlaws recently and they stayed in McDonough on their way home from Florida.

This should be a fun weekend. We are going with a group of people from our our church. It is couples confrence. Our pastor and his wife lead it. There is also some good entertainment. There will be a banquet on Saturday night. It is Hawaiian themed because we are on a island. Too bad it won't be 85 degrees out. We have some good friends that are going with us, along with my inlaws and SIL and BIL. I will post some pictures next week. This is a No kids weekend

That sounds like allot of fun!! I wish our church did something like that. They have camp outs for the girls and one for the boys, but never a family or couples retreat?!

In fact my wife is leaving June 23-27 for a girls camp with our church. I've decided while she's gone I'm going to load up the kids and head down to Utah to Marriott's Mountainside resort in Park City and just let the kids swim and play on the amusement park rides they have there.

Kathy keeping my fingers crossed for your closing.....

Well had Jack at vets tonite....another big bill!!! Double ear infection and his glands were full again. So I guess I'm going to have to give in and let him have the surgery to remove them. So he is now on antibiotics again, ear drops and predisone.....he's just darn lucky that I'm such a good mom.....

Nothing else much else happing here.

Kathy, I hope you close too. When we left WDW in April, we drove up through the area where you used to live - don't you miss it? It seemed very lovely.

Denise, hope your pup gets better and doesn't cost you a fortune in vet bills.

Evening Nanas

Long day at work...glad it's over!

Anyone ever do a cake decorating class?? I think I am going to sign up DD and myself-she thinks one of her goals may be to be a pastry chef? Has anyone ever taken one of the classes at a place like AC Moores?? They have a 4 week course-1 day a week-thought we would give it a try.

Not much else going on here....wish I had some vacation planned before November-I jealous of all you travelers

Good Evening I am finally finding time to sit down at the computer. I was gone most of the day. I was helping at DD school. Tomorrow my SIL is opening the garage sale again. I will go help her in the morning. I also have to get packed. We are headed to Mackinac Island on Friday. It is a small island up north Near the UP. There are no cars allowed on the island. Only horse and carriage and bikes. It is a beautiful place to visit! The weather does not look too good though We were hoping to do a lot of biking. That looks like an amazing place. I worked with a guy who commuted to Pittsburgh from Detroit every week and his family went to Mackinac every summer. Always thought we should do it since it is not that painful of a drive. Someday!

Nothing much new here. Emily has an ear infection/bulging eardrum Thank goodness Mina took her to the doctor's today since we are leaving in a week for WDW. She seems to always have something going on when we are heading off on a trip.

Evening all,
well NO closing again today. This time they needed a case number from the bank. I am not going to even think about it anymore. Just to frustrating right now.

Denise, I hope that jack will be well soon.

Minnie is going to have surgery next wednesday to remove a small bump on her chest. The needle biopsy was inconclusive so having it removed. Both dogs had their booster shots today and a couple of new ones for Pixie.
we had to muzzle her for the vet to check her out. Minnie was fine, she always is, poor baby had to have blood work, a biospy 2 shots and one nasal spray vacine today. she actually ran for the door to get out to the truck. she never does that.

well we were nice weather today and suppose to be close to 90 tomorrow.

Okie, I actually did one back in 1998 leading up to mine and Lisa's wedding. It was my way of relieving stress during the pre-wedding period. It was a Wilton format class. I really enjoyed it, especially since I was the only man in the class! It has been so long, that Lisa and I have discussed going back and doing one together. I love to cook, and desserts are my specialty. I think you all would have a blast!

Good Morning Everyone!

Very bad dream last night. First time I have ever dreamed about the cruise like this. For some reason, Lisa was trying to check us in and they told us that we no longer had a Cat 7, but we could do a Cat 10 or not get on the ship. Even had Lisa accepting drink coupons, and she hates alcohol! I was getting furious and the boat left without us while we were arguing with the staff. They were being VERY un-Disney-like in their attitudes, as was I!

Oh well, let's just hope that isn't an indication of how my day is going to unfold! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone. I just got caught up on posts. I get so jealous when I see everyones countdowns . Especially the people with more then one.

Hawaii and Vegas are two places I want to go to soooooo bad. Rick wants no part of Vegas. He used to make deliveries and like NYC it ruined it for him. OH well I guess I will have to go on my own some day.


Anyyways. I finally want to be able to get my fish extender started this weekend. Could someone let me know the measurments or any special tips. We borrowed a sewing machine but I have nevr used onein my life. .

We have the material, batting( I think that what they called it), felt pieces and something special to make it personal. Are we missing anything?

Chris & I and Alex went there 3 years ago as part of our summer vacation. You should have a wonderful time. But watch that biking there are lots of hills!! Chris about died pulling Alex on them in a cart!!

John had to pull DD in a bike carrier a few years ago. We just satyed on the main bike trail that goes on theoutside of ths island. When we go by ourselves we like to ride the interior of the island, but you are so right the hills are huge!

My friend always goes to a Christians womens confrence there in the fall. I think it is called win some women?? Where is your mom staying? Is she on the island? Where did you live in Michigan?
