I will just ditto Christine's response, because that is exactly the way we feel.:thumbsup2

As far as service, I just want to give one example I like sharing. In 2006, our head server was from India. Sara asked him if that meant we would be having curry one night for dinner. He said "No, it isn't on the menu this week." However, on the second night, and every night thereafter, a plate of Chicken Curry with Rice was brought to everyone at our table, in addition to our regular entree. All becasue one person at the table asked one question! That is the reason we choose DCL.

We also had several great experiences. Too many to post, however one sticks out the most: Lisa had cream puffs for dessert on the first night in the dining room. The next day, she asked one of the cooks when we would have cream puffs again. He said it was the only time of the cruise (first night only). About that time, our Head Waiter walked by and overheard the conversation. He gave the cook a very disgusted look and assured Lisa she would have cream puffs every night (which she did). That is the Disney difference!

OH NO!!! Did you have the person act out each scene?

You watch a clip from the show and then answer a question but some of the questions were just really weird. I don't want to give too much away but after the first "all play" we wondered if it was a kids game.

Hey Jeff Someone told me too that if you tip your staff with 2 dollar bills the first night they really like it I thought I might try that this time:thumbsup2

Greg, this is an interesting link that gives some info on tipping in cash and what is most helpful to the crew. I learned a lot by reading this about how to tip in cash. We all want to be as generous as possible to these hard working people on these ships and this blog makes me a little more on target.

Actually, my dad picked it. He and Mom took all of us (12 total) on a cruise in 2005 to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Since we had big kids, little kids and adults, he thought DCL would be the best choice.

So when we decided to go again in 2006, Bill chose DCL since we had already done it. They we got addicted to Nana Heads, and that was all she wrote for the next 2 years.

But I think this is our last DCL for a while. First, the ship isn't as important to us as the company, and we love our friends so much and being with them is all that matters. Second, the cost of DCL for us not having kids and not being real "Disney" people like some doesn't justify it. Lastly, we want to try new ports and have new experiences, so we're really looking forward to RCCL (or wherever Joanna tells us to go).

Still working on it Shell. I will try to have a couple of choices to toss around at the meet. Now we just have to convince Christine although she is doing a Med cruise she can still throw in a Caribbean one also.

Well I personally didn't think I would like Disney but I absolutley loved it. I am sure I will feel the same way about DCL. It is just something about when you come under the train track in magic kingdom and your eyes gaize on mainstreet,it is really like another world. I love kids and loving playing with them. I am definitley a Kid at heart. Don't get me wrong I like some down time to for Dear old Dad but I can't wait to see Wyatts face when he sees the parts of the ship and the characters!!! Now my wife turns in to this different person when we get to Disney. She goes kooKoo,gidi, silly and just plain excited. She has wanted to do this for years but we wanted to wait till we had a baby. You people do not realize how excited she is. I just hope she hasn't built it up so much she will be dissapointed!!! We are also looking forward to meeting all of our new friends we have been talking to for months now.

Morning Kathy,Joanna,Shel,Lisa,Jeff,GregID,Cheryl,Denise,Tonya,Bob,and Christine!!!!

As I was reading your post as was thinking the same thing, I hope Steph isn't so excited she is disappointed. I think I felt that way also with Disney Dreams. Everyone on the boards said they saw it numerous times and it was breathtaking. So I was waiting the entire show to be swept off my seat and I'm still waiting :rotfl: Now, I think if I didn't hear anything about it I might have felt different about it.

We most likely won't have time to discuss at the meet. That is a whirlwind ...

After I wrote it I meant to say onboard. I'm thinking I like a Turks & Caicos stop because they have a seaside community with beach right when you get off the ship. There is also a Margaritaville there with I hear a large pool.

But like I said I am working on it. :goodvibes

OMG I would love too. Who knows maybe we will hit Megabucks:rolleyes1

Whatcha building Greg?

I need a shop/garage built to store our RV and tractor in.

I wasn't going to do it for another year or two, but with all these contractors out of work and material prices falling I figured now maybe a good time to do it?

Hi Nanas-Busy day here. I am trying to finish up some last minute stuff for the Ladies night out on Friday. I have 35 Vendors, so I think it will be a great night!  I went and took my dress back and got a new one. I really like it. I am going to wear it to PALO. Well I have lots more to do. BBL

Hello Nanas...trying to run some errands today and pack a little!! hope everyone is having a great day:goodvibes

 Hi BFF - LA
 Hi Lorna

Just got my extra trip insurance...one more thing to check off my spreadsheet:thumbsup2

I have also decided that I do need to ship all my FE gifts to Joey's uncle. There is just no way I will come in under weight will all that stuff. We will ship that stuff out tomorrow so I need to have everything done by tonight. Fortunately my boss is still on travel so I should be able to finish up before I leave work. Tonight I am also doing my final toiletry inventory to see if there is anything else I need.

Not all of them ... maybe a few. What about you??? Or will we have to be content with seeing your beautiful face twice a year at Corky & Lennys? ;)

Linda ... are Dimples and OC all packed yet?
