I don't think you can from Key West they normally take it at the ck point and give it back to you at the end of your cruise. If you could there is several places right when you get off the ship after you get off the trolley.

On the Eastern itinerary we have always been able to keep our booze bought in port with us. We always pick up an additional bottle of Bacardi for onboard consumption.

If you purchase anything onboard, they will pack it and hold it for you until the last day of the cruise.

Not sure if the same holds true for the Western.....

The only items that are held are the duty free items, which would not be the case in KW. Of course, the caveat is that anything opened on the ship, stays on the ship. You would not be allowed to bring any partial bottles off the ship when we return to Port Canaveral.

Tonight I'm going to the Pitt basketball season opener.
Tomorrow morning Elizabeth has a swim meet early morning - I think we have to leave here before 8! Then later we are hoping to get a babysitter and have another date (two weeks in a row...crazy people, huh?) I probably need to do some stuff around the house to get ready for winter. Plus we have to start preparing to host the family next Saturday for an early Thanksgiving dinner since we wont' be here on the holiday. Yes, we like to push it to the nth degree.

Oh and I'll probably work on Sunday to do all the stuff I should be getting done today but am just not in the mood for.

Indeed. We have never brought anything on board - not sure why..just thought it was easier to order everything from the bar. But a couple bottles of wine would probably be a good idea and save us some cash for sure.

Well Steph just informed me that there is a 30 $ corkage fee and a 18 % gratuity so unless we are getting a 100.00 bottle of wine it probaly want be worth it but the small mini bottles for a few drinks is a great idea!!!

Oh yeah..I was talking about wine for the room (not dinner) as it is just smarter to buy the wine package for dinner. But since wine is primarily what I drink, a couple bottles in the room won't hurt.

Where did she find that info? When we went on in June it was only a $15 fee and no gratuity. But for $15 you got a Somelier to decant the wine for you. It was all very fancy (friend of our did it) and worth the money.
