Lampskies.....9 weeks from right now we will be enjoying one of the most magical ships on the sea.....found out on Thursday that I am having knee surgery on October 13th....so all I am gonna be able to do after it for 3 or 4 weeks is sit around and think of the ship.......before ya know it it will be here.....

I'm booking the Golden Eagle Catamaran today. It seems to be the choice of previous cruisers.

I booked the Golden Eagle Catamaran also today. I am SO excited! I can't believe only 60 days! I have started to get out my "vacation" clothes and looking through and making a list. I hope we have good weather. Has anyone ever went at this time of year?

I sailed at this time in 2001. We actually hit a hurricane, even though it was late in the season. The Capt. did a great job of navigating around it and still getting us to all the Eastern Ports. Made it a little interesting..... It was still a great time.

On our Dec 1 Wonder (replacement cruise for cancelled Nov 30 Eastern) the weather at sea was perfest 88 and sunny every day. We did sail in a storm on our last night out but we didn't get into it until after midnight.

There is a frost warning here in Indiana for tonight as well! Winter is coming too soon! What happened to our beautiful fall? I will be so ready to go by the time Nov 29th gets here! I just paid my cruise in full yesterday but was bummed because I did not get an upgrade! I normally do! Oh well.

Done!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Golden eagle Catamaran for 7:45a.m at St. Maarteen is officially booked for the Lampskies group of 6. Recieved our faxed confirmations and all.

Right now it appears most of our group is electing to not do any of the Disney excursions. Some are planning beach trips on their own, and the rest have small kids. One of us is a golf pro planning on playing Mahogony Run. Probably will drag along some of his less skilled travel mates. Our last Eastern we did the Champagne Catamaran Cruise to St Johns and loved it, but have also found just staying onboard durnig port days can be great. Very relaxing and quiet!

Sorry to read about the lousy weather up north. It will just make the anticipation waiting for 11/29 more intense. As for us poor Floridians, we will, alas, not be able to share that intensity. Sometimes living in paradise really stinks!

An idea for identifying our group at the dismeet. Last i read, we were planning to meet on deck 10, starboard side (dock side) after the safety drill. Last weekend, we went to WDW and bought a pair of the Mickey/Minnie very large glove/hands. The same kind CMs use on the dock to wave goodbye to the ship as it departs PC and CC. We were planning on taking them up to deck 10 to wave at the people on shore. They would be a good way to identify our dismeet group. Not everone needs them - just a few to locate the group. We will probably get a few more for our group. If anyone else is interested in getting some, we could pick them up at WDW. I know we are going back this weekend, and will go several more times between now and cruise date. If interested, let me know by post, PM or email. They are $16 per pair plus tax. Right at $17 total. Also let me know if you think this idea stinks!

A last plug for Lampskies website to post pictures. So far it is stuck at just 12 pictures from about 4 -5 families. It would be great to see more. The website address is on Lamskies posts.

Izzinmac.........thanks for the plug, it would be nice to be able to place more faces with names before we hit the ship. I am able to edit the pics out and rearrange if need be. I was thinking about having you all post a pic with stateroom number of who is staying where??? If you get those "hands" post as to where. We are spending Thanksgiving and Friday at WDW and whold be able to pick some up also!!! I personally will be the on with the ESPN mug in my hand. LOL

Princssdisnygina.........DD's are in the Crown Point school system.....DD13 is at Taft jr. high in downtown Crown Point and DD11 goes to Jerry Ross and school that just opened this year. Next year my eldest DD will be at the new C.P. H.S. If you talk to your relative we actually live closer to Valparaiso in a subdivision called Lake of the Four Seasons.

I almost forgot.........how about a little "good luck wish" for bfftsiu and Tenna4 some of our fellow Nov. 29 cruisers on their wedding comming up this weekend in Las Vegas!!!!!!!!! Brad you've been kinda' quiet on these boards lately!!!!! We'll be with them this weekend so let's keep this thread on the first page so I don't have to go searching for it on Tuesday when we get back!!!!! Good luck!!!

Hey all.....leaving on Sunday morning for 3 days in the World....gonna attend the Mickeys Halloween party on Sunday night....always wanted to go....and we are wearing costumes....or so my wife says.....we will be down to 8 short weeks on Saturday......so when is the Dismeet?
