snow melted off today but it is heading for the teens tonight, so should be icy in the morning!!
my SIL slid off the road with the grandkids coming home from church. Why would anybody in their right mind drive anywhere in that terrible icy weather Portland is having!!
They are ok, but the car has some dents and scratches. They are going to spend the night in salem at a hotel. But all this next week the weather will be just as bad!!

Jeff, do they have Guitar Hero? I'd start with that first if they don't have that. RedOctane has the video and guitar(s) cheap right now.

Jaime, What did you think of Survivor? I think Sugar really blew it at the questions...no doubt why she didn't even get a vote! I'm soooo glad Susie didn't win! I love it (NOT) when these people that haven't done anything the whole game say they've played a good game

Kierra should have no problem and neither will the biggest kid Glen It was a good deal at $99...there is a Rock Band 2 now for the Wii but it is only the game so if the kids enjoy it I'll just by the new game later. I got mine at Walmart. Do you have Wii fit?

I am just glad Bob won because Susie did not deserve it. Sugar answered the questions as if she thought she didn't have a chance anyway. Corrine ...really there was no need. Who won the $100,000 was it Sugar?

Hi guys....well I am going through withdrawl without the nanas...so I am gonna lurk and occasionally post...not able to go on this cruise...we are going on Jan 2, 2010 so Joshua(DS) can go....he is sooooo excitied!! It is funny both of my kids are sooo excited and they will be 19 and 1week shy of 20 when we go.....Disney is in our blood!!!!

Chelsea(DD) got hooked on rockband in the Stack-so this is what she is asking for as a Christmas presant--we only have PS2----so off to by another system I go...they do have it for the PS2 but ours is starting to go bad

For those of you that didn't see on the 2008 board-Rick is doing OK after his surgery!

Got to go put him back in his sling...he is moaning in pain...a nurse's work is never done

Morning all,

well we went to bed with raina nd woke up to 3 or 4 inches of snow and stil spitting some snow here. It was around 23 last night which was warmer than predicted, high of 30 today.

we are next to I-5 a major freeway through the state and there is almost 0 traffic. Usually its buzzing all night long. The trucks stop near us is filled with semi's trying to go places.

Greg waiting until 8 a.m. to try for work.. If its too bad he said he would come back home. I am waiting for a call to say he made it ok.

we have 10 days of bitter cold is the forecast is right. More snow wednesday, thursday too and next sunday.

what we have is crunchy ice snow.
The pups love it but cant take them out for very long in this cold. Their feet get red and I freeze.


We had a rough weekend. had to make a tough decision. I fyour not a dog lover it wont make sense to you but it wa shard for us.

Pixie has decided nOT to coem when called the past few weeks, Nomatter what we do. This is dangerous for many reasons, lus she will run from the field into the park and up to people and her hair is up with excitment. It is a friendly lets get aquianted thing but people dont know that and it scares them.

I know it would scare me too.
so we have sent off for a shock collar to train her. I hate those things but it has becoem dangerous for her not to be trained. The one we ordered is guaranteed NOT to do any physical damage ot the dog, some of them are so powerful they can really hurt them physically on a permanent basis.
It also has a tone added for training purposes.

I hope this will work, it is a last measure other than she can NEVER get off her leash and that wont let her exercise like she needs to do.
It will probably take 2 weeks with the Christmas mail to arrive but it was $60 cheaper to order it.

wish us luck. I hope she learns really fast so we wont have to zap her more than 3 or 4 times. It really bothers me to think about doing this to her but we are down to our last options.

They can evict us for her running into the park off leash and if someone were to panic when she ran to them and swat at her, she may bite them and then she would have to be put down. so we really have no choice.
