Ok Brantley, come on along. We think this will be a great chance to "try" a shorter sailing. We are spoiled having only gone on five seven nighters but have always wondered what it's like on the shorter sailings. Seems like it's more informal overall and that there is still tons to do on the ship. I figure we'll treat it like a park day and just run run run and forget the "relaxation" until Castaway Cay day. But otherwise do all the stuff we love about DCL.

We would like to try a 3 night as well. Right now I am looking at the 09 Nannahead cruise for next year. I had not thought about a 3 night until this deal came out. However, Savannah turns 13 in June and I would really like to take her to the parks for that. If we do, I am trying to decide whether to book a package or use that money towards DVC. We started to buy AKV last year, but held off to see what the new construction at the Contemporary would be. Since it turned out to be DVC, I would like to buy in there.

I looked it up too. It is expensive. And the Comfort Suites is about $320 plus taxes for the day we are in port (which is also pretty steep). Gotta decide if the slides are something we will really do. Otherwise, I think we'd just take the beach excursion. But the other thing is that if we have to go and "check in" to the Comfort Suites before going to the Atlantis, gotta figure in how much time we waste doing this, plus the cost of the taxi plus the cost of lunch - since all that is included with the DCL excursion. Great fun to be thinking about all this now that we have all our plans set, however!

Hey Jeff, speaking of slides, have you guys ever done any of the water parks at WDW? We never have, but if we take a summer trip we may try them out.[/QUOTE]

Brantley - Yep we have gone to Blizzard Beach a couple of times. VERY fun. I'd like to try Typhoon Lagoon sometime but it always seems to be closed for renovation when we want to hit it. We will be there in June for Elizabeth's dance performance and I am hoping to get there then.

Happy Anniversary Kathy and the Hammer

I didn't know when the date was but it was fun getting to celebrate with you at dinner on the ship!

Well you know my motto. Do it all. You only live once! :rotfl:

Morning all,
well my weekend plans are just to keep warm:lmao: We have 2 big storms headed our way and after living in Florida for 8 years I am not use to the cold. Lows in the teens highs in the 20's and low 30's and we will get a snow-rain mix with it. Dont know how much we will get, not as much as Salem will get but we will still get the cold.
Greg is going to fill up the propane tanks tomorrow morning so we have plenty of hear plus we have 2 electric heaters. Time to start wearing the long johns too.
The worst storm is coming down from Canada, so thanks to my Canadian friend. You know who you are;)

Hopefully we can sneak out tomorrow before the storm arrives late in the day to finish our Christmas shopping. we are going to mail our gifts just in case we cant make it to the family gift exchange this year due to the weather.
Just to be safe.

Today I am making our anniversary cake to see if Gregs memory will be jogged that today is our anniversary even though we celebrated on the ship.
He didnt have a clue this morning. I go through this most years so it is a joke between us after all these years.
His moms birthday was yesterday, that is usually a reminder to him that the day after is his anniversary;)
time to go, back later, lets see some nana posting today people:thumbsup2

We have a long way to go to make that million goal!!

Happy Anniversary!!!

I hope you weather isn't too bad:scared1: We live in the Altantic ocean so don't think you're getting weather from this Canadian friend;) We often get tropical storms from Florida though.

How long is the ship usually in port at Nassau? Do you really have time to use the room for changing swim clothes? Or is usually time to go when the room is actually ready?

We were orginally booked on 4 day cruise but switched to the Nana's. We had a room booked at the Comfort Suites for $125 and were told most people checked in and out at the same time. They would give us braclets and then we could walk to Atlantis and spend the day there. It was a lot cheaper then DCL however I bet rooms are more during Easter and it will probably be pretty busy there too. The Comfort Suites may have a special rate for cruise passengers though so it may be worth it to give them a call.

We are sailing on April 9 which is Easter weekend. Join us!

That would be a great weekend to go. As Alex is off school. But it is a little more expensive than some of the other dates. It's tempting though!

Yikes that is alot:scared1: and food is suspose to be very expensive there. At least on the DCL excursion you don't have to worry about anything.

I checkout the Kayak site Jeff. It's great! The rates for airfare are amazing compared to what we pay here. It would only cost $880 return for all off us from Phoenix that's what we pay each from here:scared1: Now we just got to decide if we want to take that much time away from our Phoenix trip:confused3 We would have to leave on Wednesday and go back on Monday...if we cruise we would probably miss the opportunity to go to the Grand Canyon and sure if I'm willing to do that. It would be the weekend after you go. You're leaving on my birthday!

Real quick...having internet issues today. Another snowy day. Kathy stay warm. Jeff, we only go to Typhoon Lagoon now. Alexis got her Christmas cut done today. Need to go Christmas shopping since I got zero done on the cruise:confused3 Have a great weekend everyone! Jaime, isn't Sugar smart!!

Hi Dawn:wave2: Isn't she though. This season has been really neat. I love how everyone takes her for granted. I loved the look on there faces last night...what great timing on her part. Who would you like to win?

For us it was easy because we were already going to be at Disney so all we had to do was adjust some hotel stuff. But yes some of the dates in Feb. were really tempting. I think it was only 850 or so for the three nighter. But then we would have to buy more airfare AND take Elizabeth out of school for two more days. So this way we aren't doing any of that and I think it all pretty much evens out. So again I'll say...JOIN US!!!!! :-)
We could talk some business and both write it off.

Jaime,
Greg already told me I cant blame you for our weather since your not living where its coming from. But I thought it would be fun to try:lmao:

Our rain wasnt suppose to hit until tomorrow night but its a huge down pour and very windy for the last 90 minutes:scared: I even lost my TV reception for a few minutes.

I saw a few big wet snow flakes mixed in.
Our temps dropped about 8 degrees too instead of warming up this afternoon, we have got colder:scared1:

Kathy, I haven't forgotten but I've forgotten to write:

Happy Anniversary Kathy & Greg!!!!
Miss you guys already!

Bob is very smart too so Sugar or him would be ok. I think that Sugar has played the game the best. She sure has outwit all of them! She told Matty: "Don't think, let me do the thinking, just write down Crystal's name"--AND HE DID!

Thanks Dawn,
we miss you too.

I am half frozen, going to be in the teens in 24 hours and high around 30 for 5 or 6 days:scared:
I am getting out my long johns tonight!!
Catch you all later,
