Morning Kathy!

Wow, 9 kids!! I don't even want to imagine that?!

I'd have to buy a mini-bus to haul everyone around?!

Looks like you'll get to take the top unchallenged today. We had a storm come through last night and topple trees into the canal, so I've been up since about 4am turning down water so we don't flood until we can get them cleared out! :scared1:

I just stopped by the hosue for some breakfast and then I'm gone again.

I know my wife has something planned for my birthday tomorrow, so I need to get the system back online ASAP!! :thumbsup2

Have a great day everyone! :woohoo:

Wow is there someone on the 08 cruise with 9 kids? I can't imagine...

Greg I hope you aviod flooding...and have a Great Birthday Tomorrow!!!!

hmmm...who will get to the top first????? Kathy or Greg???

Dawn...I am waiting to see some pictures...I guess you are taking advantage of a quiet house:thumbsup2

Okay...look at the two of you afraid to post...figuring if you do the other will take the top:sad2: Your just like my girls:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Where did everyone go?? Off to the park for us...I'll check in later...

Key West w ejust explore on our own. Tons of things within walking distance of the port. the farthest thing is the Southern most point about 1 miles away, most are just a few blocks.
some of the best snorkeling in the u.S are at key West so any snorkeling excursion would be great too.
your kids might like the aquarium or pirates museum , both are near the post, plenty of shopping too. But as you walk the sidewalk towards the first shops by the pier, go past them, tun left and the next shops are much cheaper with much of the same stuff. There is a huge shop right there by the aquarium plus an outdoor market too.
there are 2 trolleys to take you around. One is just a tour to show you where things are, you dont get off and explore. the other makes a huge loop and has many stops near different places to see. But if you get it going the wrong direction you can ride for 45 minutes before you can ge off instead of 10minutes, because it goes both ways.

Cozumel,

we did an jeep island tour which drove us around to see the area then stopped at the beach for a few hours, we were the only people there for almost the entire time. had free pop and salsa and chips too.

It was an ok excursion but probably not good for young kids, too boring for them.

Grand Caymen, your kids might like the turtle farm or a beach.

we didan sialnd toru which stopped at Hell which is a rock formation, interesting but once you've looked at it for10 seconds your ready to go.
There is a gift shop there that has seom funny post card about Hell and a P>O> next door and if you mail your cards from there they will be psot maked from Hell which is funny to do.
then we went to the turtle farm which was under construction, but hsould be doen now. lots of huge pools with turtles and you canhold one if you want. also the rum cake factory which was one small window behind a bush with an oven, stand mixer, stack of pans and a couter. Thats it, but then the gift shop was there, restrooms outside at the back, they had free samples of rum cake and sold them there too.
That was it. Itis a modern island with large modern buildings at the port which to me takes away from the tropical feel of the islands that welike to have.

dontknow what we are going to do. I may look and see if any where has a semi sub for seeingthe tropical fish. Your girls would probably like that too.those are usually only 30 to 45 minutes long and never completely submerge although where you sit your under the water line about 9 feet so you have a great view. some will have a diver go and feed the fish so more will come for you to see.

I know Key West greg will snorkel while I shop and explore a bit near the post.
I dont swim.
the other places we havnt even looked yet for an excursion.

we did love Cozumel, it is beautiful. i will have to ask my daughter what she did there, she had kids with her. it may have been horse back riding, not sure.

Thanks Kathy...

Glen does not snorkle, the girls are too young and I am a big baby and don't like going by myself...so that's out. That's works out great that most things are in walking distance at KeyWest...

Michelle & Trevor have booked the cruise that goes to Castaway Cay instead of KeyWest the week before Thanksgiving...they didn't think they would like it there...but there whole family loves snorkling so I'll have to let her know.

I wonder if Dawn will have time to stop by before they leave?
I cant remember if she is leaving today or tomorrow?:confused3

Kathy

I'm trying to catch up. You Nana's did a great job with the pages while I was gone!

There's a story behind this...We lost power again due to a huge storm Wednesday, July 2 pm. Torrential rains. The pool was FULL and inches of water on the grass. At one spot, the water got so deep that it was pouring into the window well by Christian's room. And if it goes in, it has to come out! The boys were out balling (in the rain) and I'm downstairs holding towels up to try and catch as much as possible :confused3 Christian fixed it by building a levy of sorts with bricks. Then came the mopping up the water that got in. Remember we have no electricity. Greg, pretty much reminder me of your water surge! :sad2: I was basically done for the day, legs couldn't do anymore. The boys mopped up with towels virtually every drop! We have a pile of towels 4 foot high and wide! Started washing them now! AND THEN...got up at 4:30 in the dark to go. And the only explanantion that I have is we used the dome lights on the van too much...ready--set--click,click! Not enough battery juice to start the van! We hurried up to wait until a reasonable hour to call Stephanie to come jump us. We got on the road at 7 a.m.

Well, IF you got through all that, you did good! :rotfl2:

Me again! Three times today! Dawn would be so proud:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good night all!

Whoo-hoo! Kathy, having fun with those bananas yet! :lmao:

Ya, I'm pretty excited. We've never been to Disney World.

I hope the park is slow during that time....I hate to wait in line for anything!!

I just bought our tickets for "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" last night.

Yes!

Since there is no disclaimer stating that this IS NOT a picture of you.....I'm assuming it is! :rotfl:

I think you need to use a stronger product in your hair....all of that dust you've been eating is causing some serious "split ends"!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

LOL

Dont bet on it buddy.

if you only knew how sneaky I can be;)
I am not the sweet, kind , lovable person everyone says i am:rolleyes1
well at least my mom says that and she should know.

Better watch your back on the ship.

Kathy

Greg, fair warning, she means it. She can catch you in the most compromising ______(intentionally left blank)!

Thanks Kathy...

My oldest DD has snorkeled at Key West, St. Thomas. St. Johns. St. Maartin and Castaway cay and all of her family say Key West was the bEST and I have read many , articles about the snorkeling there. There are are couple of reefs there rated among the best in the world, not just the U.S. Sorry I cant think of their name, but when she checks it out there are a dozen or more snorkeling excursions between the ships and private excursions.

I will try to name off a few more things to do at Key West that are easily walked to. at least their sidewalks are easily accessible for strollers and wheel chairs which many of the islands arnt.

That would be great...Thanks...

We were considering the butterfly farm but I think we would have to get a cab or trolley there...it's by the point.

here is the complete display. It was really neat to see. see if you can see some of the mickeys

ChristmasWDW06005.jpg

Kathy, did you find all the hidden Mickeys? There were a couple that we gave up on. We even asked and they told us and still could not find :confused3
