Boys lost their game tonight 7 - 10. They got 5 runs in the 6th inning. They all weren't playing real well and then rallied at the end. We lost a lot of runs because of base runners trying to steal--at inappropriate times.

Hi Dawn,

Sorry, had a very busy day. We went on the "shake n bake" jeep safari tour of Aruba today from 8am till 2pm then we went on a sunset sail to a private island for dinner from 5pm till 11pm. We just walked in the door.

Here is a short video clip from our shake n bake tour. I'll add more tomorrow after I get some sleep.

Due to a lot of recent events we are now on hold for returning to Florida. We hired our friend to fix up all the repairs to our place for now.
So I am still here. But when we do go i have it all mapped out and places to stay along the way. I am happy to of finished that chore.

We are going on a weeks vacation starting on sunday the 14th to the mountains with my brothers to camp and ride our quads. It is dry camping which means all thats there is a pit toilet.
we have to bring everything with us, but that also means it wont be crowded.
My brothers go every year, so this year we will be joining them.

Then on the 25, 26th and 27th we will be at the coast in a dog friendly hotel for my birthday.
Maybe I will be able to destress a bit. I really need it. So do my brothers.

That was a ShAkE and bake tour wasn't it! A whole lot of laughter going on then too! What did you see on that tour?

A sunset sail, how romantic! You ate dinner then too? What am I doing today? When do you come home?

Kathy, You guys are going to keep pushing the trip out and won't even make it back to Florida--I guess fall would be a good time to travel Hey, I thought we had a date in August!? Joking aside--I'm glad you are getting to spend time with your brothers. That sounds like a fun time!

Got the cabana to paint today. Scraped it yesterday just have to run the sander over it. I never got it painted from that hail storm we had last July so it is basically just the bottom part that needs it. Of course, it's the weekend so the lawn needs mowed. Does it ever stop!

Ice cream social for baseball is tomorrow. The soccer game scheduled at the same time hopefully is being moved to Tuesday night! Pool party for soccer tomorrow afternoon.

Our jeep tour was on the eastern side of the island. It very rocky....not many people live on that side. It was interesting to see though.

We fly back home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30pm and arrive back in Salt Lake City about 11:30pm. We'll stay the night in SLC and then drive home Sunday morning......should be back home around noon Sunday.

Greg, nice photos. Believe it or not I am happy you guys are having a good time. For Janels sake of course




Well our 3 days of nasty storms seems to have finally come to an end. Thank goodness. It did lots of damages aound thsi part of the state. One teen got hit by lightning. He will survive but he has a badly burned ankle, busted ear drum and will have cateracts on both eyes.

Today we are back to my moms for the weekend. Greg will go on to his moms for the weekend. He is going to help her in the garden.

I have bought some clothes for my mom, I hope she likes them and will wear them. I know what she likes but right now she is so different you just never know what she is going to say.

She wears a medium but will say its too small and will want a large. So this time I am taking a large and a medium so she can choose. I will just take back what she doesn't want.

Then the following weekend we will go camping for the week.


Anybody have any plans this weekend?

Denise, glad to hear Izzy os growing nicely. She just looked so small I was worried she was loosing weight. That can happens sometimes. Nice to know she is doing great I am anxious for my next grandchild to be born. But its along wait til January

Hey all! I'm checking in for the weekend. I haven't been on much because I think I pinched a nerve or something in my arm. Its been pretty painful to write or type so I've just been lurking. It's feeling better today somewhat. But that would make sense because my doctor had me schedule an appt with a neurologist for next week. I should have done that on Monday and would have been all better by now.

Glad everyone has had a good week. I'll try to check in over the weekend to look at all the videos and pictures.

Everything is ok with us. We thought DD had chickenpox but turned out that the chemicals in the hot tub are out of whack and gave her a rash. Phew! I mean - too bad about the rash but thank goodness she didn't have chickenpox.

We've got a big girl scout car wash this weekend. The girls have decided to donate all the proceeds to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We have a girl in the troop with it and they want to help. We're kind of skirting GS rules but what the heck!

nice to hear from you. I thought about changing my screen name but i have so many posts built up I dont want to start with #1 again. I want to see how many posts I can build up over the years .



Hi Allison, sorry to hear about your arm. I was wondering where you were. Hope it feels better soon. I pinched a nerve in a finger once and thought I was going to die it hurt so bad. Hope your is better than that and you'll be back to typing full time again.

I think its nice the GS want to donate like that, especially since one of them has the disease. Giving like that to help others is a valuable lesson even if it is skirting the rules a bit.


My daughter and her troop are camping this weekend. The final campout of the year at Champoeg park near Salem Oregon. Lots of trials there to hike which they love to do. It is my grandaughter's 18th Birthday this weekend so they are taking her a cake and going to do a caveman party for her. They are just using hands to eat the cake with and dressing in sheets like togas and such.They will eat dinner that way too.

I bet the other campers will think they are crazy But this is Ana's last year with them since she is 18 so they are going all out for her. Truthfully I dont think they wanted to wash the dishes so they came up with the rotfl2:



Dawn, how about a photo or 2 of Elizabeth? Its been quite awhile since we have seen her. I know she has to be growing like crazy

Hello everyone,

We spent our last day in Aruba just relaxing. We went swimming and then just laid out on the beach until dinner time. Now where just finishing up doing laundry and getting ready to start packing.

Check out time is 10am, but our flight doesn't leave Aruba until 3:30pm. We'll probably just do some site seeing in the car before we have to end for the airport.

I probably won't be back online until we get home Sunday afternoon.
