Jeff - I'm so sorry to hear that it's whooping cough. :grouphug: Glad something is diagnosed but was hoping for something that would go away quicker. I remember my niece had it bad. Just a word of warning, in the real height of it my sister had to keep a rubbermaid container in the car with her. My niece would basically cough until she vomited. Sorry for the gross info but just want you to be prepared if Elizabeth gets to that stage. And my niece coughed for at least 4 months. Sorry. There have been no lasting effects. She still plays year round basketball and other sports. So no damage to the lungs.

And no Kathy, there is no fee. :goodvibes Okay, maybe a drink on the cruise but we'll worry about that in November. :rolleyes1

Greg sorry to hear about the roof. I hope the winds don't make it past the Rockies. We don't want any strange weather on the East coast.

And Kathy those waffles are sounding very strange to me. Bacon waffles with cinnamon applesauce ... umm, I really have no other comment. Of course I used to put peanut butter and syrup on my waffles so I guess I can't really critique yours. :lmao: :lmao:

Allison, Peanut butter on waffles or pancakes is yummy!!

I like to put bacon bits in the waffles when i cook them. Then I warm a small amount of cinnamon applesauce and spread on the waffles. You really dont even need syrup unless you just want it. I thought it sounded aweful when I cooked it in restaurants but it was very popular so now I make it at home and Greg loves bacon waffles and he has always liked the cinnamon applesauce on that kids of stuff.

I use to cook some weird things in the restaurants for people. One man loved hot chicken gravy on his green salad instead of dressing. Another man like his cooked pancakes run through the bun toaster until they were pretty black.
Then there was a mother who could only get her daughter to eat her spaghetti if I hid lots of parsley under the spag sauce. She loved parsley so in order to find it she had to eat the spaghetti. Lots of quirks out there worse than my waffles:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Afternoon Nana's!!

Jeff, I'm glad they finally figured out what it is. Whooping cough is nasty stuff. :scared1:

We have a wind warning in effect today. They say we may see 70mph winds!! I keep telling myself only about 2 weeks left till Aruba and I'm outta here!! :rotfl2:

The wind is blowing hard enough now that I've lost some shingles off the roof of our house. My shingles are suppose to be rated for wind speeds up to 80mph??? Guess I'll be doing roof repairs tomorrow. :sad2:

Later

Thanks Greg. The Doc says no lasting effects and they aren't really sure that it is whooping cough. They can test for it but said that treatment is the same regardless of if it is just a nasty virus or whooping cough. So we shall see how it goes.

Glad you are getting used to the wind. You'll experience some of that in Aruba, you know!

Thanks Allison. See above - still not positive it's whooping cough and we'll probably never really know. And re the throwing up. Been there Done that a few times already. Hoping we are now beyond that now. Coughing fits are becoming fewer and shorter - though still as intense. Instead of coughing every hour or so, she is really only having 4-5 episodes a day. And instead of lasting 15 seconds or more, they are more like 5 seconds each. And last night she slept thru the night.

She had a band concert today (she plays clarinet) and made it through the whole thing with no coughing. She is right now swimming with her swim team. Taking it easier than normal, but after about a half hour, so far so good.

Keep the pixie dust and good thoughts coming. We need all we can get.

:wave2: Hey Kathy!!!!
:wave2: Hey Jeff!!!

Those are the only 2 lights I see on!!!

Kathy, glad you are doing better. Sounds like you are getting back up to speed!!!!

Jeff, sorry Elizabeth is still feeling so bad. Hopefully those treatments will help. I bet you guys are really tired of not having a final diagnosis. Hope she gets well soon!!!!

Hey Brantley
Well the good news bad news is that there are no more treatments. She has done 2 rounds of antibiotics. they tried asthma meds. Now it's wait it out and recuperate. I of course am a nervous wreck watching her swim right now but she seems more comfortable in the water than out. :lmao:

Jeff - I'll definitely keep the pixie dust and prayers coming. Poor kid no matter what it is. :grouphug:

Kathy - we have a family friend who's daughter would only eat food if she dipped it in peach yogurt first. That included all fruits and vegetables, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, etc.

I couldn't even imagine being a cook in a restaurant. I worked in a bagel shop one summer. This guy used to order an onion bagel, scallion cream cheese, olives and then mustard. :scared: I really hope he bought a lot of breath mints!! :lmao:

As long as its not this 70+ mph stuff I'll take it. :lmao:

I see your ticker says your going to Hawaii?! That will be fun, we enjoy Hawaii.

Good Morning!

Off to do errands this morning.

:wave2: Hi Jeff, So glad to hear Elizabeth is doing better and on the mend. When our Elizabeth had whooping cough, she'd make me cry when I held her. It was sooo upsetting to see her that sick.

:wave2: Hi Kathy! Sorry I've been so busy lately!
:wave2: Hi Greg! Bet you can't hardly stand the wait any longer!
:wave2: Hi Brantley! How are you surviving the work schedule?
:wave2: Hi Allison! Have you recouped from your loss of sleep?

Since we're so close to the bottom......I'd better shoot for the top......just to one up Kathy! :lmao:

Howdy Greg,

Where is all the praise or at least a few insults:confused3

Your just not on the job today are you:lmao:

You blew your chance now.;)

Kathy

I'd comment on your top page, but it seem so insignificant next to mine now. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Good morning everyone,

Not much happening here today. Just trying to do some work on finding the company who has my belongings stored. They have changed their phone number and now I cant reach them. I have written several letters to the 2 addresses I have asking for the new number and how much it will cost to get my stuff sent back to Florida. I have researched on line but no luck so far in finding this company. It has been 8 weeks now but this month I am not paying my bill in hopes that will prompt them to contact me.
Brantley has given me a lead number to try but so far no answer there either.
They are in Georgia. So hopefully I still have belongings to send for.

Just more stress I don't need right now. So wish me luck I really need it.

Anybody have some fun plans for the weekend?
How about over Memorial day weekend? Anybody doing anything special??

I plan on staying home that day to try and relax before I explode:rotfl2: May do a day drive to the coast if the weather is nice but probably just stay home. Way too much traffic anyway that weekend.

Have a great day all,

I will be checking back in case we get close to the top today. I sure dont want Greg or any other guy to snag the top again today:rolleyes1

Kathy

Greg, I have sunshine today!!!

I'm hoping your still rain all day long:lmao:

I have sunshine, but the wind is terrible. Today is a little better but much cooler!

Memorial weekend I'll be packing for Aruba.......I am so outta here!! :cool1:

Greg, It is a good thing that we know you so well because you sound not nice at all! :lmao:Give the poor ole lady her due! :rotfl:

Hmmm...what are we doing this weekend? After the soccer game on Saturday, and bringing one of Skylar's friends back home with us (just happens to be a girl :scared1:), Christian and I plan on taking off the leaf net and maybe the winter cover--that's probably too optimistic! :woohoo:Sunday will be Mother's Day around here. Sarah said that her and David will bring mushrooms and steak for dinner. Yumm! Memorial Day weekend I'm having a garage sale on Saturday and, if the weather is good, we'll go to Shipshewana, IN on Monday.

Well, you have nice weather, Kathy, and it's raining here and cool.

Afternoon all:

Well I see Greg is still causing problems on the boards......its amazing that he causes all these problems then when you meet him.....hes quite and shy:eek::rolleyes1

Just popping in to say hi....

Actually going to do some yard work this weekend....want the house to have nice crub appeal while trying to get it sold. We have been getting a lot of lookers...now I want the buyers to come in...:rotfl:

I just booked my airline reservations to head back to colorado in august.....
so thats my summer trip.

Nothing else going on here. Nice and gray, glooming and rainy here today.

Kathy are you moving back to florida?

Denise:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Denise:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

No, that just means I'm in "daddy mode" because I've just flown clear across the country with 4 kids and I'm trying to maintain my sanity! :rotfl2:

The DIS board is my frustration release outlet! :rotfl::rotfl:

Its has to be Greg's fault some how but my sun was gone by 10 a.m. It has been pouring rain ever since:eek: Guess I will just have to send it Gregs way to repay him for all his kindness today:lmao:
Aruba may not want to let you off the plane after I finish talking with them:thumbsup2

Dawn, How is Skylars back doing? Must be all better from what you posted today:goodvibes I hope so.

Hi Denise,
I am not sure when we will get back now. Several big obstacles have got in the way right now. Including trying to find out if I even have any belongings left:rolleyes1 Gotta try to call again this afternoon. So we are hoping to still make it this summer.
We may have to rent our home again and then just rent a place when we return until the new renters will be out. Cant afford to keep up those full payments if we're not living in it and paying to live here too.
So keep fingers crossed for us!!
How about a couple more bably photos??

Greg, did you loose many shingles? Hope your roof held up ok.

Back this evening to see whats cooking here around here. Probably skunk stew from the look of things:lmao::lmao:
