Good Morning! The sun is finally shining in promise of a summer day! Still cooler than normal temperatures but I'll take it.

I'll do a little and hoping to spend some time at the pool.

Good morning Dawn!

Looks like we maybe reviving our plans for Mt. Rushmore!

We were suppose to go down to Durango Colorado for a week in July, but it looks like that is going to be postponed until October, so 4th of July fireworks at Mt. Rushmore is back on our travel plans again.

I know you said you guys were headed to Cedar Point, but I thought I'd mention it to you in case your plans change too.

If we go it will be a fast trip.....arrive July 3rd and leaving July 5 because Chayce has to be back home to leave for Scout camp July 6.

Well, darn. There's no "fast" trip to North Dakota for us. It takes 1 1/2 days of travel just to get there!

I read the thread that Pam referenced. It wouldn't bother me to go on the Magic again. We will have to go no later than that November because the passports need to be renewed in 2012. I don't think that I will do that then because I don't we'll do much traveling with the boys in the later years of high school. Right now we are booked on the November 2010.

We spent the afternoon at the pool. Sun out all day and it's about 75 degrees. Christian gets in the pool but still too cold for Skylar and me.

Allison, what are you doing this weekend? Girl Scout stuff over with for the summer?

Dawn, we lucked out and got a hotel in Keystone just two miles from the Rushmore monument right on the boardwalk!

The hotel we'd originally booked in Rapid City was sold out!

Getting ready for vacation on Saturday!!!! Can't wait. Got a call over the weekend from Portobello Yacht Club that they were bumping us out of the restaurant because of a private event . Asked if they could help us get reservations somewhere else. We had been trying and trying to get california grill but couldn't get a reservation any early than 10 p.m. Voila this guy got us a 7:30 reservation!!!! Can't wait as we have never been there.

Just celebrating the Stanley Cup victory by the Penguins over the weekend - watching the parade on TV while grabbing lunch. Have a great day all.

We have eaten at CG 2x and planned dinner around the fireworks at the MK. I think the fireworks are at 10:00 when you are there, maybe they will be late with seating you and you can stay and watch the fireworks from the observation deck. Or just order and eat slowly..

LOL - we'll probably either stick it out and hit the observation deck or just head to the beach at the GF or Poly to watch. We haven't bought the Cirque tix yet but they are available. Our plans are still adjusting so we haven't been able to commit yet - the day we are going to California Grill was originally the night we had pegged for Cirque so now we have to choose from 2 other possible nights...
