Have any of you been to the Cirque show at Downtown Disney. Lizzie really wants to go but I'm not sure if we should all go or if I should just take her. I don't know if it's too "old" for Emily... Thoughts?

I havnt seen it myself but i know all ages do go. It is not what I consider a circus. It is all about acrobatics, trampolines and balancing acts. They do have children perform in parts of it too.
My BIL saw it out on the west coast, of course a different version but they absolutely loved it.
If Emily likes to see juggling and balancing type things she may like it. Maybe take her a book to read just in case??

I know its fast paced for the most part, so it should keep a childs attention.

We saw it while we were there. The kids enjoyed it, but Janel and I liked the Cirque shows in Vegas better.

Mark and I saw it a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Although I have no other shows to compare it to since this is the only one I have seen.

I've only seen the ones in NYC but I would definitely take a child to it. It is not a typical circus. Its on the unique side but we definitely enjoy the Cirque shows.

Morning all.

Dawn I hope you're seeing the sun this morning. It's raining again in NYC. And its stinkin' cold. When the heck is summer going to get here. I'm always cold anyway so I'm ready for some heat!!!!!

Kathy - sorry to hear you are still having problems with these movers.

And just a word of warning to all, if you go to a neurologist and he tells you he is going to shock the nerve to test it, he's going to really freakin' shock you - over and over again!!! I thought he was joking. At one point I told him that the shocking was worse than the pain in my arm.
He finished shocking me and said "Good news is that your radial nerve is intact. Bad news is that now I'm going to poke you with an acupuncture needle." Now I have two bruises on my hand. Radial nerve is intact but the nerve to my thumb isn't working. He kept asking me if I had neck pain. "Umm nope, but now my hand really hurts where you shocked and poked me!"
Told me to call back in 2 weeks and if it's not better than I get an MRI. Yeah right!!!

I know how you feel.... had the same test done on both arms....it was not fun...they must search the internet for sadists to do that job....

Allison, I just had an EMG test done on my arm a couple of months ago too. I agree the shocking and needle pokes were worse then the pain in my arm and hand. Did he stick you in your thumb muscle too? That one was the worst!!

They still don't know what causing my pain either?!

Jeff we've been. I want to say 2006 so the boys would have been 9 and 10. Emily will love it also. We happen to choose the right seats. I would NOT sit down by the stage alot of the action goes on on the walkway between the seats by the stage and the next tier. We happen to be the first seats on that second tier right in front of the stage. The boys still talk about it. Well worth the money at least once.

I made it--it is still morning!

Took Alexis to get a haircut and went and got groceries while she was there. That worked out perfect. She's very pretty and feels better too!

No, Allison, it's raining here today and a cool 61 degrees. I'm with you--turn up the heat! Yesterday wasn't real warm but the sun came out around noon and stayed out until about 7 p.m.

Kathy, if you sneak off early have a good weekend. Be careful with those 4 wheelers!

Allison, sorry to hear about your shocking news
Couldnt help myself, forgive me.
I wish it would of found out the cause of the problem, then it might have seemed worth the pain. i can promise a MRI doesnt hurt, but i would make sure its an Open MRI unless you dont mind being in a tube that hums rather loudly. I hate the closed in feeling, so I get the open one.


Dawn thats good to know about the show. I have thought about seeing it once but wasnt too sure about it either.

Well Minnie has hurt her back leg again by just playing. Her legs are delicate from early abuse. Last night she was hoping on 3 legs all night. It was very hard to get her down and up the 4 big steps we have to go outside.

She only moved a couple times all night. Once when i checked on her, she had tears in her eyes. So I massaged her leg gently and she fell back asleep.

Today seems to be better, she is lightly walking on it. But she loves all the extra attention she gets when she is hurt. Of course Pixie is right there to get her share of attention too. Which can be tricky sometimes with these 2 monsters.

Nor much happening here today. Going to double check my list for supplies for our camping trip and enjoy the sunshine

hi Dawn, we seem to have posted at the same time.
we wont be leaving early due to the fact we are meeting 2 other people at a rest area at a specific time sunday morning . Although it is early morning when we leave, just not a day early.

I will be careful. I stay on the beginners trails and never go alone , plus I have the right clothes and safety items like helmets,face shield, gloves, boots etc...
Greg says i look like the Great Gazoo from the Flintstones when i ride . He says I look so tiny on the quad and my head looks huge with my helmet on
I wont say what he looks like

I will have photos to share when we return.

Yes, he kept digging it around in my thumb muscle. That's bruised this morning. Apparently that nerve didn't respond at all. But I did bleed like crazy!

He just kept asking about my neck. "Nope dude, the neck doesn't hurt but I've got numbness from my hand all the way up to my shoulder."
