Thanks Amanda, that's a great list!! I was just starting to go back and make a similar list and then I saw your post!

Our home e-mail is Pops2003@aol.com. Let me know on this thread if you send an e-mail and I'll check it. I usually check this board at least once a week but I don't check home e-mail very often. It seems like all I do at work is check e-mail and talk on the phone, so at home I try to avoid those things.

I'll ask DH if he can help with posting pictures etc. I'm not that advanced!

The weather in Ohio today is sunny and 50 degrees.....Oh my gosh it's a heatwave!!! We are so deprived of sun it is pitiful.

This has been a good week. Friends of ours had an Easter Egg hunt and dinner at their house on Thursday. 30 kids age 1-10 and parents. The weather was nice and there was plenty of wine (and juice boxes of course). The kids just started their Spring Break Friday.

I just bought tickets to the Jimmy Buffett concert in July! That will get me ready for a cruise!

Your welcome all! I was too lazy to go back thru all the posts and try to catch everyone's kids! LOL I figure most everyone was like me, would like to have penpals for the kids, but not enough gusto! LOL So I just took the info from dutleya's list. I will keep this bumped and hopefully we can add more as we go along. This just helps us see what kids are in what age groupos! LOL
My kids do not know that we are sailing yet, so I would like to just tell them they are making a friend. Than when we sail, it will be an even biger surprise when they learn their friends are also going.

That's fine with me. Nicole and Matthew know that we are going on a cruise, but they have no sense of time and they don't really get it yet. So, I don't mind telling them that they are just making a new friend. Cute idea.

Who is staying at Ron Jon so far?? We recently switched our ressie from Radisson to Ron Jon because it was cheaper. We originally had two rooms at Radisson (king whirlpool room and a std) and it was quite a bit cheaper to do a two bedroom at Ron Jon with the 25% discount code that I got from the DCL thread. I think we saved $40 or $50 for the night.

We have rented a minivan from the airport and will arrive at Ron Jon in the early afternoon (1:30 - 2:00). The kids will probably swim in the afternoon if it's warm enough and Greg's mom and I will probably go do last minute errands. I think we'll go to dinner at The Grill (I think that's the name of it).

After the cruise I think we'll take Tiffany Towncar to Wilderness Lodge and make a grocery stop. We will be at WDW for 4 nights and go to MVMCP on Sunday. Anyone else going to WDW after the cruise???

Does Ron Jon's let you leave your car parked at the resort while you're cruising? I'm undecided whether to just stay at VWL that Friday night before the cruise (I arrive Wednesday, so it's a question of staying there 2 nights then moving to the port or just staying put for the 3 nights) or move to the port to save the expensive dvc points & the parking fee at the terminal.

Were doing All Stars Movies before the cruise and one night at POL Resort after, I'm really excited at being there for Thanksgiving as we dont celebrate that over here, but hear and know alot about it, any recomendations for a good restaurant for a Thanksgiving dinner would be great. Were hoping to see the Osbourne lights & Candlelight prosession, I keep checking for dates but there not out yet, got a feeling we will be doing a lot on our last night at POL, but fingers crossed they will be on thanksgiving week any info appreciated!!! Gotta go & eat some Eastet eggs now, sorry Dzneprincess diet down the drain this week!!! I'll try better next week.... honest.

I would imagine this years will be similar, and probably the same locations. We live an hour away from WDW and last year, and since we were leaving on the same cruise last yer, decided to not cook and go to WDW for Thanksgiving. We waited too long to make reservations- ended up eating Turkey legs in MGM. I think you can make ressies 60 days out - maybe more since you are staying on property. My recommendation - make them as soon as you can!

Izzinmac Thanks for the info - so many to choose from!! I've heard the Liberty Tavern has good revues, dont know if I fancy being in MK on Thanksgiving though heard it gets very full. I will have to think about this one!!!
Were staying on International Drive the week before All Stars Movies- Holiday Inn International- heard mixed reports about this hotel but they seem to be improving, were over for nearly 3 and half weeks, week 1 International Drive, week 2 all stars, week 3 cruise + 1 night POL - Longest holiday we,ve ever had and longest cruise too!! (did 4 night cruise 2years ago) Cant wait to go but then I,m dreading it coming as that means it will soon be over!!! Gotta go and walk the Easter eggs off now.

I hope everyone had a happy Easter! I need to start walking off Easter candy too, but it's so cold and windy I don't want to go outside!! Last week was definitly NOT a good diet week!!! Oh well, there's always this week!

I just read in the Costco magazine that there is a new book of South Beach Diet recipes. I think I'll look into that. I have the SB Diet book and I've liked most of the recipes I've tried. The first week I followed it I lost 6 lbs! I can't wait until it gets warm so that I can go walking!

Denise - Thanks for the hotel list! Are you staying at Ron Jon or elsewhere??? Do they have a shuttle for a fee? So far DH is going to drop us off at the port around 10:30 and then return the rental car and take their shuttle back to the port.

Traceycopper- We had dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern and everyone really enjoyed it. We are making a return trip there this year. Brown Derby at MGM might also be a good choice but I don't know what their menu for Thanksgiving would be. Like you, I don't know if I would want to be in the parks with the crowds on Thanksgiving! You might try going on the Restaurant board and asking people who have done it before. I'm sure some of the resorts have a nice menu as well.

Yep, flying in on Thursday for two (hopefully beautiful) days at Ron Jon before we cruise! They don't have a "free" shuttle, you can get a shuttle service from their property for a fee. I know if you do a Ron Jon search on the cruise board there is someone who mentions it. We're renting a car, so it's not a problem for us.
