11/27/04 the sequel.....

dzneprincess, have sent you PM with info i think you will need, any questions let me know. Thankyou XXX

Hi everyone, its so nice to see us back on the 1st page! Kids are back in school, all is crazy, my house is a wreck and here I sit on the boards LOL!!

We are going to request the PLAPLAP dining rotation when I make the REASP resies. If we don't get it that's fine, but it dosen't hurt to ask.

A dis meet at 3:00 sounds good, but whatever the majority wants is ok with me. I am planning to make luggage "tags" and a tag for my back pack using lime green Mickeys from Home Depot paint dept. I don't know exactly how yet but I thought it would help identify us to other Disers since we won't have a gaggle of kids to set us apart!!! If anyone has any other ideas, let me know.

We might also be able to do something on Fri late afternoon or early evening in Coco Beach. We are staying at the Ron Jon and will have a rental car. Our DD will just have turned 7 and our son will be 5. I'm hoping if they meet some other kids they will feel more comfortable spending a little time in the kids clubs.

Well, all for now. Have a great week everyone!:)

Gailyn

Just thought i'd give us a bump, dont want to end up on page 2!!!

Have sent you a PM & your a star:teeth:

Wow, seems like forever since I've posted!

Ok, first of all I think we're going to be booking the Dolphin Encounter in St. Maarten and doing Sapphire Beach on our own at St. Thomas. Since we're traveling with older kids, we'll probably just take it as it comes on St. Thomas and Castaway Cay - no planned excursions. They'll be happy just swimming in the beautiful caribbean water.

We've booked the REAS and requested PLAPLAP. Have booked our Palo dinner & brunch and massages.

We'll also be staying at Ron Jon and I think we'll just hang out there before our cruise. I can't wait to meet all of you! Since this is our first cruise, I have no idea when is a good time to meet, so I'll meet whenever everyone else wants to. The only problem is a friend of ours has a very large group going (35+) and they are actually having a private cocktail reception. She has graciously invited us - she's such a sweetie - and I don't know when that is going to be. I thought I heard her mention it was sometime on Saturday.

I wonder what will happen to us if any of the ports are heavily damaged? Guess the next several days should tell.

tracey I have received no other pm other than the initial one with you families info in it! Darn it I wanted that star too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:o

Whew!! I am SO glad that we decided to cruise in late November rather than over Micah's (real) 12th birthday...tomorrow!! Our cruise would have definitely been stressed-filled-hopefully nothing like what it will NOW be like!!!

Sending pixie dust and prayers to those in FL,
:p IVY :p

Well our pre cruise plans have changed slightly - my DS's were talking about how much they would miss going to Universal/Islands of Adventure so I started to look into how we could plan this. I cancelled our plans for Discovery Cove (I know I am kind of sad) and booked four nights at Royal Pacific for four nights at $162/night through Paramount Travel. This is a good price, I called Universal and the cheapist room for those nights are $209/night. I normally don't stay on-site but that FOTL is my incentive. With the internet deal of $95/person for a five day pass It is just slightly higher than one day at discovery cove. We still have the option of the Dolphin swim at St. Thomas. Dennis have you already booked yours? We have the Reas plan as well but I haven't called yet. I quess I should on Tuesday since my cruise is paid for, I quess from your post they will give you the dining arrangements. I don't want to miss the pirate night which is the best night to book Palo's any one help me with that one?

Denise - a thousand apologies - I wrote Dennis - please forgive me - I owe you a fou-fou drink. (I don't think I am drinking any yet but my spelling is terrible tonight)::yes::

Sent you the message again, hope you get it this time!!

Noticed some of you have managed to book Palo & spa can i do this by e-mail? Didnt think you could pre book these, excursions are 60 days right?

Can anyone recommend cheap car to get to port, we are not driving as insurance is expensive, have tried happy limo and fl tours but for 2 adults & 1 child seems a lot more expensive than Disney bus but dont know if i'm pricing it up correctly.

We got our cabin number its 7067.

Sending our thoughts & prayers to all those in Florida area:worried:

That's ok. If you're buying the fou fou drinks you can call me anything you want!

We can't book excursions until 60 days, right? That should be at the end of the month sometime. Guess I'd better start figuring that out.::yes::

Everybody should be updated now. If not, let me know!

If everyone wants me to, I can add excursions to the list whenever everyone starts booking them.

CurtS - in an older post (I've been away) you mentioned needing 2 cabs to get to Coral World. Just wanted to let you know that won't be necessary because the cabs are mostly vans and they all charge by person not by car load.

I've stayed on St Thomas a few times (and cruised there many also) so if you have questions I may be able to answer them.

dtuleya - great idea to add excursions (Disney or on-our-own) to the list.

Diane

Should we post the DIS meet location on the passenger list too? Might make it easier to find instead of being buried in the other posts. Of course, we have to decide where/when first.

It seems that many agree that it is tough to have a meet during the sail away party. Too busy singing, dancing and watching us sail away.

How does 3:00 sound to everyone?

What's open (according to old Navigators) on deck:
1. Outlook Bar
2. Plutos
3. Pinocchios
4. The two pools
5. Or ... pick a spot on deck 10 (not as crowded as 9)

Someone (sorry I'm too lazy to go back and check) suggested an alternate indoor meeting place in case the weather is bad. What's open inside
1. Diversions
2. Promenade Lounge

Any other suggestions or preferences?

Diane

I think it's a great idea to add as much as we can to the passenger list. Closer to the time, I'll even add the kids ages/names. I know it's buried a few pages back. It will be easy to cut and paste so that we can print it out before leaving.

What does everyone else think?

Hi everyone - Hoping you are having a dry Labour Day holiday. Looks like it is getting ready to rain here in NC. What are everyone's thoughts on Castaway Cay and the possibility of us going there? I read on the other boards that the last time they needed to rebuild after Andrew they made a stop in Key West. Personally - I would like to see Key West but I know that not going to Castaway Cay would be so disappointing to so many people. (That could be a good excuse to book another cruise). Would we stop there first like on the western? or the last day? Who wants to speculate? Denise what did you guys decide about Discovery Cove? I cancelled our Thanksgiving ressies for four - so there are four more spots open. After reading your article posted on the other board - I don't think St. Marteen is an option for us either. I guess I will just have to wait until my next Orlando trip. Have a great Labour Day everyone.

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is ok!
Izzi, how did you all do during the storm? I hope you did not sustain any damage?
Same goes for any other floridians on this thread!
I am cruising the Wonder in 2 weeks (hopefully, have to see what Ivan does) so I will be able to report back to you all about CC. Hopefully it will be reopened for our November cruise.
Tracey, I did receive your 2nd pm. I thought I had answered it already by replying directly to your yahoo email? IF not, the gist of what I said was, when I inquired about desserts, the rep told me that you had to order them at the restaurant? Why were you thinking that it had to be done before hand? Is it because it is Thanksgiving Day? Also, I did have to give my CC number and name to hold the ressie, but I figured if you decide yo keep the PS I can call them back and give them your info.
Stay safe everybody!

Well April, I think we're going to wait until next year and go to DC. I just don't have a good gut feeling about the Anguilla Dolphin swim. Why did you cancel your DC reservations?
