11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

Denise,

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!

Let me know how your dance turns out and if your house sells. :rolleyes1

Apparently I did mine wrong, but luckily Kathy's dance worked for both of us because I did manage to get a little snow my way out of it. :lmao:

I WILL ONLY JOIN THE DANCE IF THE GUY WITH THE "BIG HAIR" IS THERE!!

Well I'm part Cherokee too, but I figured I'd scare the h*ll out of my neighbors if they saw me dancing naked on my front lawn with a rubber chicken! :rotfl2:

GEE BY NOW I WOULD THINK YOUR NEIGHBORS WOULD NOT BLINK AN EYE...
JUST GREG ACTING LIKE GREG I WOULD THINK!!:lmao::lmao:

Happy Wednesday everyone,

Kathy

KATHY THE DATE ON THIS POST SAID "TODAY" WHICH MAKES IT THRUSDAY NOT WEDNESDAY......I'M JUST SAYIN:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

GOTTA RUN....

DENISE:banana::banana:

I have so many trees and my house sits so far back from the road that nobody would see me anyway.....except possibly my neighbor across the street, but they're in Arizona for the winter.

Denise,
Great job on getting the top of the page!!:thumbsup2
Greg almost snagged it.

You know I wondered afterwards if I had written Wednesday instead of Thursday:confused3 But I never went back to check or correct it, too lazy I guess.:lmao:
I figure everyone knows how great my mind works so it wont phase them;)

Rain is starting up again.:sad1:

I did get all my marshmallow cut and wrapped, 12 cookies baked and frosted.
Minnie and Pixie were happy, 2 of the snowflake cookies broke in the oven so they got to eat them.

Tomorrow I will bake a different kind of cookie.
I want to take 2 of the best cookies for my mom to have to eat when I visit this weekend.

My laundry is all washed but not dried so after my lunch I will get them into the dryer.
I am like the Pokey Little Puppy today. Moving very slow.

Thats all for this afternoon,

Kathy

Thats ok on being slow today Kathy.....we all deserve thoes days.....this last saturday, I got up and was going to go grocery shopping.....made my list then went back to bed......stayed in bed until 2pm watching tv in my jammies....finally got up and got ready went to the show and dinner.
Sunday I was to take a ride to my dads, decided not to go and did my grocery shopping some gift wrapping and that was it all weekend.
It was very nice, peaceful and restful.....saving my energy for Christmas weekend.

Greg, I am soooo sure that you could arrange for big hair guy to nude dance on my lawn......I understand that you have connections!!! Not sure what kind of connections,:confused3 but connections, none the less!!!!!:thumbsup2

Well going to sit and watch some tv...then clean my bathroom:crazy2:....
I hate cleaning the bathroom.....so it's always the room that takes more time to clean, since I dont do it that often.;)

Have a good one
Denise:banana::banana:

Denise, have fun cleaning that bathroom!

Morning everyone!

I just got the kids out the door and on the bus for their last day of school this year! :woohoo:

Its been so warm the past few days that most of my snow is melted AGAIN!

I guess we're going to celebrate both Nicole and Holly's birthday on Sunday. Holly's birthday is on the 20th and Nicole's on the 22nd, but it will be easier on family to celebrate the same day.

Janel and I went and picked up both our 90 year old grand mothers last night to take them around to see the Christmas lights.

As soon as we arrived where all the lights were the main transformer at the power station exploded and power went out all over the valley!!

It was really strange.....it was completely dark everywhere except for car lights as far as you could see! Both our grand mothers were glad they were driving in the car with us instead of being at home in the dark!

Once we got home the power came on, but it was to late to go back to see the lights. Maybe we'll try again tonight?

I'll check back later......

Well at least you didnt blame it on me this time:lmao:
I would never do that to your grandmothers. of course if it was just you, well thats a different story;)

Not sure if the kids here get out today or not? They use to go until the 23rd.

Denise, Guess what?

It's FRIDAY!!

See i havnt completely lost it:rotfl2: Pretty close some days though:rolleyes1

Cool and rainy today. I think we are about 45 headed for 55 or lose to it with lots of rain.

I need to get some gas for the truck today and will get some milk at the gas station too while the pups stay in the truck. My only other plans for the day is to bake a few cookies.

It was funny last night. Greg sat down in his chair to have a couple of cookies for his dessert. I always leave a few small cookies with no frosting for the dogs so they will quit begging for his cookies.

So he had one for each of them and his 3 cookies.
He broke them each off a bite then sat the rest of the cookie on his lap. He took a bite of his and looked own and Minine had gently grabbed the rest of the pups cookie and whoofed it down while Pixie sat there all sad looking. I watched her do it. She moved very slow so not to get his attention.

so then he gave Pixie a bite of the 2nd dog cookie and then both a bite and it was gone. As he was eating on his cookie i looked over and Pixie had quietly stretched her long muzzle over to where his last cookie was and was licking the frosting. Guess she figured if Minnie could do it so could she.

Now Greg didnt notice her. During the next few seconds all the arny tricks he pulled on me over the years passed before my eyes. Do I tell him or do I let him eat the cookie and then tell him? Such a hard decision!

It was a really tough decision.
But then I thought about Santa and how he might get wind of it if I was a naughty girl and didnt tell him so just as he reached for it I tattled on Pixie.:rolleyes1 I am such a little :littleangel:
He'll never know how close I was to not saying anything as payback:lmao:

Later,
Kathy

i think DCL is about to start discounting this summer's Med cruises. Out of the blue, we (like everyone cruising the Med I believe) were given a $100 per PERSON onboard credit. That's 400 bucks just like that and on top of what we already had from booking onboard.

Denise, have fun cleaning that bathroom!

Jeff, there has been oodles of chat about that OBC on my TA cruise. A few of them got the checks too and soemone called DCL and said ti was a mistake for the TA cruise but they would honor the ones they sent out. I keep looking and hoping I would get one before they discover their mistake;)

It is just for the Med and Baltic cruises. AWESOME isnt it:cool1:

Did you read about Cinderellas Ball as an excusrion in Russia? It sounds like so much fun. I would love to do it but we are not heading there.

It's every girls dream:love: Plus its in the evening so people can still do other excursions during the daytime.
Only Disney could pull this off.

Denise, as Kathy already pointed out......you can only do it once a year.

Well that was interesting?!

My aunt just called me to tell me she's having live lobsters shipped to our house on Christmas eve as our Christmas gift from her this year.

I've never cooked live lobster before and she was trying to tell me how to do it. The entire time I was thinking...."why don't you just send us a Red Lobster gift certificate?" :rotfl2:

I'm sure the kids will think its the coolest thing ever to have live lobsters at our house.....until I go dunking them in boiling water! :lmao:

Greg,
did you get back out to see the lights?
I couldnt cook any thing alive. After its been killed by someone else no problem but I cant do it if its still alive!!
I hope you will be merciful and put in the cold first which puts them out before you drop them in boiling water.
One of my sons loves to catch crayfish and cook them that way but NOT in my house!!
I know that doesnt make sense but thats just me.

Just about to go and visit my mom today.
They are giving her the anxiety pill at 8 a.m. so she will be good until around 2 p.m. and at 3 she gets another one. So this is a good time to go.
Plus one of my brothers will be there so if she gets too bad there is someone to run and get the nurse to give her another pill.:thumbsup2

I am taking a few more vacation photos which she loves to look at and it stimulates a conversation. Although we have to write alot now since her hearing is about all gone now.

I'll check in tonight or tomorrow, going to take all day to drive there, visit for an hour and drive back.

Have a great day everyone,

kathy

No we didn't get out the see the lights again. We had my in-laws and my mother over to our house for prime rib dinner last night.

We had thought about going after dinner, but everyone ate so much that we were all sleepy after wards.

I've never heard of putting lobster in cold water to knock them out? The lobsters she's sending are from Maine.....don't they live in near freezing water anyway? :confused3

We'll give it a try and see what happens?

I guess its an entire meal she's sending with Chocolate cake, clam chowder, 4 3lb lobsters, bibs, shell crackers.....the works!

I hope you have a nice visit with your mom! :thumbsup2

Greg,
actually I think they put the lobsters in the feeezer for a few minutes rather than cold water. They sort of go into hibernation mode. Some say it is more merciful to them because they dont feel being boiled alive although you gotta wonder about freezing alive too??:confused3

Well mom was out of it so I couldnt visit.
She had been up and dressed and had breakfast then apparently went back to her room changed back to her pajamas and went to sleep and she doesnt want to wake up now.
Her pill was at 8 a.m. and this was 11;00 A.M., so it may be her meds but the aids tried to get her up but she would just fall back to sleep on the bed.
Anti anxiety pills can make you sleepy but they said this would NOT knock her out, just make her a bit groggy. So I dont know for sure if it is the drug or the heart just going to slow for her to wake up?

Anyway one of my brothers showed up too, so we had a visit for a few minutes but then mom still wouldnt wake up so we left to come home.
I will call the nurse later to see if mom does the same thing with her 3 p.m. pill or is she even wakes up today.

I took 2 boxes of chocolates with me. One sugar free, one regular and put in a Christmas bag with a card thanking them for giving mom such good care. Boy those ladies got really excited to open those up. I hope they leave a few for the next shift:lmao:

Gotta go,
tomorrow will be shopping for my last present I need. A sweater for my mom.
back later,

Kathy

Kathy, sorry to hear you weren't able to visit with your mom yesterday.

If she is able to sleep that's always a good thing.

We're going to be busy, busy here today. Trying to get ready for church and then for Nicole and Holly's birthday party with the family later this evening.

Have a great day everyone!

Evening all,

well I got all my shopping done today. I went to 2 Malls I had never been to before. They were huge and really had lots to choose from.

Then I got back and found Greg had tweaked his hip and back again so he is hurting tonight. He was doing some extra heavy cleaning for me.

So I was already pooped when I got home but had to fold laundry, do dishes as well as wrap presents and help him, plus take the pups out. So it was a long day for everyone.

Going to put on a Christmas movie this evening. I have a feeling tis going to be a long night tonight for Greg.

Greg hope the birthday celebrations went well.:goodvibes

Kathy

Morning everyone,

Well it was along night of getting up every 45 minutes for Greg with the pain in his back and hip. Of course when he would get up it I would wake up and so did the dogs.
Then about 5 a.m. as I was actually getting some rest Minnie had to GO.
That is rare but I knew she meant business, so I got up , put on my shoes and took her out and she took care of business.
I came back and laid down and 10 minutes later Greg was up again, so we just stayed up.
I slept on the couch so he could move around and find a good sleeping position. I hope to get a nap today.

Greg is going to work, I think he should be going to the Dr instead but he is subborn, so we shall see how bad he hurts when he gets home. It may be a different story. He said he would come home early.

Other than that its a quiet day today. warm and rain is coming. But tomorrow is drier and colder. May get some snow around us over night. Maybe even us.? It's not suppose to last if it hits us.

Greg, Jeff, Denise, Danielle, anybody got some snow today?

Kathy

Good morning Kathy!

Sorry to hear about Greg's back. I hope he gets feeling better soon. :thumbsup2

Hopefully you'll be able to get a nap today. :faint:

No snow hear yet! :sad2:

The weatherman keeps saying we're going to get dumped on, but each morning I wake up and there's only a light dusting of snow and it all melts by noon.

If it doesn't snow soon the kids will be driving the snow machines across the dirt! :rotfl2:
